I’d already left a review for The Brazilian Hut a number of years ago, but after so many years as a customer, I felt it deserved an update so I’ve deleted my old one just so I could write a new one, because they are just so awesome…
I’ve been going to the Mooloolaba salon every six weeks for my waxing needs for many years now, and the service is still second to none. Prash, Ash and Tennille are brilliant at what they do, and I’m always in great hands with any of them. When you keep coming back for so long, that says something about them.
A special mention also to Jo and Nadia, the brains behind the operation. You’ve built a business you should be incredibly proud of, and the standard your team delivers is what makes you stand out.
I’ve recommended The Brazilian Hut to so many people over the years, and I’ll happily keep sending people your way. And if Mooloolaba’s not convenient, there are locations in Noosa Heads and Brisbane too.

Jinny is amazing\! She’s quick, thorough, and pays attention to every little detail to make sure everything is perfectly smooth. She communicates really well throughout the appointment, making sure you’re comfortable and happy with the results. She’s also hilarious, so you always leave with a smile\! I was a loyal customer for over 10 years. I was a Wax Club member and a VIP member at various times. My regular monthly service spend ranged from $100-150 depending on my needs at the time. I recently asked if I could reschedule my appointment, admittedly it was last minute, but nonetheless they advised that my $60 deposit would be forfeited. I spoke to Yvette who said she would speak to the manager and get back to me. Nobody got back to me. I’m so disappointed that customer loyalty means nothing to them. Go somewhere else, a business that actually respects their loyal customers.
Jinny is super professional and so much fun! She makes you feel comfortable straight away, and the whole experience is much more enjoyable thanks to her great energy and sense of humour. Highly recommend! 😊

I went there for a bikini wax, and the whole appointment lasted exactly 7 minutes. The woman who waxed me was unfriendly and rushed, as if she was being timed down to the second. She was rough and it was painful. I’ve tried plenty of different places for waxing, but this is definitely one I wouldn’t recommend. And all this for 41$ !
Very happy with the service here. It was super quick and painless. I was in and out in 5 minutes! Carla at Noosa salon is such an amazing therapist. Best wax ever!
Super disappointed today.
I called to reschedule my appointment after unexpected car troubles. In the past, when I've had to move an appointment due to things like waking up with my period, the team has been incredibly understanding, so I was optimistic we'd find a solution.
Instead, I was told I would need to forfeit 100% of the service cost. I completely understood the inconvenience and would have happily forfeited my deposit, but that wasn't offered during the call. As a regular customer who books every 3 weeks and has only rescheduled once or twice before, I was surprised there was zero flexibility.
I tried suggesting alternatives:
• Could I come later today? Still 100% cancellation.
• Could I take public transport and arrive 30 minutes late? Still 100% cancellation.
After explaining that my car trouble was unexpected, I was then lectured about booking appointments on days I could "actually attend." If I'd known my car was planning a rebellion this morning, I probably would've scheduled around it. This continued for a moment with us both going back and forth about how disappointed we were in each other, like parents to a weeping child.
I ended the call saying I wouldn't be rebooking with Brazilian Hut. Ironically, shortly afterwards I received a text offering a 10:45am appointment where I'd only lose my 50% deposit. So a solution did exist after all. Trying not to make a hairy situation worse, I politely declined.
I absolutely LOVE my wax lady at Brazilian Hut. Jinny is hilarious and we bonded quickly. I have always received fantastic service there, which makes this even more disappointing. This review is not a reflection on the Brisbane site. Its a reflection on the american lady from what i'm assuming is their call centre/schedulling service. It felt less like I was a loyal customer trying to reschedule and more like I was auditioning for the privilege of giving you my money.
Such a shame, because the salon service itself has always been excellent.
I'm usually the one getting waxed but today I felt like I got ripped off instead.

All our calls are recorded for quality control. Given the call we request you remove your review.
We reviewed your voicemail and call. Your voicemail simply asked to change your booking, 15 minutes before your appointment and no time did you mentioned your car troubles. We offered you the option of keeping your original time to avoid the cancellation fee, and later offered another available appointment.
We understand that life happens, as you mentioned on the phone. After 20 years in business, we have booking policies because last-minute changes affect our team, other clients and the running of a small business. Imagine if 100 clients changed their appointments with just 15 minutes’ notice. We do our best to accommodate changes, but we cannot always absorb that lost appointment time especially on a Saturday.
Our policy is available online and in the salon, is included in our appointment emails, and is reinforced by a courtesy SMS 48 hours beforehand.
Given what was said in your voicemail and call,
We invite you to return to the salon for future Bookings, we understand it’s disappointing to be charged a small fee for cancelling and hope you understand our bookings policies in the future. You will Find these industry standards.
