Vpp told us we qualified for a home battery system. They told us they were expanding into DFW and constructing a new office in grapevine tx. Then the engineer told me we would only be profitable if we added solar to our house. We do not want a company to own the solar panels on my roof. He told me we were not profitable without solar. After reaching back out they again said they could do it without solar. Set a new appointment with an engineer. Then they texted me back and said no. My father also tried to get the battery installed but David said they were pulling out of this area completely. They have ghosted after requesting to speak to a supervisor. Be very careful with this company as they don’t want to give you specific details when asked about how to end service they beat around the bush. Bait and switch is very dishonest.

We wish that you were more clear with this review, though. You responded to our customer support Tuesday after business hours at 7pm and asked to speak with a manager. A manager got back with you the morning of the very next day, Wednesday at 11am. But unfortunately you waited only 1 business hour for a response before you left this one star review and accused us of “ghosting” you.

We’re proud to have helped tons of homeowners with our battery only options! Unfortunately, when you reached out federal policy had recently changed to where we can now no longer help homeowners in Dallas specifically with battery only. This is not “bait and switch” as you call it. You’re welcome to Google the IRS policy change and see for yourself. We are still able to help homeowners in Dallas, though! At this time we just will pair the batteries with a small solar system to extend the life of the battery during extended outages. This does not have to do with “not enough profit” as your review says. It is simply because Dallas was recently recategorized and is currently no longer what’s called an “energy community”.

We work very hard to give all our customers a great experience. Congratulations on beginning your search on affordable battery backup and cheaper, sustainable electricity. You’re making a great decision!
