I’ve visited this Brazilian salon twice. It has excellent facilities, very comfortable washbasins, and attentive staff. On my first visit, John did a wonderful blow-dry. I loved both his service and the result.
For my second visit, the team was very quick to arrange appointments for me and a friend I had recommended the salon to, allowing us to be seen at the same time. We each booked two services for an event: makeup and hair styling. For my naturally wavy hair, I chose a styling technique to define my waves.
We liked our makeup, but one detail I had specifically requested was missed: mascara on my lower lashes. I applied it myself when I got home, but considering the price, I expected more attention to my request.
The wave definition fell below my expectations. My boyfriend even commented that my hair looks better when I style it myself at home. I’m not sure whether this was due to the technique or the products used. The salon used Wella, while I use Kérastase at home and usually get better results with my waves. Nevertheless, the services met our needs for the occasion.
What really disappointed both of us was the situation with the coffee. When my friend asked for a second cup, we were told it would cost $7. This surprised us and made us feel uncomfortable, leaving a negative impression, especially since we had each booked two services and spent over $600 between us that day.
I understand that the salon may have a policy on charging for coffee, but I believe it should be clearly communicated. Given the amount we spent on services, we expected a second cup to be offered as a courtesy.
Despite the salon’s positive aspects, I left feeling disappointed. I hope the owner reconsiders this policy and recognises how small gestures of hospitality can make a difference to the client experience.

You seemed very happy when leaving and took photos afterwards, so we hadn’t realised you were disappointed with your styling.
Our owner has tried to contact you to discuss your experience but hasn’t been able to reach you. She called from her personal phone, so any missed calls from a number ending in 020 were from her.
We apologise for overlooking your request for mascara on your lower lashes. Had you mentioned it before leaving, we would have happily added it straight away.
Each client receives one complimentary hot drink, such as coffee, cappucino or tea, and one glass of sparkling wine or champagne per appointment. We feel that two complimentary drinks are a generous offering for a two-hour appointment.
Additional drinks cost $7 each, as stated on our drinks menu and at the bar counter. Providing this service also involves licensing and operating costs. However, we’re sorry the additional charge wasn’t clearly explained before you ordered.

I absolutely love Unique Beauty & Style. I’ve been to many salons over the years, and the quality of their work is genuinely on another level. Their keratin treatment is honestly perfect, and the whole team is incredibly experienced and talented. I’ve known them for a long time, and there’s a reason I keep coming back. I completely trust them with my hair, and the quality of their work is consistently exceptional.
Dandara is simply amazing. She is extremely talented, knowledgeable and genuinely one of the best at what she does. She is also clearly a great leader because you can see that same level of care and professionalism throughout her entire team. Every hairdresser at Unique is amazing, and there is such a high standard across the whole salon.
They definitely have that Brazilian touch when it comes to beauty, and if you know Brazilian beauty culture, you know the standards are high. They pay attention to the smallest details and know exactly how to make your hair look and feel beautiful. They are also fantastic with eyebrows.
The customer service is another reason I love coming here. I recently had to change my appointment time at the last minute and they were incredibly accommodating. Everyone was so polite, friendly and helpful, and nothing ever feels like too much trouble.
The salon itself is beautiful, the location is great, parking is easy, and even the drinks are excellent. The sparkling water is always spot on, and so is the champagne.
But what makes Unique really special is how you feel when you walk through the door. It is incredibly professional while still being warm, relaxed and welcoming. Dandara and her team have created a place where you are looked after from the moment you arrive, and going to Unique genuinely feels like coming home.

Juliana at reception was absolutely wonderful! She accommodated all my requests with such kindness and made me feel so welcome from the moment I arrived. And on top of that… she makes a delicious coffee!
I had the most perfect haircut with Rosana — and beyond her incredible talent with the scissors, she also has AMAZING listening skills! She understood exactly what I wanted and absolutely nailed it.
And then there was the colour… John, you nailed it! I’m in love with the result!
