Frenchside Travel made my dream trip come true! From the beginning, Karen was so patient with me as she helped me plan and find all of the things that I wanted to include in our once in a lifetime trip. She was so accommodating with our time difference for calls when we needed to talk. The trip was amazing and everything I wanted and then some. The drivers arranged by Frenchside were professional and friendly and always on time. The tour companies they chose for our activities were great - their guide staff were all very knowledgeable, warm, friendly and very accommodating. The payment process was easy and the follow up by Camille after the itinerary had been finalized was perfectly timed. She answered all of my questions in a timely and thorough manner. Inspired by Viking’s Normandy cruise, I wanted more flexibility to explore Normandy and Paris than available with the cruise format. I sketched out a rough Normandy and Paris itinerary. I didn’t want to make all the arrangements myself and was a bit intimidated by the language barrier. I searched the interwebs for French vacation planners and found French Side Travel (FST). I began to work with FST’s staff to flesh out and solidify the itinerary. They were a pleasure to work with and we put together a solid plan. They arranged for a rental car, tickets to Giverny, Mont St. Michel, Versailles, Musée d’Orsay, etc. They also arranged for private tour guides for the Normandy invasion beaches and the aforementioned attractions. Last but not least, we travelled with another couple and needed accommodations for four. FST arranged for a fabulous two bedroom “apartment” in Bayeux. It had a spacious, high ceilinged kitchen area and a cozy living room with comfortable chairs and sofa. Bayeux turned out to be a perfect home base for our Normandy explorations and we were there for five days. I wouldn’t have know this and this is an example of excellent decision making and insider knowledge on FST’s part. Our Paris accommodations were also terrific and in a great location putting us within easy walking distance of the places we wanted to see. It’s worth mentioning that both lodgings had splendid breakfasts – a great feature that saves a lot of time when touring. Looking at the trip as a whole, we didn’t have a bad moment or glitch, FST’s planning was flawless. In summary, I highly recommend French Side Travel to help plan your trip and make arrangements with boots-on-the-ground insider knowledge.
