Looking for non-stop summer fun with friends and family, all you need is Current Watersports! This place is unbelievable! From sales to service, they are top-notch in customer service. When my family and I were just starting to look into purchasing our first boat, a family member recommended Matt S. from Current. The rest is history!
As a first-time boat purchaser, I didn't know what I needed or what I wanted. Matt was able to quickly navigate us through our options and get us to the model of Crest that would suit our family. If we had a question he couldn’t answer, he would quickly get us an answer. Phone, email, text – he is always quick to respond. Not only was Matt there for us through the sales portion of our Crest, he was the one that actually drove the boat to our lake for our hands-on training. My favorite story of Matt is when I asked him if there was a way to approximate the MPG on a boat. He just looked at me and said, “You don’t need to know that number. You just need to know how many smiles per hour!”
It is a 45-minute drive for us to get to Current. We have many boat dealerships closer to us, but we will always make the drive to Current for sales and service. The only problem is that we are already talking about our next boat ;)

If I could give this place six stars, I would. They truly set the standard for customer service. How?
1. July 4th, 2024 - we were having a problem with our boat. My wife said to call Current. I said 'they won't be open, it's July 4th'. I call and Bill H. answers the phone and we get our problem fixed.....I have had five different boats (not Mastercraft) over the years and dealt with many dealers, most very good; however, I know of no other dealer that would pickup a phone on July 4th.
2. We recently (spring 2025) bought a new boat from Current. Matt S. is hands down the best sales person I have ever dealt with.....not just boat sales person, ANY sales person. Because of the number of questions I had, the sales process took a long time. Matt was always patient and worked to provide the information I needed. I am confident Matt and the Current team will continue to support me as I own this boat.
Mastercraft makes great boats. They are not inexpensive; however, I believe they still provide excellent value for what you pay. Add the Current WS approach to customer service on top of that and I would not consider going anywhere else when looking for my next boat.

I stopped by the shop purely out of curiosity about 2.5 years ago, met Wade for the first time. He told me that what differentiates Mastercraft is their award winning dealer network and unmatched service. He wasn't kidding. After many, many unexpected drop ins, a few demo days, lots of phone calls, the team at current was never pushy or pressured me into a sale. They were patient and happily worked with me to get our family in the boat of our dreams. The experience has been top notch, from that first unexpected meeting several years ago to delivery day, and the weeks beyond. Great group of people to work with!! Highly recommend.

I can always count on Current Watersports. I dinged a prop this morning and called Current for help. Bill was waiting for me when I arrived at their place on Norris to switch out the prop. I arrived, got a new prop installed, and was back home in less than an hour. Amazing! We recently purchased a Crest tri-toon from Current Watersports in Knoxville. Crest is owned by Mastercraft and builds a high end boat. We love the quality and thoughtful features including the electronics which are fantastic. The Current WS staff are a terrific bunch of people to deal with. Our boat was located at the Current WS store in Cincinnati. Matt (sales in Cincinnati) handled our sale and is a remarkable young man. This is not our first boat nor is Current our first boat dealer. As long time experienced boat purchasers/owners, I cannot recommend them highly enough. The owners are very much "hands-on" and that shows in the level of service by all staff. If you want a top shelf boat buying experience go to Current Watersports.
I rarely take the time to write reviews, but Current Watersports has earned it. I find there to be a serious lack of overall service and professionalism these days, but Current is doing their part to bring it back. Everyone there that I’ve interacted with is great and treats you like family(family you actually like to clarify lol). They make it their mission to not only get you into a great boat, as Mastercrafts are the BEST, but maybe even more importantly, to ensure a great ongoing experience with your boat. Matt did a great job helping me decide which boat to buy, but I think what I appreciate most is the ongoing support. I’ve reached out to Matt a couple times post-sale for questions/advice on some of the operational stuff on the boat and he’s always been more than willing to help. I’ve had a couple minor issues with my boat and their service is just as exceptional as the sales team- the issues I’ve had have been easily resolved without even having to bring it in as they’ve walked me through how to diagnose issues myself. They also don’t try to nickel and dime you- if you’re a do-it-yourselfer they’re willing to walk you through the most efficient ways to perform service, winterization, etc. I did hit a large log once and messed the boat up and they were reasonable on the cost to fix it and went out of their way to get it ready quickly for my next trip. Overall, these are great people who are all boating enthusiasts themselves, and I believe they treat all of their customers like friends.
