UPDATE: I've been waiting for that worthless, insincere copy and paste response. so predictable. you can read, and you have my contact info.
Do NOT let them assign John K. Richards to your case!!!
6 months after signing a contract, and many lies about how he could win, he terminated my case even though there was no new information from the last time he lied to me, 3 months prior, about being able to win the case. keep in mind he knows I am a 100% Disabled Afghanistan Veteran, lived alone and couldn't walk for months!
I signed a contract in June and he called me for about an hour, rambling about how he won similar cases, explaining the process as if he’s done it many times. He said he will personally come look at the loose floorboards that caused my fall, ONLY 3.8 MILES AWAY. He called a month later saying the same lie about coming to see the boards. A month later, he called again. he said he would come in a week or two with an EXPERT to formally inspect the boards. For the next 3 months, he had 2 different assistants call me and go through a checklist about my recovery.
In 6 months, between the 3 of them, NONE of them drove the 3.8 miles/ 15 minutes to see the boards, but terminated the case based on pictures I sent 6 months ago, the first day we spoke. He said he can’t take the case because the boards weren’t damaged and they decided to terminate the case in a meeting. I think his superiors had to remind him that he does not have the skill, talent, or intellect to take a case unless there is a literal man-sized hole in the ground. the photos CLEARLY show several examples of physical damage visible to the naked eye. I tried to send videos, but the files were too large to email. I didn’t worry about it because we already signed a contract and never said anything to lead me to believe that there was any possibility that he would drop the case and he would come see them. he said he wanted to file ASAP and warned me my landlord might harass me.
I have videos using 1 finger to push the boards down next to a tape measurer that shows them sinking ½ inch, moving 2 other boards with it. I have several videos showing similar, with audio of the boards cracking while you can literally see cracks get longer, with 1 finger! the rest of my body is significantly heavier than my finger.
I sent messages that he completely ignored. Then I got mail saying they were giving out $50 gift cards for Christmas. I called to confirm. less than ½ hour, after not hearing from John for 3 months, he called QUICK to say he dropped my case, AND I couldn’t get my “Christmas gift”! Not even as a parting gift to apologize for wasting 6 months! SUPER CLASSY! The same day I got a letter saying they dropped my case. So if I didn’t call to reserve the card, I would have found out through the mail! A few days later, I got a CERTIFIED termination letter! about 30% of my communication with John over 6 months was him telling me he dropped my case! The letter was dated 9 days prior. So he knew for over a week, but I guess after getting my hopes up 6 months, he wanted to get my hopes up again for the gift card, like some kind of sadistic prank? You can see these guys are TOTAL PROS! also this was in the middle of the HOLIDAYS! Right after Thanksgiving!
I am legally entitled to 1 year to file a lawsuit. I didn’t look for a lawyer until I no longer needed a post surgery caregiver, over a month after the injury. Since he seemingly wanted to play his sadistic prank right in the middle of the holidays, I’m sure I won’t find another lawyer until after New Years. So the laziness, absent-mindedness, and plain disrespect for war veterans, I lost 2/3 of the time that I am legally entitled to to file a lawsuit. I am DEFINITELY reporting this to the Louisiana Bar. I will post updates.
before posting your copy and paste response telling me to contact your HR, know that I will update this review with your response. you have my contact information. if you can think of a reasonable resolution, YOU contact ME!!!
