I’m leaving a 5-star review because, at the end of the day, the work was excellent, the price was fair, and every person we interacted with was kind and professional. We did encounter some communication issues along the way, but the quality of the final product and the courtesy of the team truly stood out.
We contracted Gaudioso for renovations on our new home in early March. We received a thorough, detailed quote very quickly, and the overall professionalism at the start was impressive. Shortly afterward, our HVAC system unexpectedly broke, and we needed to pause our original plans. Gaudioso was patient and kept in touch appropriately while we figured things out. When we changed the scope a month later and asked for help with the HVAC, they sent someone out immediately, which we really appreciated.
Up to this point, our experience had been fantastic. Where things became challenging was in receiving the updated estimate. For several understandable reasons: questions about whether the HVAC needed full replacement and someone being out on vacation—the quote was delayed. However, it was still very stressful to have to follow up multiple times, especially as the project stretched into the summer when we urgently needed AC. We also felt unsettled on the first day of work when the project manager, who had been to our home previously, seemed unclear about the details of the project. It made us concerned about how this project would go. Additionally, despite several requests to make my husband the primary contact (and even setting up a group text), communication continued to go only to me, which was frustrating.
Once the work actually began, though, everything went smoothly. The workers who came to the house were consistently kind, respectful, and tidy. They did a wonderful job on both the bathroom and the HVAC. After the initial hiccups, the project manager’s communication improved significantly when it came to decisions about shower doors, tile, and other details. There were still a few moments where communication could have been clearer, but things ultimately worked out well.
Overall, we’re very happy with the final result and with the professionalism of the team once the project was underway. Gaudioso is a great company with skilled, courteous workers, and with a few improvements to communication and project coordination, the experience could be even better. We would work with them again.
