I brought my 2018 Ford truck to Faithful auto to diagnose and repair an engine timing problem. The engine was starting to rattle due to the cam sensors wearing out. Jake confirmed the problem after a spending time to diagnose it. He also took time to communicate what causes the timing issue to happen as well as the process to repair it. It involved a lot of intricate engine work to replace the cam sensors. They provided an honest quote and stayed committed to the price when everything was completed. I was a little concerned with any engine work. But Jake and his team were very thorough on the repairs. My truck runs great and sounds like a new engine now. The rear brakes were also replaced. The enhanced performance is appreciated. I received great service for the extensive repairs. I can definitely refer Faithful auto for their level of expertise.
This is my experience at Faithful Service Auto on Chelton:
My 2002 Kia Spectra radiator was leaking, so I took the car to Faithful on May 15th. The mechanic did a cooling system pressure test for $56.42. The mechanic said my radiator was cracked, which it was. He replaced my radiator on May 19th for $542.46 (waited for part to be delivered ). When I received my car back, I remember hearing fluid sloshing behind my dashboard upon starting the car. I wondered if this meant my cooling system was not burped properly, but I just drove home.
Then on June 10th, my main radiator hose bursted and was leaking coolant. I returned my vehicle to Faithful to get the hose replaced, and ended up paying $278.01. Mind you, this time they do two pressure tests for $84.86 each. I don't know why the price is higher. It was a different mechanic who worked on my car this time. When I started my car this time, there were no fluid noises behind the dashboard. I now know that's how it should sound if air pockets are removed properly.
Even though my car is 24 years old, I honestly feel the mechanic on May 19th did not properly bleed the air pockets out of my cooling system and caused my hose to burst. I'm kicking myself for not going back inside to ask what the fluid noise was on May 19th.
Be aware and follow your intuition.
There is nothing 'faithful' about this auto shop. I originally chose this business based on its positive reviews, but man, was that a mistake. Looking back, these reviews must be from family/friends or completely fake.
I dropped my car off on Monday at 8:00 AM for all four brakes, spark plugs, and a door lock actuator replacement. By Tuesday at 10:00 AM, they called to say they couldn’t find the wheel lock for the brakes. While it isn't their fault the wheel lock was missing, my car had already been sitting at their shop for over 24 hours with absolutely zero communication.
When I asked if they had at least gotten the spark plugs done since they couldn't do the brakes, the front desk explicitly told me, 'No.' They claimed the brake parts took a whole day to arrive, and they planned to do the spark plugs only after the brakes got there, which means my car sat untouched for a day and a half for no good reason. At that point, I told him to stop all services completely because I was coming to pick up my car.
Yet, when I arrived just 30 minutes later, they suddenly claimed the spark plugs were finished. When I asked why they performed work after I explicitly cancelled, the owner, Jake, was incredibly condescending and rude. When I asked for a solution, he actually told me, 'Well, maybe don’t approve services you don’t want.' He even tried to play semantic word games, arguing, 'Well, you asked if the spark plugs had been done, not if we were working on them.
Let’s be clear, Jake. I have the right to cancel services before they are completed. It took them nearly two days to touch my vehicle, but the moment I said I wanted to cancel, those six spark plugs were magically installed within 30 minutes. He gave me a 'discount' for the spark plugs, but $654 later, given their dishonesty, I highly doubt the plugs were even changed.
The cherry on top? I took my car to another local shop for a second opinion, and they proved what an honest business looks like. They confirmed I don't even need brakes. My front brakes still have about 40,000 miles left on them, and the rear brakes are practically brand new measuring at 8mm. This shop is predatory, deceptive, and has horrible communication. Avoid Jake and this business at all costs. I still can't believe my car sat in a shop for two days just to get spark plugs done. Unbelievable. Don't trust every 5-star review you see online. Lesson learned.
After seeing metal in my 6.7l power stroke fuel water separator, Jake was very good at consulting what possible issues and problems were. Repairs included draining and flushing, the fuel cell, flushing, the entire fuel line, replacing the CP4 fuel pump with a CDR high-pressure fuel pump, Replacing both fuel rails and replacing the injectors. An expensive procedure but well worth the price considering options of damaging the motor and replacing the whole motor. Jake's team did an excellent job, the truck is running fantastic and the concern of a catastrophic failure in the motor is behind me. I will be returning to Jake's shop to install an EGR filter this coming month. I have all the confidence in the world and him and his team. Very knowledgeable and competent.
They were really fast! Dropped off truck and they got back to me the same day. They send a detailed invoice of parts and service giving total transparency before approving repairs.
Jake was very nice and easy to work with. They were able to troubleshoot the issue with a vehicle I just bought. The quote for repairs matched what I had to pay when I got my car back. No surprise costs, just straight forward pricing and repairs. Would definitely recommend this shop. In fact I’m bringing another vehicle to him with a coolant leak.
We discovered our daughter's SUV had a corroded battery harness just as we planned to head cross country. Called Jeremy and he got us in right away and did a great job replacing it. Saved us from having to rent her a vehicle. What a great experience!
Faithful service auto, does really good auto repairs without over charging. I was also able to complete some important work tadk while waiting for my car. I enjoy taking my car there because they are friendly, hard workers, kind people and they care about those they serve.

Jake and Jeremy have been amazing and extremely great to work with. They ran a diagnostic on my son's pickup and found the engine was bad and they gave me a fair pricing to include the customer service was unwatchable. This experience was amazing- great to find a trustworthy auto shop in Colorado Springs! The owner Jake is indeed an honest faithful man and all of his employees are great- especially Jeremy who is the customer face that is easy to work with and a provider of great info during your service. I have found comparing this auto shop to others they win every time for quality of service and price - they even gave me a nice discount this week on a service I trusted to them.
