Reported leak 27 Aug → no action for weeks → still waiting — unprofessional and slow I reported a leaking ceiling at my rental property to Brick Management and Lettings on 27 August 2026 through their official system. Water comes through the ceiling every time it rains — this is a clear maintenance and safety concern. What has happened since: No response or acknowledgement for weeks despite repeated phone calls that went unanswered They eventually emailed claiming difficulties contacting contractors First contact with a contractor only on 23 September 2026 — nearly a month after my original report Inspection is now scheduled for 9 October 2026 — well over FIVE WEEKS after I first reported the issue Throughout this entire period, the leak has remained unfixed. Every rainfall causes water to enter the property — risking ceiling damage, electrical hazards, damp, mould, and damage to my belongings. Under the Landlord and Tenant Act 1985, repairs like this should be addressed promptly. Taking over five weeks just to get someone to attend is completely unacceptable and shows poor organisation, communication, and total disregard for tenant welfare. I should not have had to chase repeatedly and wait this long for an urgent issue to be acknowledged and scheduled. If you value responsiveness and proper property maintenance, think carefully before dealing with this agency.

I had the pleasure of meeting Katherine who helped us with a viewing at Melbourne Studios. She was lovely and personable- explaining everything in detail. She also gave us the relevant information and helped with the booking. Due to circumstances, the booking could not go through due to no fault of Katherine or Brick, as a result I was no longer renting with Melbourne studios. But she was absolutely lovely in liasing on my behalf with Melbourne Studios and helped me get my holding fee back- (this was an exceptional situation and not the norm). I was impressed with how professional and reassuring she was of my situation despite me choosing to not go ahead with the booking. This is the true test of a good business and its employees- when they are professional and help you even when you will no longer require their services. Recommend!
