I live in the Fraser Valley, I purchased my 9.9 Mercury Pro kicker and had a remote steering system installed at Alberni Power and Marine. The staff was more than helpful and knowledgeable. My boat was powered with a 70 HP Yamaha, the boat is rated for a 90 HP. I just had the boat re-powered with a 90 HP Mercury. Again the staff went above and beyond from Nick in sales to Dave and the techs in Service. Would definitely recommend using them for any of your boating needs whether for servicing or upgrading your power. Thank you for making both the purchase of the kicker and the re-power seamless. I tested the boat out after having the 90 hp Mercury installed it performed well with 2 people in it but would not come out of the hole shot and on to plane with 3 or 4 people on board. I contacted the Service department and Devan and I worked out a plan to test a different pitch propeller we went from a 15 to a 13 pitch and the performance was where it should be the max RPM increased and the boat performed as it should. I would like to thank Devan and the team for their rapid response and willingness to work with me to resolve the issue. Great customer service as always!

Recently got my Boat repowered at APM , with both the main & the kicker motors. The sales staff were very helpful in assisting me with my decision making process with my needs and got the best price in the market. I ventured off the mainland for their knowledge and experience, and will continue working with them in the future for all my needs. I had a breakdown this past summer with my old motor and when no one else would come to my rescue, they were there with a truck & trailer to pick me up in French Creek, tow me back to the shop in Port Alberni fix my issue and re launch me the following day. Just loving the 9.9 hp outboard I bought there a few days ago.
Salesman Nick is a prince of a guy, who treated me as if I purchased a $300k unit.
Had the motor run up for me before I arrived and spent ample time giving me tips and advice on the motor’s operation.
He even provided me with great insight as to where I could get a great burger since I’m from out of town. Now that’s what you call full service!
