Hi Steve,
I’m sorry to hear these concerns. We put substantial care into packaging your order, including building a custom crate and clearly marking it “Do Not Stack” measures you yourself described as excessive at the time of shipment. Based on our conversations, you acknowledged the packaging was done properly.
It’s frustrating to now see that narrative reversed publicly. In 15 years, we’ve always taken responsibility when packaging was our fault. This wasn’t one of those times. The damage occurred because FedEx stacked thousands of pounds on top; no crate would have prevented that.
We filed the claim for you and passed along the full reimbursement. You would have been made whole except for your early cancellation of a one-year contract after instructing us to purchase tens of thousands of dollars in plastic. You admitted you were taking your business to another vendor who was charging you less. We incurred huge restocking fees and absorbed $1,500 in additional losses when we released your tooling and settled the matter in good faith.
We did our best to be fair in a tough situation.
