Disappointing experience and unclear pricing I recently booked my VW Transporter in for a diagnostic check because the heating and air conditioning were not working correctly. The blower motors were functioning, but there was no change in temperature. The company advertises a £99 diagnostic service on the basis that the charge will be deducted from the repair bill if you go ahead with the recommended work. This seemed fair and was one of the reasons I chose them. After the inspection, I was advised that an initial repair would cost over £700, including 2.5 hours of labour. However, I was also told that this repair might not resolve the issue and that further work could be required, potentially costing significantly more. When I requested a copy of the quotation, I noticed the £99 diagnostic charge was still included. I queried this and was told by the service centre manager that the charge could be removed, but an additional hour of labour would then be added to the repair cost. This left me feeling that the advertised diagnostic deduction was somewhat misleading, as it appeared the charge would simply be recovered elsewhere. The manager's attitude when I raised this concern was disappointing and came across as dismissive rather than helpful. On a positive note, the member of staff who dealt with me when booking the van in and when I collected it was professional, polite and courteous throughout. Unfortunately, I didn't get their name, but they provided excellent customer service. Ultimately, I chose not to proceed with the repair due to the inconclusive diagnosis and concerns over the transparency of the pricing structure. I would encourage the business to make it much clearer how the diagnostic charge is applied when customers proceed with repairs. Would not recommend based on my experience with the quoting process and pricing transparency.

Excellent I’ve used Grosvenor 3 times now with two different BMW 5 series. They have always been helpful and the prices are far lower than the Reading BMW dealer. The service is also so much better and they have always offered honest advice. The service reception staff are all great.

Following contact from Grosvenor after my original review, and having now seen the video they took of my car where they checked for the vibration fault with the brakes, I have revised my earlier feedback. I am still not happy with my overall experience but accept that the tyre condition may have impacted the ability to diagnose the original fault. In future it would be better if the company advises that it can’t complete a test drive to properly diagnose a fault, before making recommendations as to what may have to be replaced / repaired.

Having owned a number of BMW's this was only my second visit to Grosvenor. My initial issue was to clear a blocked windscreen washer. Whilst removing the reservoir they discovered another issue that needed attention. One of the service team called me and explained the situation. There was no pressure to have the work done. However to have it done at tge same time made sense from a safety angle and also made sense from a financial aspect. The whole procedure was finished the same afternoon and I was able to drive away safely. Friendly and knowledgeable staff will bring me back in future.

Wow! What a team.! I found this company through Google search. Ashley at Reception booked my car in quite quickly and Barry diagnosed the issue. Getting hold of the required part was an issue with BMW but once the part was obtained, Ashley fitted me into his tight schedule and resolved the problem. Whilst they had my car they also sorted out another couple of issues at a very reasonable price. Very gratefull to them for their assistance. Will definitely be comming back here despite it being a bit of a journey from home.

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ 10/10 service from Grosvenor Garage! The customer service was absolutely lovely, and the work was very professional from start to finish. The guys at the desk were extremely friendly, helpful and welcoming. They kept me updated throughout the whole process, and while carrying out the service, the mechanic discovered another issue with my car. They called me straight away, explained the problem, and gave me an estimated price for the repair before doing any additional work. They managed to fix everything on the same day, which was fantastic. They also have a comfortable waiting area with Wi-Fi, which made the wait much easier. Really impressed with the whole experience, from the friendly staff and great communication to the quality of the work. Highly recommended! 10/10. 👌

Grosvenor were the only place I could find who could fix an annoying fault with the computer on my Mini without replacing the whole unit for a lot of notes! The team at Grosvenor have been extremely helpful since I started my BMW journey. After buying one secondhand several months earlier and having some issues, they have worked on it on several occasions to ensure the car was at its best. The staff are always friendly, helpful and willing to explain clearly any issues with your car. After being recommended Grosvenor by a friend, I too can now recommend them to anyone!
