I attended the set time for my bike to be viewed for repair. But the mechanic would not let my 5month old bike into the store, he looked at it on the street then started talking about upgrading my tyres and brakes and lighting before he would even consider looking at the motor. This guy wasted my time, I have a motor problem that I don’t even know if it can be resolved. I will not be going back and will be telling others to avoid.

Chris, I understand you may feel I have wasted your time, however, you haven't been clear about the conditions of your "5 months old" ebike.
The bike 1000W mid-drive Bafang Conversion you bought from Pirez was poorly installed, posing a risk of crushing the rear brake hose and the gear cable between the frame down-tube and the motor. That was the main reason why I didn't accept your ebike in for repairs, because we would not only have to repair your motor, but re-route those cables or install a torque arm so that the 1000W motor will never ever come loose and crush the cables.
Moreover, your "5 months old" ebike has a worn/bald rear tyre, worn front and rear brake pads with small 160mm discs (for a 1000W it's completely unsafe and incompatible with the power rating), no lights connected to the main ebike battery (you're riding in the dark), no mudguards (mud on your face at high-speed is unsafe), handlebars and steering are loose, plus other things like tuning the gears, assessing the chain line and overall performance that couldn't be captured in my first eye assessment over your "5 months old" ebike.
As Cyberbikes have not built, sold, supplied or serviced your "5 months old" ebike ever before. We reserve our rights to do not accept your write-off ebike.
The mechanic you spoke with is a Mechanical Engineer with specialization in Automotive Engineering and 10 years of experience in E-bikes. You've paid $3800 for a rip-off ebike, you should have invested your money in our new Cyberbikes Centauro instead.

Bitting off more than I can chew.
Decided I'd service my ebike hub drive after watching instructions on YouTube.
Disassembled hub only to find one of the nylon cluster gears teeth worn down. Only thing to do. Find the parts on a Saturday
Found Phillipe in Cyberbikes and so helpfull. Long story short new set of gears, reassembled into wheel with very helpful instructions. We hope to see Phillipe at the Ashfield Bowlo soon
Owner Felipe is a master mechanic and electrical wizard/genius (so called God within the ebike world). My bike, 6 years and 16,000 kms old,, now, it's performance is the best it has ever been. -Felipe fixed what all other bike shops said was impossible. =My now GOTO ebike specialist for future enhancing pitstops. Certainly a winner 🏆 🥇 🏁.
