we had an amazing stay with our 5 year old. we loved all the onsite activities, seeing the jets just added to the excitement, we even had a dip in the pool, fabulous, we didn't see much of the area as there was so much to do onsite so we will be coming back! great place for families , had everything we needed.
Beautiful stay the hosts had everything we could need or want. The cottage and gardens, games room, hot tub, golf course, and football field for the boys were all amazing. We can’t wait to come back! ❤️
Our stay for 3 nights was pleasant and extremely comfortable. As described if not better. The hot tub and extra towels were ideal after a full day of hiking. The cottage had everything you could need or wish for in a beautiful setting. 3 min drive to car parkfor Cadair Idris. 15 min drive to Dolgellau. Highly recommend The Royal Ship for food and drinks.Clear check in instructions and directions. Very responsive host. Thank you. We will return.
Lovely space for unwinding with plenty to do when the weather was bad. Kids loved (as did we) all the games and activities on the property. The log burners and underfloor heating were very welcome in wet Wales in February! The kitchen was the best equipped we have ever experienced in any AirBnB. Great location for the Mach loop, this was the initial reason I booked Katie's place, but the bad weather meant no planes flew. The multitude of activities softened the blow, especially the hot tub! Would highly recommend and looking forward to returning
Had a fantastic stay over Valentine’s Day. Was great to chill out and do nothing and this place had everything we needed for just that. We spent most our evenings in the hot tub and sitting around the log fire and then our days playing mini golf, pool, darts and ping pong. We might be pushing 30 but we felt 18 again!! The place is exactly as it’s described and is great value for money, yes it’s expensive but it’s not compared to other places with a hot tub and they don’t have the facilities or stunning interiors like this cottage. My other half was obsessed with the bath in the bedroom also!The location is nice and remote but has great nearby walks to waterfalls!
A very cosy cottage with lively valley views, well appointed with everything you could need for a stay in Snowdonia. The game’s room and hot tub were perfect ‘treats’ and we used them a lot when the weather wasn’t so kind for getting out and about. We will definitely return as we couldn’t fit in seeing everthing in the week!
We thoroughly enjoyed our week stay at Pen y Cwm. The cottage was as described. The road didn't bother us at all. Beds were comfy and clean. The cottage had charm and the facilities on site where fantastic. Our family enjoyed all that was to offer and what an added bonus to be on the Mach Loop!!! My boys were ecstatic catching a glimpse of the aircrafts passing! We loved exploring and felt our location was perfect for days out around mid Wales. Communication was great from the get go! A home from home and such a lovely gesture from the owners to donate to their chosen charity.
We had a fantastic holiday, the area was stunningly beautiful and we barely left the local area there was so much to do within 10 mile radius as well as all the fun activities on site. Everything is beautifully maintained and very clean hot tub and pool area. The beds are comfy, lovely well equipped kitchen and although we enjoyed great weather I feel it would be a lovely cosy place to return to and enjoy in winter too. Will definitely return.
We had a wonderful stay. Lovely cosy cottage and there is so much to do in the grounds. The children (and we) loved the games room on rainy days. The hot tub was also a real treat after a cold walk and crazy golf was the icing on the cake. Surrounded by beautiful countryside with great walks and also a short drive to the coast. Katie was really responsive and helpful. Easy five stars!
Our long-weekend stay was fantastic, with our two primary school aged children. Great location and facilities with everything you need.We did the Brithdir gorge walk from provided information folder, which was great.Would highly recommend a stay.

A charming accommodation! This was a lovely cottage, the owners have done a great job of mixing the original charm and features with modern and safe practicalities that make this place great for everyone even young families. We didn’t use all the facilities due to the time of year but the games room and hot tub were fantastic. Lots of Welsh beauty surrounding you in the shape of beaches and waterfalls and mountain walks! There was only one slight negative and we only mention it for transparency and that was that the cottage is placed close to a A road and some traffic noise is heard from the bedrooms, we adjusted very quickly and it didn’t impact our stay, we also appreciate there is not anything the owners can do about that. We will definitely recommend this place to others. Thank you!
Stayed here for my wifes 40th birthday after speaking to katie she had sorted out banners, balloons,flowers and fizz absolutely amazing. Our stay was amazing just what we was looking for quiet and peaceful we had our 7 year old daughter with us to and the games room and miniature golf went down a treat and loved walking the grounds. It was a real home from home feel had everything we needed. The hot tub lovely with the cold weather thanks for a grear stay and we will definitely be back.

What a lovely cottage! Really spacious and has everything you need. Comfy sofa's and beds, really warm inside (we had to turn heating down as we love having a fire!), great shower (although not much head room!) and the oven was lovely to cook on. Excellent instructions for arrival, the cottage was easy to find. The road is fairly busy but it didn't bother us at all. Some lovely walks in the area. Slightly disappointed that whilst the walk into Corris village was enjoyable it wasn't an option to pop to the pub in the evening for a few drinks as it would be a hard slog up the hill (and in the dark at this time of year!). But again, not a massive problem as we enjoyed the cottage, games room and hot tub enough so were more than happy staying in.Really wonderful holiday, thank you.
