My son started here just over 9 months ago and his confidence has grown so much in that time. Prior to joining he was very hesitant of any contact sports etc but has had the opportunity to learn in a very safe and very controlled environment. He thoroughly enjoys the sessions.

I always wanted to keep fit but lost motivation in the gym. Taekwondo not only keeps you motivated and fit, it works you mind too. Russ Martin's clubs are friendly and very supportive too. If like me you start to love Taekwondo and obtain a ‘Black Belt’ you will become the best you can be. I’m fourteen years in now starting at 46 I still enjoy every session and made great friends too. I loved that my son and daughters shared in his enjoyment of this martial art which has benefitted their and mine journey in life.

As a father of two daughters I wanted to find an activity that taught my children self confidence, self defence, discipline and the importance of physical fitness. 9 years ago they nervously went to their first taekwondo lesson. What we found was everything we were looking for and more, we found a family. Now I have two teenage 2nd Degree Black belts. Confident and competent young women thanks in no small part to this wonderful club. Highly recommend.

Never in a million years I would anticipte joining (any) martial art classes in my 40's - let alone to enjoy it! 2,5 years on - I am still at it! Me and a family. The hardest part is to turn up - the rest is a breeze;D Great Taekwoondo school for adults and kids- I regret not joinging up sooner!

These classes benefits in improving physical strength, flexibility, self defence. Also helps in improving soft skills like self-discipline. If you are looking to learn taekwondo or do regular physical activity or to learn life skills or to improve on soft skills, this is place. Look no further. The Bristol North Taekwondo club run by Mr. Martin is the best club around. My son has been to other clubs (in Scotland) and he has seen the difference, there is a genuine focus on understanding the art and overall personal development. Would definitely recommend to give it a try.

Since join Russ Martin TKD Bristol, my daughter' confidence is growing. Teachers maintain each lesson not just focus on physical activities but also fun. At first, we were unsure to join then after did the free trial lessons, she's so excited to go for this lesson until today (green tag belt).

Mr and Mrs Martin have been totally supportive. It's always a welcoming atmosphere, and our teenagers from the first week they went knew they wanted to keep going, they were so excited, and still are. They always see the potential. The confidence levels of my kids have grown immensely since starting taekwondo.

I've been training here for around a year so far. This club is very good for self defense and fitness. The atmosphere of the class is friendly and welcoming for all ages and all skill levels. Mr and Mrs Martin are very good instructors. They make martial art skills simple for us to learn and practice. I had so much fun learning all those martial art movements and techniques. It's a good exercise for both our body and brain, as it not only make the body fit but also keep the mind concentrate when practicing the skills. I highly recommend this place.

My son and I have both been part of this club for 14 year's and we both love it! I enjoy it because not only is it great physical exercise but it also exercises my brain too. Everyone is friendly and supportive with each other. Master Russ Martin has a wealth of knowledge and experience and his classes are always informative and varied. It's never too late to give it a go!

My son started training with Mr Martin when he is 7 - now he is 16 and is black belt. The respect and discipline he has learned has been invaluable, and the friends we have made are friends for life! I even joined as well and although a bit of an uncoordinated dinosaur have loved the mental and physical challenge. The holistic and applied approach that Sir has with his training is a great lesson in life for my teenager.

I joined in September of 2022, and the experience has been nothing short of great. Met new friends while learning skills that equip me with the ability to protect myself from danger. Mr and Mrs Martin and the other instructors I have had over my time there have also been very accommodating and been really nice. It's just been really nice overall and would definitely recommend it to anyone anytime.
