My partner and I hired The Clean Panther Nettoyages for an after renovation cleaning and they did a great job. Dust was everywhere after the work was done, floors, baseboards, inside cabinets, and even on light fixtures. The team handled the post renovation cleaning properly and removed all the fine dust that typically got left behind after the many contractors finished their work. They came with the right equipment, worked efficiently, and paid attention to details. If you need after renovation cleaning in Montreal, I would recommend them.

As someone who deals with the public on a constant basis, I would give this company minus a million if I could. Hiring Clean Panther Cleaning turned into one of the most exploitative and frustrating experiences I’ve ever had with a service provider. I contacted them during a period of significant personal vulnerability. I was completely upfront about my situation and sent them a detailed video of my tiny one-bedroom apartment so they could see exactly what needed attention. The video clearly showed a room filled with dirty clothes piled everywhere—no ambiguity about the state of things. I explained that I needed a full reset and organization for my small space. They reviewed the video, confirmed they could handle it, and charged me nearly $800 before accepting the job. When the cleaner arrived, communication was immediately impossible: she spoke neither English nor French. In Montreal, that’s a serious barrier. I had to waste time translating my instructions into Spanish via my phone just to communicate basic tasks. Even then, she became visibly angry and irritated with me. Once on site, she flatly refused to handle the laundry—despite the mountain of dirty clothes staring her in the face from the video they’d already seen. As someone who’s had cleaning help my entire life, I never imagined a premium-priced service charging close to $800 would draw the line at something as basic as laundry. What exactly did they expect to do with a room full of dirty clothes—hang them up dirty? It makes no sense and feels deliberately evasive. After I called the company, a manager reluctantly said they’d do “some” laundry as a “favor”—as if my payment didn’t already cover reasonable expectations based on what I’d shown them. The job ended with them sending videos of the result. The apartment was slightly cleaner in spots, but still messy and poorly organized—no real reset, no meaningful progress on the chaos I’d shown them upfront. They failed to deliver what was reasonably implied by the scope and price. When I called to raise legitimate concerns, things got worse. The male representative was aggressive from the start: he spoke over me constantly, interrupting every time I tried to explain what went wrong. He wouldn’t let me finish a sentence, dismissed my points, and refused to give his name when asked—saying only “I’m not giving you that information.” When I asked for the videos to be emailed directly (not links I couldn’t easily use) for my records, he refused and demanded my lawyer’s name, saying he’d send them to “him”—another layer of condescension assuming I couldn’t handle it myself. The conversation escalated further. When I tried to end it due to his tone, he called me back repeatedly after I hung up, ignoring my clear requests to stop contacting me. Later texts were sarcastic: “Enjoy your brand new apartment,” attached to the same videos proving the job wasn’t done. When I mentioned leaving an honest review, he responded with: “Okay, well if you’re comfortable having your name public on Google reviews, no problem” and “good luck.” That came across as a clear attempt to intimidate me into silence rather than address my concerns about a nearly $800 service that under-delivered. This company took advantage of someone in a vulnerable position: they accepted a high fee after seeing the exact job, then hid behind “we don’t do laundry” excuses, poor communication, aggressive on-site behavior, and threatening responses when questioned. Placing faith in them only to be met with bureaucratic deflection and hostility was deeply disappointing. Anyone—especially anyone in a vulnerable situation—should think twice before hiring them. Document everything, expect pushback, and be prepared for intimidation tactics if you complain. I’ve reported this to Quebec’s OPC/CDPDJ; others who’ve had similar experiences should do the same.

We work with the public every day and regularly help people who are facing very challenging situations, whether physical or mental. However, the number of inaccurate statements and personal accusations in your review is extraordinary. At a certain point, there is simply no productive way to communicate with someone who choses aggression and hostility each time they speak.

First, the scope of work. The service booked was a super deep cleaning for an apartment in very poor condition. Laundry is not a service we offer, and it was never discussed, nor does it appear in any communication or quote provided to you. The apartment required a significant amount of deep cleaning and organization and that's what we scoped. Despite this, our team agreed to complete all your laundry and folding as a courtesy, even though it was outside the scope of the service purchased. This was a gesture to help someone in need, despite the inappropriate remarks directed at them during the experience, which we’ll cover below.

Second, the estimate and approval. The price was calculated only after reviewing the video you sent, and the job was approved based on that review. We proposed the quote, and you accepted it three days in advance. We complete 20+ jobs a day and have extensive experience; our quotes reflect that expertise. The video clearly showed that a significant amount of deep cleaning was required, far beyond a traditional deep clean, which is why the estimate was $650 + tax. The outcome and difference in your apartment before and after the service is night and day, so pretending there were just some improvement is absolutely incredible to hear and speaks volume about your character. You were already trying to fight (for no reason given the job was being done above and beyond) before you had even stepped into your home, and you were called out for it. Let's not even mention the extortion attempt, where you threatened to "request a chargeback" and "destroy our company by asking people to leave bad reviews" before you had even stepped into your home.

Third, communication. Montreal is a multilingual city, and our teams come from many different backgrounds. The cleaners assigned to the job completed the tasks within the scope of the cleaning service. A fully bilingual manager was present throughout the job and communicated directly with you.

Again, during this experience, several inappropriate remarks were made toward our staff, including referring to them as “illegal immigrants.” This statement is both inaccurate and unacceptable. The individuals you referred to in that way have lived in this country for years as residents and citizens and have consistently worked hard while treating clients with respect.

Insulting people and then publicly presenting yourself as the victim afterward is difficult to reconcile with the events that actually occurred. You weren't speaking with a "manager" on the phone, the person speaking to you on the phone was always me, the owner, so yes, I'm calling you out for lying, because every client is treated with respect - including you - despite you attempting to pull every social manipulation and gaslighting trick in the book to every single person you interacted with. While we understand that people sometimes go through difficult periods in life, directing that frustration at others, especially those working hard to make a positive difference for you, is not acceptable.

For that reason, we will leave the information already shared here and allow readers to draw their own conclusions.
