Cannot recommend Mantair enough. What started out as another business damaging the pump to my waste management system, Mantair ordered a replacement pump and came to fit in no time at all. A month or so later the pump failed internally (no fault of anyone’s, just bad luck) I messaged their emergency team on the Friday night and they arrived Saturday morning with a replacement and dealt with everything before any major problems occurred, Mantair set the standard for how customer service should be! We used Mantair for a survey prior to purchasing our house and then instructed them to carry out works once the purchase was completed. Great service from start to finish of the project with the team having expert knowledge of the septic/tank sewage treatment systems available. The team on site were excellent and did a great job of the install, leaving the garden in top condition once works were finished. Would highly recommend

We are delighted with the work Mantair has just completed for us. We had a 7 person septic tank conversion and a new drain field. All the work was completed in 3 days by Matt and Joe, who were excellent throughout. Despite a tricky problem with the water main the team remained calm and determined. It was a pleasure to have these two young men at our home. Our garden had access problems with a steep narrow drive that was newly laid. Matt and Joe did everything they could to protect and respect our property and we are very grateful. Everyone we encountered from the Mantair team were polite, efficient, cheerful and customer focussed. Thankyou.

I contacted Mantair based on one recommendation. After calling them I never bothered getting any other quotes because of the extremely professional service. Mantair installed a new sewage treatment plant for us, disconnecting us from our shared septic tank with our neighbour and bringing our system up to current regulations. From the first call and visit, they were very professional, polite and courteous. Every site visit was on time and every member of staff was helpful and informative. We had to switch to a new bore hole set up int the end, but Mantair dealt with the Environmental licence application also.
Ross and Can, the installers, were exceptional, worked hard, did a professional job and did themselves and the company proud.
Everything was organised and was completed exactly as Mantair promised. If the new top soil wasn’t there you wouldn’t know that the down the whole side of our house it was completely dug up and new drains installed.
We would highly recommended them to any anyone needing type of work.

My septic tank soakaway failed and like many rural village properties I have insufficient land to fit a new drainage field to meet the current legislation/binding rules. Kevin’s initial site visit immediately reassured me and removed all of the stress that the situation had presented.
Mantair’s website claims “we’ve seen it all” and promise a bespoke solution. My experience is that this is entirely accurate. Kevin came back with a solution for me in a short time frame. Mantair offer a holistic service and deal with any Environment Agency permitting issues and Local Authority Building Control consents on the customers behalf leading to a stress free process.
As a specialist company, Mantair are extremely busy but all the site visits, soil percolation testing and final installation were arranged to a good timescale. Communications are efficient and all the team are professional and personable. It seems nothing is too much trouble.
Luke and Matt worked tirelessly during a 30C summer “heatwave” to install the system and I now have a Mantair septic tank conversion unit with infiltration tunnel soakaway system with EA permit making it compliant with all the relevant legislation. Based on my experience I have no hesitation in recommending Mantair. Thank you.
UPDATE:
On Sunday 18th Jan 2026 I noted the conversion unit didn’t seem to be discharging effectively. As preparation for making a call when the office opened on Monday morning I emailed some preliminary info to the Mantair team. Within a couple of hours, on a Sunday, Hazel had been in touch and arranged an urgent service visit for 10:30 Monday morning.
Neil arrived at 10:30 and quickly diagnosed and resolved the simple issue with an air system valve cap. Neil is a very personable man who obviously takes great pride and care in his work. He took time to explain the issue and to ensure all drains were flushed before leaving.
These things happen - nothing is 100% failure proof. However, it is the company’s response and aftercare that makes all the difference.
Once again I am extremely impressed !

Can I write a more glowing recommendation of Mantair than anyone here? I certainly hope so because Jim, Sam, Matt1 and Matt2 deserve it!!
Jim managed to squeeze us into his busy schedule on short notice when our home septic drainage system gave it up after more than five decades. His professional crew came as scheduled and retrofit our tank with Mantair's efficient treatment plant, then returned a week later to dig in the new, slim drain line and the "infiltration tunnel" to absorb the clean effluent. Sam led the installation team with clear competence and experience on both parts of the job to maintain continuity.
Enter a busybody neighbour who alerted the Environment Agency (EA) to our emergency works. Understand that Mantair had already submitted the permit to the EA. The EA in its inefficiency hadn't even taken note of the submission. An officer came out, had a look, and declared the drainage had to be moved because of the flood control embankment! They wanted the slim drain line moved 30 centimetres and the new drainage tunnel removed and reinstalled in another spot in the garden. Unbelievable!
Jim was the cool, consummate professional, though. He never embarrassed the official by pointing out he'd already submitted all the required paperwork. He simply worked out what needed to be done, scheduled it with us, and had Sam and his crew return to move the drainage line and tunnel and then remediate the hole where the first install had been. Not easy or cheap by any means, but Mantair relieved us of the burden of the EA's questionable diktat entirely. And didn't charge us a penny extra! We're so grateful as our renovation budget was running on fumes.
I can attest that Jim and company are honourable people who stand behind their word and their work - even when something unforeseeable goes wrong. This fine sense of honour sets them apart from nearly every other contract with whom we've worked.
Do you need septic work? You won't find better than Jim and Mantair.
