An 8 weeks post-training review: We sent our Cocker Spaniel Maisie on a 4-week residential training course with Platinum back in March, to focus on reactivity, impulse control, managing her excitement, and walking on a lead. During our handover we were very impressed with the difference in her behaviour. Imogen and the team have done an amazing job working with Maisie to teach her new boundaries. Her excitement and personality is very much still there, but she knows how to control it. No more pulling, jumping up, pacing, whining - a calmer and happier dog all round. The handover was thorough, giving us the skills to maintain the behaviour at home. There were a couple things we were unsure on once getting home, but the Platinum team were quick to respond in the group chat they set up for ongoing support. Now, 8 weeks on and the number of ‘reminders’ she needs is reducing week on week - she just knows how to behave properly! Throughout the course we had frequent updates from Imogen, including a weekly progress video every Friday which we looked forward to every week. Overall, we’re more than happy with our decision to send Maisie. The difference is amazing, and the results are well worth the cost. Thanks again to Imogen (Maisie misses you)

I can’t thank Jed and the Platinum K9 team enough! Our Labrador, despite being the most adorable lovable dog, due to his 45kg size meant we were really struggling with walking him and also stopping him from jumping up at people. When we picked Wilson up he was a new dog! Walked so calmly next to us, was just a lot more calmer in general and has stop jumping. Jed kept us up to date with frequent progress videos, and when it came to pick Wilson up he gave us an incredibly detail handover and how to implement all his new training back at home. It was also so nice to see how much Jed and a Wilson had bonded and how much he cared for him. One week later and Wilson has been amazing. I never thought I’d be able to walk Wilson without being stressed so I highly recommend using Platinum K9 for any dog training you might need. We will certainly be sending Wilson back for the next stage of training!

Platinum K9 have changed our lives. Our Corso x Bully, Brick. Was extremely reactive, lunging and barking. Couldn't take him on walks in built up areas. Since having him back we have taken him to cafes and pubs, he's now a better version of himself. During his stay we were given regular updates in a professional video format. The handover was precise and in depth. The aftercare has also been excellent, always on hand when we had questions. It is on the pricier side but completely worth it! My only regret is not doing it sooner. Thank you again!

We sent our large dog, Bruce, to Platinum K9 for 4 weeks of training. Right from the start, Ben explained everything over the phone and made us feel confident that we were making the right decision. The updates and videos throughout the training were amazing and it was great to see how quickly Bruce was learning new things with Connor, our trainer. During the last 5 days of training, Bruce became unwell — absolutely no fault of Platinum K9, just one of those things. Connor went above and beyond for us and Bruce. He took him to the vets, even took him home to care for him 24 hours a day, and kept us updated every second of the day. We honestly can’t thank Connor enough for everything he did. You can tell they built a really special bond. Bruce is so much better at home with us now, and we’re continuing the training ourselves. He’s like a brand new dog! Walks are finally enjoyable instead of being dragged around everywhere, and we can actually sit in the living room now without being climbed on and licked to death 😂 Thank you to everyone at Platinum K9, and a huge thank you to Connor!

We honestly can’t recommend Platinum K9 enough. Our dog Simba, an XL Bully, has always been highly reactive — to the point where walking him around other dogs just wasn’t possible. It was stressful, unpredictable, and something we started to avoid altogether. About two years ago, Simba completed his first training month with Platinum K9, and the results were incredible. He came back like a completely different dog. We were also given clear, solid advice on how to maintain that progress — unfortunately, we didn’t stay consistent with it, and over time things slipped back. That’s on us, not them. Fast forward to now — Simba has just completed another month, and once again, the transformation has been unbelievable. We’re now able to walk him through busy dog areas calmly without any reactivity, which is something we genuinely didn’t think would be possible. A huge thank you to Alex, who worked closely with Simba. You can tell he genuinely cares about the dogs and understands them on another level — it’s not just training, it’s real dedication. Every interaction we’ve had with the team has been top class. Communication with John (the director) has always been spot on, and even staff who aren’t directly involved in Simba’s training treat him like part of the family when we visit. That says everything about the environment they’ve built. If you’re looking for the best in dog training — not just results, but a place where your dog is genuinely cared for — Platinum K9 is, without doubt, the place to go. Simba will definitely be returning regularly for boarding, and we’ll also be booking our Frenchie in for training over the coming months.

We sent our 2 dogs (Nelly & Rocky) for 3 week residential training. We have come away with amazingly well behaved dogs but still with their own personalities and have been shown how to manage and correct behaviour when needed on our handover with Dan. We now get excited about walking past other dogs instead of finding it stressful and embarrassing! It takes a lot of trust to leave your dogs for a few weeks but we felt reassured along the whole way with photos and videos that they were both well and happy. (Which was enforced when picking them up as they were evidently relaxing and content around all the staff). We know they are still there if we need any guidance in the future. Definitely worth the investment and will be using them for boarding in the future.

We just picked up our dog Giggs and had to post a review! Giggs is extremely anxious and bites when he is scared. We have worked with other trainers before and have had no luck. We left with a dog that can be on his bed, emotionally regulated and that walks beside us. We will have the ability to have control over him and thanks to the guys at Platinum K9 he will have much better fuller life! A big shout out to Jed who answered all our questions, spent endless time training Giggs but most importantly loved him and made sure he was well looked after when he was staying there. Couldn’t recommend this place enough!

It’s not an exaggeration to say I was probably on the verge of a nervous breakdown, our circumstances are a bit unusual and I didn’t know where to turn. I stumbled upon Platinum K9 via YouTube so I went onto their website for more information and filled out the form. That was the beginning of our journey and from the start the team at Platinum K9 were professional and reassuring. It’s actually a really big thing handing a dog over to board and train and there is a lot of owner guilt wondering if you are doing the right thing but the team deal with dogs all day every day, they have a wealth of experience and knowledge and have probably dealt with every dog problem you can imagine. Kyran was the main handler assigned to our 7 month old fear reactive German Shepherd Saint. We had got to the point where we couldn’t walk him, Saint was petrified of everything, vehicles, people, dogs e.t.c he didn’t want to leave the house and we didn’t want him to practise bad behaviours so we were stuck. I can’t even start to imagine the amount of time, patience, and effort that has been put into the care of this dog, I don’t think for a second he could have been an easy case. Kyran managed to form a really nice bond with Saint, we couldn’t wait for the daily messages and videos on Saints progress and we were always excited for the weekly reports. Kyran also spent a lot of time on handover training us with clear concise instructions on how to handle our dog. Dog training is an absolute minefield and we had so many questions, Kyran and Jon were fantastically patient with us and it’s reassuring to know we can have communication with them when problems arise, we are still learning how to drive this machine. Big thanks to all the team some of which we got to meet on handover day but an especially big thank you to Kyran for the hard work and dedication he put into Saints training, he is more settled, calmer and happier in himself. It’s early days and we’ve still got a way to go but we have some knowledge on how to handle situations now and hopefully grow into confident leaders for Saint.

We sent our border collie, Banjo, for 4 weeks residential training. Before this, Banjo was a nightmare to walk. He pulled on lead and lunged at bikes, people, ect. Banjo also had moments where he would act aggressively towards certain people and family visiting the house. Since coming home, Banjo has been excellent with loose-lead walking and social skills on lead. Banjo was also taught bed training and although he makes mistakes sometimes, he has done very well with carrying on at home. While banjo was being trained, We were given lots of photos and updates for how banjo was doing and we also received weekly videos about his progress. Overall we are very happy about Banjo's training and we have noticed a massive improvement since he has come home.

We couldn’t be happier with the experience we had with Platinum K9’s residential training. Our Malinois pup stayed for 4 weeks and the transformation has been incredible. Before training, we were struggling with impulse control and some challenging behaviours at home. The team took the time to really listen to our situation and understand what daily life looked like for us. They even recreated our home environment and routines so they could work through the exact behaviours we were struggling with. In our case, that meant working into the evenings because our dog was only growling at night — something they took seriously and addressed with patience and expertise. Since coming home, the change has been life-changing. He now walks beautifully on a loose lead, has amazing house manners, and most impressively has learned how to truly settle and “switch off” in pubs and cafés. We’re now able to take him everywhere with us, which simply wasn’t possible before. His impulse control and overall behaviour have improved beyond what we imagined. A huge thank you to Imogen, who was absolutely incredible. She built such a strong bond with our dog and kept us reassured throughout his stay. Knowing he was with someone who genuinely cared about him made the whole process so much easier for us. The difference this training has made to our daily life is huge. We have our amazing dog back, but now with the skills and calmness to be part of everything we do. We can’t recommend Platinum K9 highly enough.

We couldn’t be any more impressed if we tried with Platinum K9. From the initial contact via email and telephone with Ben, right through to dropping Ronnie off for a month and then the consistent contact, updates and nothing but care and love shown for Ronnie throughout his stay, with regular updates on his training and welfare. They are a professional set up with a family feel. Jed has been fantastic as Ronnie’s primary trainer. He fully addressed all of our concerns and paid every attention to the minor details. We were amazed to know how much investment Kyran and Connor also put into Ronnie as his secondary trainers. They all know and treat him as their own and love him as much as we do. We feel equipped, well informed and also supported as we transition our journey from handover today, back home. Jed, Connor and Kyran invested a long time in training us to give us the skills we need to set Ronnie up with consistent leadership. We are forever thankful to Jed and the team for all their help and for the support as we move forward. Ronnie and Eric will be back for boarding it’s not goodbye, but see you soon. We sent our 8-month-old Cocker Spaniel, Ralphie, to Platinum K9 for 4 weeks residential training to address resource guarding and improve his general indoor and outdoor behaviour. The transformation when we collected him was incredible. Although Ralphie didn’t display any guarding behaviour while with Conor, he took the time during handover to clearly show us how to manage and respond should it occur once Ralphie was back home. This gave us a lot of confidence moving forward. Conor helped us establish clear, consistent boundaries and taught us how to correctly address unwanted behaviour. It quickly became apparent that with these boundaries in place, Ralphie no longer escalates to the levels of resource guarding we previously experienced. We are extremely grateful for the solid foundations Conor has put in place with Ralphie and look forward to continuing the work at home. We now have a much calmer, more structured dog who understands and respects boundaries, and we couldn’t be happier with the results. We would highly recommend Platinum K9 to anyone needing professional, effective training.

We went to Platinum K9 slightly frazzled and mildly concerned that our Ridgeback cross Doberman wasn’t actually a dog, but a reincarnated kangaroo. The vertical leap….Impressive. The selective hearing…. next level and the chaos….unmatched. We loved her dearly, but she was a lot. Enter Conor — calm, knowledgeable, and seemingly immune to being tackled at high speed by 30kg of airborne enthusiasm. From the first session, Conor understood that our puppy wasn’t “naughty,” just wildly enthusiastic about life and gravity defying stunts. With patience, consistency, and what I can only assume is wizard level dog psychology, Conor transformed our spring-loaded lunatic into a well mannered, responsive, actual earthbound dog. Walks are now enjoyable. Visitors can enter the house without signing a waiver. And our furniture no longer lives in fear. Training was clear, practical, and most importantly it worked. Conor didn’t just train our dog he trained us too, without ever making us feel like the clueless humans we absolutely were.

I highly recommend Platinum K9! Kyran has worked wonders with my French bulldog, who is people reactive. He was with them for 4 weeks residential training, and I received updates on his welfare as well as his training progress. Ballou is now much calmer and happier, he’s been taught how to walk on a loose lead and goes past all his usual triggers (mainly people) with ease. Kyran also worked on Ballou’s manners within a home environment, and he’s like a different dog! If you’ve got a reactive dog and need guidance, these are the guys to go to!

We sent our 4 year old working cocker spaniel to platinum K9 for resource guarding, he had bitten everyone in our family, and we didn't know where to turn to get help, from the first phone call with Jon I felt assured we were sending him to the right place. He went for 3 weeks in house training with Leanne and the team, we were given regular updates and videos throughout and Leanne answered any questions we had or gave us more updates when we asked. Boo has been home now for 4 weeks and we are so happy with the transformation within him, he's more regulated, calmer and genuinely more the family member we wanted. We were given the tools to help him settle back into his home life and have only had to use his training a handful of times since bring him home. We still have the WhatsApp group should we ever need support which is reassuring. I would highly recommend platinum K9 and thank you Leanne and the team for giving us Boo back.

Me and my family are so grateful to the team at platinum K9 and cannot thank them enough for the care and time they put in to helping our dog. We sent her on a 3 week reactivity residential course and were sent nearly daily updates which was amazing, and our nervous dog has been completely transformed by being there. She used to be very anxious, especially around other dogs and now she walks past them confidently and with ease. She is also generally happier in herself and less anxious in the house too. A special thanks to Imogen who formed a strong and special bond and provided incredible care and training. I cannot recommend platinum K9 enough, they are absolutely brilliant!

Joey was there for 3 weeks on a residential working on his resource guarding and random aggression. His trainer was Imogen and Jon who were absolutely fantastic with him. Not many people can build a bond with our dog even after knowing him for years as well as what they did in such a short space of time. He was a different dog when we picked him up a could see a difference in him almost instantly. Even after his training package was complete they have continued to support us and offer advice in anything we’ve needed. Would 100% recommend to anyone needing help with their dog and will definitely be back if we ever need boarding in the future, Joey says he can’t wait! ⭐
