A very beautiful trip with Gayan! We spent 15 days in Sri Lanka with Gayan as our driver, and we have very fond memories of this experience! Throughout the trip, Gayan was extremely kind, always available, and attentive. He knew how to adapt to our pace and our schedule, which allowed us to fully enjoy our trip without having to worry about organizing travel. The vehicle was very comfortable and his driving was particularly pleasant and safe. The trips were never a burden, quite the contrary, they were real moments of rest between our various visits. Beyond driving, Gayan was a true guide throughout our stay. He shared his knowledge of Sri Lanka, its culture, and its traditions with us, while helping us discover places we would not necessarily have thought of on our own. A small piece of advice, however, for future travelers: even if his recommendations are often interesting, we advise you to also take the time to check reviews on Google Maps before certain visits or activities. The tastes and expectations of locals do not always correspond to those of tourists, and some experiences may be appreciated differently. This remains a detail considering the entire stay, which was a very beautiful experience. We recommend this team without hesitation, and especially Gayan, for his kindness, his availability, his professionalism, and all the discoveries he allowed us to make. We have just returned from an incredible holiday across Sri Lanka organised through Ruhiru Travel, and we cannot recommend them enough. A huge part of what made our trip so special was our driver, Hasa. We covered a wide variety of destinations and landscapes—from snorkelling with Reef Sharks and Sea Turtles, relaxing on the beach at Nilaveli and climbing Sigiriya rock, up into the tea country to catch the scenic train from Nanu Oya to Ella, then across to the wild landscapes of Wilpattu before finishing up in Negombo. Hasa’s driving throughout was exceptionally safe, smooth, and calm, which gave us complete peace of mind on every leg of the journey. His knowledge of the country was oustanding and he provided excellent recommendations at every destination. His advice ensured we got to see 'The Elephant Gathering' despite many safari tours around Minneriya and Kaudulla not having the elephants visit that day. Hasa's quick thinking and local contacts told us they were gathered at a smaller National Park and so we changed our plans on the fly. The vehicle was spotless, comfortable, and well air-conditioned every single day. The logistics were also handled seamlessly - especially dropping us off at Nanu Oya for the train and meeting us at the other end in Ella with all our luggage sorted without a hitch. This was especially important as we got engaged on the train! (Hasa was in on my plan and ensured it was as special as I'd hoped it would be). We had an amazing party in Ella at his friends restaurant (Crefal's) when we arrived in Ella. Beyond being thoroughly professional, Hasa was always friendly, punctual, and full of brilliant local advice - all with a smile and a really great sense of humour. Rundum zufrieden We spent 3 days in Sri Lanka and wanted to see as much as possible. Sanju is a very good and careful driver, reliable, very knowledgeabley and really friendly. Sri Lanka Dream Tour for your dream your! From 26 August until 4 September my mom, sister and myself from South Africa did a wonderful tour with Upul. He nicknamed my 82, year old mom 'big m'am' and was always checking on her. Upul was very informative, took us to local places we wouldn't have known about, helped us to try certain fruits and foods. Making dreams happen! Our family have just completed an amazing 10 day tour with Prasad. He is reliable, knowledgeable and a very safe driver. We had planned most of our itinerary, but he quickly learned our interests and made several excellent suggestions that we loved and they really enhanced our holiday. His suggestions included a great cooking class in Ella, white water rafting - which was great fun, a huge local fruit and veg market, a stunning Hindu temple, restaurants etc. At the Temple of the Tooth Ceremony in Kandy we would have been lost without him! He knew exactly where to stand and where to go at every step so we had the full experience. He also took lovely photos of us all so we didn’t have to take family selfies! The hidden gems and local knowledge of our driver and guide Thesin made our tour very special. He knew the best times to visit certain places to avoid crowds and very hot or wet weather. Honeymoon trip We highly recommend the services of the driver, Roshan! We used his services for a week and a half and were very pleased. It was a very convenient option, and the driver was highly professional. He arranged all kinds of activities for us, but was also happy to accommodate us when we wanted to rest; the itinerary was entirely up to us. He took us to a great mix of paid and free attractions—without Roshan, we likely wouldn't have seen nearly as much. On another note, we unfortunately had an unpleasant incident—we don't know who did it or where it happened, but we were robbed—so a word of warning to other tourists: keep a close eye on your belongings. I think we would use this agency's services again. The boss himself also constantly checked in to make sure everything was okay and stayed in touch with us. Thank you!

Amazing family trip Priyantha (owner of Tour Buddy) was our driver for 3 weeks in August, in which time we covered a lot of ground. We were a family of 4 including 2 teens. From the moment he picked us up in Negombo he was helpful, considerate, and really helped us to get the most out of our trip. His English is very good which made communication easy. He was always on time, flexible with changes to plans, made suggestions and was also open to our suggestions – we’re used to travelling independently and tend to do self-drive. His driving skills are superb – calm, considerate to others and able to navigate all types of roads 😊 We travelled in his mini van, which was exactly as shown in the photos he’d shared, and had plenty of space for us and our luggage. He takes real pride in his vehicle and it was always clean and well maintained – the inside was cleaned every day and spotless. In addition he always had an umbrella or sarong on hand if needed. Priyantha enjoys wildlife and nature and would often point out both birds and animals that he was able to spot whilst driving, and that otherwise we’d probably have missed. He also has a number of wildlife books in the minivan to help us identify them which was great. We saw kingfishers, a cobra, mongoose, bats, and many different birds whilst we were on the road. It was great to learn more about the country, the people, and the culture through Priyantha as he would explain things that we saw or experienced. With him we also experienced local tea stops, short eats, curd and king coconuts and helped us to understand more about each than we would have done if we’d been by ourselves. When we had a tricky situation with wasps at a hotel and needed to move to another one, Priyantha was there to help. It was evening and many hotels were closed, but he spoke to the owner, helped us find somewhere else, moved all our luggage, and checked that everything was ok. On our first night, after a long drive, we were going to get a tuk tuk back to the hotel after dinner, but noticing that there weren’t many around he’d arranged for the restaurant to message him when we were finished (unbeknown to us!) and he came and picked us up – amazing! He also helped to arrange an elephant safari to Kaudulla national park which was superb. During our trip we travelled from Negombo, to Wellawaya, Haputale, Ella, Arugam Bay, Kalkudah, Polonnaruwa, Sigiriya, Kandya, Kitulgala, Udawalawa, Kiralawelkatuwa, Tangelle and finally finishing in Colombo. We had to make a small alteration to our plans whilst there due to flooding and again Priyantha’s local knowledge was really valuable in understanding the risks, which areas to avoid and how to adapt our route. We would strongly recommend Priyantha. Sri Lanka is an amazing country and travelling with Priyantha we were able to get so much out of our trip, and enjoy an incredible experience.

Sanju Travels – Best driver in Sri Lanka We just finished a 16-day tour of Sri Lanka with Sanju and cannot recommend him highly enough. From the moment we landed at Colombo airport until our drop-off before the flight home, everything ran smoothly. Sanju was always on time, extremely well organized, and drove safely on every road — including the challenging mountain routes to Ella and the long East Coast stretches. His English is excellent, communication via WhatsApp was easy from day one. Beyond driving, he made the trip better in ways we didn’t expect. He arranged our Minneriya Safari with a private jeep and driver so we could skip all queues. He recommended fantastic restaurants everywhere. During every drive between destinations he suggested interesting stops and activities along the way, turning ordinary transfers into memorable experiences. He even helped us get a refund from a hotel, and covered small entrance fees when we didn’t have cash on us — trusting us to pay back later. Sri Lanka 15 days tour We had Upul as a driver and we had a very great experience. First of all he speaks english which is fundamental there! He is a good driver, very professional, always on time and very patient, as he accomodated us in all our request (i.e. stop for espresso twice a day 😂).
