Working with Geico Builders has been a very smooth experience. I’ve seen lots of “my home nightmare” pieces, and was worried about starting the process. Although there were delays with the City and County permits, none of that impacted the work that Geico did. I worked closely with Mila Garifulina and Matias to get everything I needed for my mother’s new room and attached bathroom ( with shower). Geico’s contractors were here 6 days a week, they worked as quietly as possible, and they were very professional! They gave a time line of finishing before Thanksgiving, and even with outside delays, it was all done on time. I would recommend their work to anyone that needs major remodeling, such as an addition or ADU.

We had a complicated deck project and we are super happy with the results. As with any project there are going to be issues that come up but Victor who was the lead in our project was very responsive. Super easy to work with, accommodating, and listened to our suggestions. We have had other contractors who made changes without letting us know, implemented the changes, then came back saying "we had to do this and so this is the additional cost" without letting us know ahead of time. This was not the case at all with them. They are very upfront and involved us much more so than other contractors we have had. With the quality of the deck they put in we are probably not going to have any other deck projects for awhile, but we would us them again for interior projects planned in our home. Would highly recommend them.

It was a pleasure working with Jean and his crew at Geico Builders. After interviewing several firms, we chose Geico because it was readily evident that they had extensive knowledge, experience and professionalism to carry out our project. Jean was an excellent project manager, very knowledgeable and easy to communicate with. He was on top of every aspect of our remodel and guided us through the whole process. Jean gave excellent advice and creative ideas for our project. We wanted to raise our living room floor and other firms pushed for wood framing. Jean explained that concrete would better support the hardwood flooring we planned. To our amazement, his team installed rebar, poured, and leveled the concrete all in one day. The raised concrete floor was nicely done and we were very happy with it. Their concrete pricing was also very fair. Geico also remodeled our downstairs bathroom and removed a wall between the shower and the sink. The results were fantastic! The finish, fit, and flow were exactly what we envisioned. Special thanks to Jean’s crew for their excellent workmanship and attention to detail. They were hard working, conscientious, and thorough. They also cleaned up every night after their work. We highly recommend Geico Builders!

Our experience with Gieco builders for our home remodel was exceptional. We selected Gieco specifically because upon quote the project manager, Jean Toledo, offered many ideas and was very enthusiastic whereas everyone else that quoted the job offered nothing but a quote. Overall experience was 5/5. The scope of work we initially hired Geico Builders includes: building a new deck, installing a new pergola, and installing bifold doors and windows. Pros: project management (4/5). Victor was very easy to work with. He made sure all my requests were met. I wanted to use Timbertech instead of Trex, and he worked with me to get the materials for the project. Midway through the project, I asked Victor to install new artificial turf, and he quickly got a team out to do the project so we didn’t have to push the timeline out. There was a small miscommunication in the process for the turf. I wanted a specific brand of turf but got something else. Cons: craftsmanship and attention to detail (3/5). The quality of work was not what I expected. There was no attention to detail, and I had to double-check their work multiple times. Especially some of the mitered corners didn’t line up properly. It seems like the crew didn’t have much experience with bifold doors. I asked them to fix the door adjustment a couple of times, but they made it worse each time, so I ended up doing it myself. The artificial turf that they used was not very filled, so after they installed it, the seams were very noticeable, and some of the nails can be seen through the turf. Victor asked the crew to address the issues, but they can’t really fix all of it. EDIT: Mila and Victor reached out to me right after and wanted to make everything right and address all the issues for me. They came out the next day to go over all the things that need to be addressed. We work out a solution and they completely redo the turf. The result is a lot better.
