My journey towards a travelling future became solid at Dave Allen Motors last week, under the guidance of Mark Counsell, Sales Consultant. The experience was one that left a bittersweet taste in my mouth I to say. 🥹 Mark was patient & overall pretty happy to answer my ongoing questions about the vehicle I ended up buying from them. All my questions were answered openly & with nothing obviously wrong. The after sales service was pretty good over a couple of minor issues BUT when I asked what had happened to the tow bar the van had before buying, I was told the vans never have those… But mine did. I remember thinking I’ll have to be careful of my legs with that & said I probably didn’t need it. This was a very big spend for me & I have to say I scared to do it. I had said how important it was for it to be able to get me up the hills in the South Island & only after I had bought it & taken it out of town did I find out it was totally gutless. Marks comment was well you’ve paid for it now, but let me see if we can do a deal & exchange it for another one. No way would I do that after being misled.

Awesome experience dealing with Dave Allen Motors. Had a more expensive version of the same car, never tried to upsell me and gave really good advice. Trade in value very fair and awesome to deal with. Only dealership in Hamilton with the variety and decent amount of station wagons also. Highly recommend.
