I called Steve to repair my ac unit. I received a prompt return call. Steve kept us updated while we were waiting for a part. The distributor made and error with the part and Steve was able to get the distributor to make it right. I would recommend American HVAC for any need, service or install.
We recently had a new furnace and AC unit installed by American HVAC, and I couldn’t be more pleased with the experience. Steve was fantastic to work with—he gave us the best price by far and delivered outstanding service from start to finish.
The installation was completed in under two days, which was impressive, and everything was done professionally and efficiently. Steve and his team were respectful, knowledgeable, and made the whole process smooth and stress-free.
We truly enjoyed having them do the work in our home, and I would highly recommend American HVAC and Steve to anyone needing HVAC services.
Steve installed a new furnace and AC at our rental property. Professional work, fair pricing, and he handled the warranty registration himself so we didn't have to deal with it. Communication was great throughout, was upfront about what to expect and followed through on everything. Would definitely use American HVAC again.
I had a really good experience with American HVAC. The entire process was smooth, and they were easy to work with from start to finish. What stood out most was how friendly and professional their employees were. Everyone I interacted with was courteous, helpful, and made sure all my questions were answered. It’s clear they value good customer service and take pride in their work. On top of that, their pricing is hard to compete with. It’s not always easy to find a company that offers both great service and affordable rates, but they really deliver on both!
Steve at American HVAC was great to work with for my HVAC installation! He was by far much more competitive than anyone else I contacted saving me a lot of money, and the quality of work was excellent. He was honest, professional, and handled the entire installation. If you want expert service without the massive markup of the big companies, call Steve.
Great service! I left a voicemail late at night and first thing in the morning Steve called me back. 1/2 hour later he was at my door and within a few minutes he spotted the problem. He was able to get the inducer motor running again and gave a detailed description of current and potential issues. No sales pressure. Very professional. I was referred to him by a trusted friend and I am glad I called Steve. He is professional, honest and trustworthy. My house is warm again, yay!
I’ve had a great experience with American HVAC and Steve. He’s extremely knowledgeable and has now replaced two furnaces at my rental properties, both done professionally and efficiently. His prices are the best I’ve found, and he can complete a full HVAC system (heater and A/C) in a single day.
When the A/C went out at one of my rentals, he was there within a few hours and set up a temporary solution until he could return a few days later to replace the system. That meant a lot to my tenants and to me as an owner.
Steve is very responsive, always answers his phone, shows up on time, and meets his deadlines. His final charges matched his bid prices exactly—no surprises. I highly recommend American HVAC if you want fair pricing and reliable service.
Extremely knowledgeable- I deal with dozens of commercial HVAC technicians a week and very few could hold a candle to John. He was patient with a fairly unique situation we had with our unit and didn’t give up when the going got tough. More than reasonable rates and extraordinary service. Would recommend 10/10 times. Thank you, John.
h. m;/bn. m/bn.m Steve was so helpful. He talked us through each step and was mindful of expense and safety both. Very honest and very experienced. I would recommend.

Thanks Katherine for recommending us. It was great to get to know what your needs were. I am glad we could meet your expectations.
Awful ! Be aware, Avoid this company at all cost! Do not trust them, their fees and services are extremely higher than others and the owner Steve is dishonest, when they fixed the heating they gave me a wrong diagnosis and broke some parts, than charged me for what he broke and after 2 days it got broke again, they fix one thing and break others so you need to keep paying every month, DO NOT TRUST THIS COMPANY, READ THE BAD REVIEWS, DO NOT TRUST THE GOOD REVIEWS IT'S ALL FAKE, THIS COMPANY IS AWFUL AND SCREWED ME OVER. BE AWARE, AVOID STEVE AND HIS COMPANY AT ALL COST!

Brianna, We are in Orem, Utah and we do not do business in Florida. You must have the wrong company. We strive to offer the best price and quality to our customers. I hope you find the right company!
Bought York AC and Furnace from American HVAC four years ago. Had issues last summer with both due to airflow issues not addressed during install or bid. After telling Steve our AC stopped he told us to call another contractor to get warranty work done as he was just to busy. At least York customer service covered the cost of condenser replacement and blower relay but we still had to pay over 1k in labor.
Update: Just paid another 500+ in labor to replace TXV. I didn't even waste my time calling Steve. The valve was covered under warranty but I had to cover labor. At this point I will cut my losses on this system when the warranty is up and have a reputable company install a new system properly.
These issues are the result of being sold a unit too large for our ducting. We had a good run of 15 years trouble free with the contractor grade equipment. This "Cadillac" Steve stuck us with has been nothing but problems.

The unit is bigger than the unit replaced, this is the issue. Your implying I asked for a smaller unit than the original, I did not. The unit you sold me/installed is the wrong size and has struggled because of this. I'm sure it's probably just a unit you had laying around or got at discount. The house and duct size should be part of the equation for sizing. Yes there is some miles between us but shame on you for selling to an area you won't service without saying as much. You honored no warranty work install or equipment. You may want to remove that statement from your sales pitch or risk more upset customers. Yes I'm still angry it was a big purchase.

Morgan, I'm truly sorry for your experience... To be fair: When you called me, I suggested that you call a "Local-Coleman-Dealer" as we are located 90 miles [Roy} outside our locality, and being that its now 4 years beyond the installation date, and 3 years outside labor warranty guidelines... Further, if we had installed a smaller system on your home [as is often suggested], that would have been another-contrary-problem in relation to the systems capacity... As well, it should be understood that almost all customers are resistant towards installing smaller equipment than whats prior installed... Obviously, we cannot be expected to cover issues related to the construction of your home or existing ducting located within the confines of your homes structure... Modern heating & cooling equipment does require periodic seasonal maintenance and occasional repair-work. I know these issues can be costly and insulting. We do honor all of our customers diagnostic labor and repair warranties... As well, we are always motivated towards discussing avenues that may alleviate distress and costs related to rare unfortunate circumstances... It should be said that that you hired [American HVAC] located 90 miles outside your locality on account of our near Unbeatable prices, as well as our on-going review-documentations being one of the highest rated residential HVAC companies along the Wasatch front, I regret not being able to drive 90/minutes outside my locality to address this problem for you at no cost to you, and being 4 years down the line, 3 years out-side the stated warranty time-lines... I'm sorry for your experience, I hope that the majority of these reviews can show that this kind of thing is an inevitable rarity, not the commonality.
Steve from American HVAC picked up my initial phone call to his company on the first ring. He personally visited my home on the same day and was able to schedule a furnace replacement during the same week. Steve was onsite during the course of work assuring us that everything we progressing well. We were very impressed with the process.

Thank You George. That is what we strive to do!
I had Steve help me with the installation of a 4-zone heat pump. He did the line hide and Brett ran the refrigerant lines and performed the startup procedure.
Steve was awesome about keeping me in the loop. At one point, due to circumstances beyond his control, he had to reschedule. He contacted me well in advance to explain the situation and then followed up twice to confirm the rescheduled date. He took particular care to make sure all parties were on the same page at all times. I really appreciated this.
The actual work was less than was quoted and Steve made the adjustment without trying to inflate the hours or work performed. I look forward to working with Steve in the future.

Del, Great picture! Glad we could help!
5 STARS - Steve Short is the owner/installer and I can't say enough good things about him. Steve came and looked at my 30 year old heating/air system and advised and quoted me on a new system. His quote was affordable and fair. There was no pressure or up-sale. Steve removed the old system and installed a new furnace and A/C system. The final bill was exactly what he quoted me. Steve is a true professional and craftsman. He did a perfect job. I'm grateful for his time and expertise.
