Great shop, for retro games, figures, books, VHS tapes etc.
There are even some cool retro cars in the room behind the main shop area.
Definitely worth a visit.

Thanks for taking the time to leave this review, Paul. Much appreciated 🙏
Fantastic hidden gem of a place. Great selections of games at competitive prices. Ben is very knowledgeable across the board and a friendly face who wont bullshit you and tells you what you need to know.

Thanks very much, Chris! I operate an anti-bullsh!t environment 😅👌
I asked where their store was based after viewing some pages online, as I was keen on some items, but instead of receiving a courteous response I was faced with an unprofessional attitude.
If that's their customer service when handling simple queries, I can't imagine what it's like when something goes wrong. 😵
Owner DM'd me: "You appear to have sent me a message on Retro Sect and then blocked me so I can't even look at it or reply. Then you've let me a 1 star review when you've never visited or done business. I'm happy to return the favour and 1-star anything you're involved with, or you could admit your original message was a bit stupid and have a conversation with me instead of bitching about not posting where I'm based when I literally have posted it on every social platform and on Google Maps and on my website...."
I'm not sure why you're threatening me. I simply said it was difficult to see your store location from my device (desktop) and you gave me an attitude. I sent you screenshots from desktop showing you that store location isn't visible, and you doubled down, so I blocked comms because I'm not going out of my way to help someone who responds in a disrespectful manner.
I haven't visited your store, because your disrespectful approach shut down the interaction.

You have never visited and you've never communicated directly with me yet you feel the need to post this? Your post comment was pretty pathetic considering I post where my shop is everywhere. I tried to give a jokey response because frankly I couldn't believe you were posting that you couldn't find where I was bearing in mind everything I do on my website, social media and Google Maps to make people aware where I am. From the first comment this feels like you have an issue with me rather than genuinely wanting to give me any custom.
A cave of dreams. I will go back because in this modest shop of retro delights there is so much treasure. Lovingly collated. So many highlights of Western favourites of the 70s, 80s and 90s with sparkling gems from Japan. I went home with the Tauntaun - a dream toy I couldn't afford when I was younger. Dreams come true. And you can enjoy Alex's hard work on the Skyline next door. Thanks Ben for the service as shop owner and making dreams come true.
If you're reading this and thinking about whether it's worth the trip - it is!

Thank you so much for the lovely review, Anthony. I'll be sure to let Alex know he got a mention! 🙏
Its not often I would like to rate something significantly more than the allowed 5-stars but Retro-Sect is the exception. Everything is displayed in a tidy and logical order, the prices are very reasonable and it really is one of those places you can just hang out for a bit. Ben, the owner, is very knowledgeable and super helpful, and has a love for Japanese cars and pop culture which shows throughout the shop. Very fortunate to have this as my local retro game shop.

Great retro games store. Some hands-on gaming whilst you're visiting, some figures and a GREAT range of consoles, computers and games. Priced really well. Friendly service is putting it as mildly as possible. Would highly recommend.
