My experience at La Belle Suzette was extremely disappointing.
Last night, I went there for dinner with my wife, who is pregnant. We were seated without any issue, and when it came time to order, we decided we wanted something sweet — specifically, two crêpes Suzette, which seemed perfectly reasonable given the name of the restaurant.
To our surprise, the waiter responded in a very rude and condescending manner, telling us that we were not allowed to order something sweet unless we first ordered a savory dish. Without any flexibility or proper explanation, we were essentially asked to leave.
This made absolutely no sense. If your restaurant is called “La Belle Suzette,” it would be logical to expect that customers can order crêpes Suzette at any time. The lack of logic, combined with poor customer service and zero empathy — especially considering my wife is pregnant — made the situation even worse.
This has been the worst experience I’ve had in France so far. I would not recommend this place.
