I was referred to Dr. Kwak by my Beverly Hills doctors, Dr. Litner and Dr. Solieman at Profiles. I went to see Dr. Kwak at 6 months post-op from a primary rhinoplasty at Profiles because my results were looking poorly still bulbous and with unevenly stitched nostrils. My doctors recommended steroid injections, but I was hesitant to pay for a flight across the country for something that may be harmful so they agreed to pay for a consultation with Dr. Kwak in NYC. My meeting was brief, he asked me what my surgery entailed, and I told him my doctors were supposed to address my bulbous tip and bring in my nostrils for a refined look. He said that he prefers a more conservative approach and would not inject steroids as the cons heavily outweighed the pros. Dr. Kwak said my nose was healing well and that thicker skinned noses require 1.5 - 2.5 yrs to fully heal and show final results. He also confirmed my nostrils were in fact stitched unevenly, saying that is a consequence of surgery. I am now over two years post surgery, and my nose looks just as wide as it did at 6months. There have been no positive changes.
Although Dr. Kwak did not perform my surgery, he is associated with Profiles at Beverly Hills, who are unethical and unskilled doctors. Dr. Kwak gave me false hope that my nose would improve as time went on, but it hasn’t. Take a look for yourself. Attached is a side by side photo from 6mo post op when Dr. Kwak saw me and at 2yrs post op which are my final results. I will need to save up for a revision which will be more costly than a primary.
