Missed several blatantly obvious key details when I used them to survey a property. All the wording they use in their reporting is intentionally vague so you have zero come-back. Missed drainage issue in garden, broken boiler, leaky chimney to name but a few….. PLEASE Avoid.
*Noticed TS’s reply to this review and I can assure you I had contacted them regarding another issue similar to the ones listed above and was brushed off. Review stands unfortunately.

It was our first time using Torus Surveyors and it's been a brilliant service from the team at Torus. They were reasonably priced against other surveyors I enquired with. The report is very thorough, easy to understand and has photos to explain the text. The report was issued on the agreed date. I would recommend Torus Surveyors and would not hesitate to use them again in the future!

Great experience with Torus for our Level 2 Homebuyer survey. Quick and professional communication through the booking process and our survey was provided in good time. The report was clear, easy to follow and we were provided with the opportunity to ask follow up questions to the surveyor. Would definitely recommend.
I would highly recommend Torus Surveyors. For a first time buyer the overall process is ridiculously complex, but Vicky and the team at Torus made the process of completing the building survey very easy. Vicky was very quick to communicate by email and phone, and made me feel very relaxed and comfortable through the process with her regular updates. The survey was booked in quickly despite the estate agent being difficult to get hold of, and Rob the surveyor called me the day of the survey to provide an update verbally. His verbal points and the written report a week later were very clear and useful.
The torus team are brilliant. I’ve needed a couple of RICs valuations due my property taking so long to sell and falling through. Every time I used them they have been so helpful with getting my report completed. I would recommend them and use them again if needed. Thank you for all your help.
Torus were really helpful with our RICS valuation. We needed this completing quickly and they got us an appointment within a couple of days and the report was ready very promptly. It was very easy to contact anyone with any queries we had and everyone we dealt with was very helpful. We would definitely recommend them!
This was the best and fastest turnaround I have had from a survey company. Vicky was wonderful and made sure our Level 2 survey was booked as soon as possible by skillfully engaging with the estate agent to arrange the visit. The surveyor who visited the house was equally professional and produced a report filled with useful images and comments in only two business days. I will not even consider using any other company going forward and would recommend Torus Surveyors to anyone.
All dealings with Torus were very positive. I was kept up-to-date about the survey booking and receipt of payment and was contacted by phone on the day of the survey as promised. The report was thorough and included photos as appropriate. The surveyor obviously took time to look at things very carefully. I was able to phone the surveyor after reading the report to discuss one or two points raised and seek further advice. Very glad I chose Torus. Thank you.

We used Torus for a HTB valuation. Due to a house sale we needed it done asap and they managed to fit us in and produce the report all within a week. Can't thank them enough for their help. Really efficient service and great email communication throughout.

I used Torus for a Level 2 Survey.
On initial phone contact with Vicky at the office she summarised and explained all aspects of their service with great clarity.
The USP I identified was that I was encouraged to discuss survey requirements and outcomes both, before and after the survey was completed. This genuinely puts you at ease. My surveyor was Richard. He was very approachable and informative on the 3 occasions I spoke with him. He even offered to meet me outside the property, directly after survey completion for verbal summary.
Any time that I had to call Vicky back, her and her colleagues in the office around her were very helpful to me.
I do not usually do reviews, but customer service did stand out with Torus

Fantastic service from Torus. After various quotes from the survey comparison sites I selected Torus as they were competitive on price and local for me (Altrincham). I spoke to Vicky who advised on which survey was most suitable and answered any questions I had regarding the process prior to booking. They scheduled me in, sent a link for payment a few days prior to the survey, advised the survey went ahead and then I received a call from Stephen the surveyor who talked me through the highlights of the survey. We received our survey the following day. The survey level 2 was in great detail and put us at easy with our house purchase. Great smooth process and both Vicky and Stephen were always happy to help and informative.
