Misleading terms, paid for vacation, but wasnt told about meeting there credit score. I was judged
Unclear policies and misleading terms. After paying $179, we were informed that eligibility depended on our credit score. This critical detail should have been disclosed upfront, not after payment. It feels like false advertising and left us feeling frustrated and misled.

Great - but training could improve
Pros:Flexible schedule unless extremely busy. Cons:Competitive with senior employees sometimes.
Not worth the headache
Pros:The people you meet are great! Cons:Management, specifically upper management is not great. Company seems to only care about money and not their clients or employees
Our experience with Bluegreen has been nothing but regret and stress since we purchased a timeshare in November 2019. During the presentation, we felt pressured into a decision we werent ready to make. We were sold on the dream of frequent travel but werent given clear guidance on how to use the timeshare or the full financial implications, especially the rising annual maintenance ******* the time, we were unmarried, had few financial responsibilities, and hoped to travel often. Life has since changedwe got married, bought a small farm, and now have two young children. Our busy schedules and finances make using the timeshare impossible, and figuring out how to use it is far too complicated. Four years later, weve never used it once, yet were continually burdened by escalating maintenance fees that have become unmanageable. The lack of transparency from Bluegreens representatives worsened our situation. Key names include ****** ******* (Sales Representative), ****** ****** (Inventory Specialist), and **** ********* ****************** Specialist) from the initial purchase, and ******* ******** and ****** **** from a later upgrade through the Utah office. Their misleading sales tactics left us stuck with something we didnt need. This timeshare has caused significant financial strain and immense stress on our family. We deeply regret this purchase and strongly advise others to avoid Bluegreen entirely. If we could go back, wed walk away without hesitation. We want out!
Bluegreen Vacations will take advantage of you! ** NOT sign any contracts with them! They used lies and deceitful sales tactics to coerce me into signing a contract with them. I attended a presentation in ********, ** with 3 friends that I brought along for the mini vacation they offered us. The presentation started with a salesman lying to everyone! He said we would not be buying a specific week in a specific location. He said that was the old timeshares. He claimed that as a member of their Vacation Club, you purchase points and then spend them like cash to book your accommodations. Actually, I found out later that I did buy a specific week at a specific resort. Because everything is a lie! They also don't tell you that the program also has "tiers" or "levels". Each level costs more and the more you pay the farther out you can book your accommodations. If you purchase the smallest amount of points for $16,000!!! you get the last pick of the resorts and hotels. What is left are the lower quality rooms and the months with the worst weather conditions. They spoke about a "buy back" program as if it would be an easy way out if you changed your mind. It doesn't really exist!I could go on and on about how terrible the program is and how I was led to believe that this club would allow me grandiose accommodations for my future vacations, just to find out it is not at all possible.I am now burdened with this financial obligation that holds no value for me!!Again, please DO NOT sign anything!!! RUN!!
Subject: Request for Assistance in Canceling Timeshare Dear Better Business Bureau,Im reaching out to ask for your help with an issue weve been having with Bluegreen Weve run into several problems with the timeshare that have made it impossible to stick with the agreement, and even though weve contacted the company multiple times, they havent offered a solution. When purchasing the timeshare, we were misled by Bluegreens representatives about the benefits and value we would receive. Specifically, we were promised at least one week per year at our home resort, but we have been consistently unable to book it. Additionally, the prices for the service are excessively high, and maintenance fees keep increasing. For a product we cannot even utilize, this is deeply frustrating and financially burdensome. The promises made during the sales process remain unfulfilled, and we feel that we were taken advantage of.We have already made numerous attempts to resolve this directly with Bluegreen, including sending multiple letters requesting cancellation. Unfortunately, the company has been unresponsive and unwilling to work with us to find a fair resolution. We are asking for your intervention to assist in canceling this timeshare contract and relieving us of this financial and emotional burden. We believe this has been an unfair and misleading transaction and feel that with your help, we may finally be able to reach a resolution. We hope you will assist us in resolving this matter quickly.Sincerely,******* and ****** *******
They claim they are not high pressure sales, but they are. If you ask for time to think about it, they get belligerent, and demanding. You have to sign up on the spot, or they won't let you come back. It's a real estate agreement, and they won't let you review it prior to signing it, much less have an attorney review it. IT'S A TOTAL ****!!! STAY AWAY!
We have been in a continuous cycle of misinformation and financial pressure since purchasing points back in 2012. We have been lied to throughout the years. Sales staff from Bluegreen have repeatedly misrepresented the value of our points and misled us about selling them at a profit with Pinnacle. I have never experienced such low-class deceit in all my years. Sales experience with these people has been nothing more than aggressive, deceiving and emotionally manipulating. Bluegreen will not disclose to you the hidden fees and what they verbally say is never what is contained in the contract. Unfortunately, we are stuck now with a worthless product. Had we just saved for planned vacations, it would be a lot cheaper than the money we spent on something that we can never reserve or book when we would prefer. Do not waste your time and money on Bluegreen. It simply isn’t worth the headache.
Leadership Integrity
Pros:Uncapped commissions Reasonable hours Good benefits Cons:Managers and senior leadership lack business ethics Dishonest business practices condoned and encouraged High turnover Advice to Management:Figure out leadershipthat is only interested in their own job preservation instead of keeping the best employees from quitting
Great Company and Benefits
Pros:Great benefits package, great coworkers, pay is acceptable Cons:lots of red tape, resorts need improvements
As elderly retirees (72 & 73) living on a fixed income, including myself as a disabled veteran, we were deeply disappointed by our experience with Blue Green Vacations. What was advertised as a 90-minute timeshare presentation turned into a grueling 4-5 hour ordeal. Despite my medical history including recent open-heart surgery, the sales team kept us through meal times and showed little regard for our well-being while employing aggressive sales tactics. The presentation was filled with misrepresentations about availability, booking processes, and investment value. We were rushed through signing without adequate time to review the contract details, only to discover numerous undisclosed terms including a perpetuity clause and inheritance of maintenance fees by our heirs. After investing nearly $50,000, we've found it impossible to book stays as promised, with properties perpetually "fully booked" and an unusable online booking system. The company's deceptive practices have caused significant financial hardship during our retirement years, and we strongly caution other seniors about their predatory sales tactics targeting vulnerable individuals. Please be careful if you are going to give them your business!

Not worth it
Pros:there are no real pros of working for this company. Cons:Don't allow you to travel to any of the locations they offer. Pay isn't great. management isn't helpful. They actually stress you out more. They are't honest. It's a commission based job and yet in seasons when people don't come in, they still expect you to make sales.
It's a time share call center
They like to act like you aren't bait and switching people to sit through a high pressure sales situation for a cheap hotel room but that's exactly what you're doing.
My wife and I were coerced into a timeshare with Bluegreen/Hilton and it has been an absolutely awful experience. I’m a retired United States Marine Corps veteran and I have put 13 years into serving this country, only to be taken advantage of by a big-name corporation like Hilton. I received a call offering a free three-day vacation in Charleston, SC. Upon arrival they took our drivers' licenses, so we were unable to leave without their approval. It was supposed to be 90 minutes but turned into a five-and-a-half-hour ordeal, getting systematically ambushed by four different salespeople. We had no intention of purchasing but we were subjected to intense psychological pressure, including emotional manipulation using our family. The sales representatives used our children as leverage, suggesting this would be a valuable asset to pass down to them. We reluctantly purchased and boy was that a mistake. Since the purchase, there’s been nothing but issues. They opened a credit card that we never authorized, they told us if we were unhappy we could use their "buyback program" which doesn’t even exist, and they have charged us fees upon fees. They told us we could redeem a coupon for 6 months' worth of maintenance fees and when we went to use it, they said it had already been cashed!! This is just a never-ending nightmare and I hope this review stops other people from making the same mistakes we did.

If you want to be you’re own boss work here
Decent pay and honesty fun if you like speaking with others. Short hours and commission is only $20-$25 per sale. Decent work environment and you work inside of bass pro.
I suspect that Hilton Grand Vacations will come to regret their purchase of Bluegreen Resorts. My experience with Bluegreen started when we were in Reno at a Cabela's Store. There was a booth set up in the middle of the store to catch people walking through. My boyfriend first encountered the pushy Bluegreen reps about being able to go on this great vacation to Arizona, free of cost. When they caught up with me, they showed me all these desirable vacations we would be able to go on for no cost if we signed up. We ended up buying the voucher and traveled to Arizona for the trip and sales meeting, however we were not given the fabulous accommodation they showed us in the brochure. Rather, they put us up in a standard hotel that was 30 minutes away. I was told the sales meeting was to only take 2 hours but ours ended up being 5. Had the check-in rep not taken my driver’s license, I may not have stayed for 5 hours and gotten roped into this purchase. The sales rep was very pushy in all that she and Bluegreen were offering if we were to become members. She pushed and pushed and finally I wanted to see rates, pricing, benefits, etc. Reflecting on the closing of my purchase, I recall being rushed through everything. Just a “sign here, sign there” process while the loan officer made small talk and congratulated me on my investment. What I’ve come to realize is this was a distraction to keep my focus off the financial aspect of this purchase. The loan terms were completely glossed over; I was aware that the interest rate was high, but what was not disclosed was the enormous finance charge of more than $15,000 which effectively doubled what I agreed to pay. I find this to be a sneaky way to bilk consumers for more money than they are willing to pay. I regret ever walking into Cabela’s.
My mother-in-law had bought into this and it has been a nightmare. They are predatory lying extortionists. They are now sending bills with threats to dead people, while not answering the phone for any reason, and eventually pretending not to hear you on the phone after the initial 'two minute wait on hold' turns into over an hour, then hanging up saying 'non-responsive call' after they accidentally gender your voice that they can clearly hear.
