Love it here! I've tried therapy in fits and spurts over the years but it wasn't until I met Lana that I really felt like I had someone capable to meet me exactly where I needed to be met. I didn't really know how badly I needed EMDR therapy to help me process some excess baggage that I've been holding on to for decades. She was also instrumental in helping me manage my depression. She's always been creative, accommodating, non-judgmental, flexible and very insightful. I cannot recommend her and EAES enough. Super-nice office and overall atmosphere too.

I always enjoy my weekly sessions with Amanda Young at the Roanoke office! Amanda and I have had successful conversations and I have definitely met several of my personal goals too! Amanda is understanding, patient and helps to provide solutions for me. I couldn’t ask for a better counselor!

Heather has been a lifesaver! She got us in quickly when we called and we have the same time appointment every week! She does awesome work with my little one and he truly enjoys his weekly appointments with her! The waiting room is so inviting as well, its always decorated and they have snacks and water which is so important to my little one. He looks forward to having snack before his appointment! Heather also did virtual when the weather was bad to keep up the consistency!! Also in the waiting room they have these circles, they kinda stretch and are hard. Definitely sensory friendly and my little one grabs one every week!

Colorful, inviting decor
We love this practice for our family’s needs. What I would like to comment on today is the joy and happiness all of the color from the decor in the office space brings me with each visit. So many public spaces have been updating to more modern grey scale that to me is depressing. Thank you for sparking joy and serenity!

Love this practice! Life changing for me because they offer EMDR for PTSD, in addition to regular therapy appointments. Lana, my therapist, is a perfect match for me! She is unlike any of the many therapists I've had throughout my life. From the moment we met, I have felt comfortable sharing anything and everything to get myself on the right path to obtaining the healing I need. She is compassionate, not judgmental, organized and prioritizes our sessions depending on my current situation, dependable, goes above and beyond to help when I need it, and truly cares for my health and wellbeing. I love the doTerra essential oil products they offer and highly recommend them. If you are a veteran or former/current member of emergency services and suffer from PTSD (or for any reason), I highly recommend EAES. This is the place to go to feel comforted in a calm and inviting atmosphere.

Lana has been helping me to deal with my feelings of panic, anxiety, grief and other past painful experiences. She has a calming and reassuring presence and I feel comfortable in talking to her about my feelings. She is giving me the tools to help me get better. I look forward to my weekly visits with her.

A Life-Changing Experience — Truly Understanding My Anxiety
I wasn’t sure what to expect from hypnotherapy, but working with Lorraine Maughan in her 6-week class, Anxiety Less Life, was life-changing! Through Lorraine's guidance, I discovered that a specific childhood incident is when I learned to use anxiety to feel safe - a pattern that no longer serves me as an adult. Thanks to her personalized recordings and training, I’ve been able to shift my mindset. Lorraine is incredibly skilled and supportive. I highly recommend her class to anyone ready to move past anxiety for good!

This is what a therapist office should be, a place to go and feel welcomed and find ways to feel self care. I bring my daughter to weekly therapy sessions and I love 💕 bringing her and waiting because it means I get some time for self care in the massage chair and time for reflection on my week and goals. They have snacks and drinks in case you are hungry and fidgets, activities and books for the kids if you have younger children waiting. I feel like my daughter has found a place where she feels safe to discuss and work on her needs and I have found a place where I am pleased to partner with her therapist! I also have appreciated the groups parenting therapy sessions that they offer for free.
