I wasn’t sure if I would be able to start karate in my late 30’s, but from the beginning Guy’s Karate made me feel welcome. I have greatly enjoyed the senior classes, and I have learned a lot in my first year. The instructors are excellent and generous with their time. I would recommend Guy’s Karate to anyone looking for a high-quality karate school in the Maitland area.
Great school. Encourages their students to be the best version of themselves.

My boys love it! I can see my boys enjoy it every time they come for karate. The activities are engaging, fun filled and motivating. Also this year is our second time to come for annually camping. It was so much fun and my boys absolutely loved it.

We couldn’t be happier with our choice in karate school for our son Kodi. He has SO much fun and he always looks forward to attending classes. On top of that it truly is a family friendly karate school. Best school in the area in my opinion.

My son was attending a different karate school prior to GKS, one which we weren't happy with. Since coming to GKS he has remained engaged, he participates in every session, gets excited to go and really has fun each time. The senseis want the best from their students. The lessons teach skills to help the students in every day life, not just karate. They are very family oriented and passionate.

We have been part of the Guy's Karate Family almost 2 years now and the team are absolutely amazing. Our 12 yo daughter loves being a member of the Dojo and her Karate journey has given her so much in so many ways. Many founding positive life lessons, including a junior leadership program. My 11 yo son has been with guys karate school for 3 years now. He has become much more confident in himself, his fitness is growing and he loves turning up to train we are up to 5 sessions a week now.
He even has a few trophies to be proud of. Fantastic dojo.

I did my research for a family friendly karate dojo that was close to home, for my daughter to learn a new sport, karate! ! From the first consult & trial they responded swift quick, they have excellent, trained karate instructors & admin staff . They have always been approachable & friendly to help with all our questions with lots of knowledge. My daughter has gain a lot of confidence, focus , respect, patience and discipline attending GKS. She has come a long way with her karate training! Classes are great, always learning new skills and are a lot of fun. Have made life long friends here, that the whole family has now taken up karate! Highly recommend to everybody.

Love having your family in the Dojo. Thanks for the review
Everything about Guy's Karate School has been a really positive experience. Lindsay and the coaching team do a great job creating a welcoming, family-oriented environment where everyone feels included. The gym has a wide range of students from young kids through to adults, and the leadership program is a great system for helping younger students grow into confident leaders. The coaches genuinely care about the students and it shows in the atmosphere of the gym and the strong community around it.

Our 4 year old daughter recently commenced at Guy’s Karate School & has been having a blast. We can see how much she has learnt in a short period. She loves attending & they keep the classes fun & constantly change up lessons so that the kids remain engaged. They have plenty of helpers to assist with the kids, so if there are any that are distracted, they can quickly be bought back to paying attention. The kids are given stickers & awards regularly, which also keeps their interest & builds their confidence. We couldn’t be happier with our decision to join.
