Tale Productions made two very professional videos for us. They listened carefully to our requirements and asked focused and relevant questions. They were responsive, flexible and friendly and went above and beyond to provide the accessibility features (such as integrated audio description) that we needed. They were excellent value for money and delivered on time and on budget. They took the time to really understood our project so that they could create video content that captured exactly what we wanted. During the filming they were thinking carefully about the exact footage we needed and were really patient with us as they helped us express ourselves in the best possible way. We were preparing to launch a major new product, the Work Wellbeing Playbook, and faced the challenge of how to succinctly communicate complex academic research and how to effectively use the resource in the real world. After working with Alex to hone our brief, the result was a high quality explainer video with a diverse set of voices, and an engaging blend of audio and visual resources to educate an audience with a range of experience levels. Working with Alex is a hugely rewarding experience. From the first call, he asked all of the right questions to fully understand the challenges we faced and clearly communicated the creative options at our disposal. The quality of the work is outstanding, delivering on all of the key objectives and improving the final product with additional creative flourishes. The motion graphics work tremendously well to communicate often complex concepts in a clear, concise manner and look beautiful too. The video successfully converts viewers into users of the web resource, drives additional traffic to our website, and the motion graphics are so beautiful that we now use them in presentations where we previously relied upon static images. The outcome of our collaboration was more than just a video, and I would have no hesitation in recommending Tale Production.

Working with Tale Productions has been great and I'm very pleased with the final products. I have no previous experience of producing this type of content so Alex's guidance and professionalism has been invaluable in steering the process. I commissioned Tale to produce a suite of three videos to showcase the achievements of a the Universities Partnership between the three Leicestershire universities. This included interviews with Vice Chancellors, local business leaders and school students. Alex was very creative to ensure we got the shots we needed and made everyone feel very comfortable. The final edits are very high quality and have received very positive feedback. We have already used the products at national conferences and plan to promote widely locally and to lobby nationally to demonstrate the benefits universities can bring to their local place. If you want to produce a video and have little experience...give Alex a call!

I used Tale Production to develop some videos for an academic research project. Alex worked with us to provide a very clear quote, and an outline of the all the work that would be undertaken before we committed to anything. Ahead of the filming, Alex provided support and guidance on the resources that would be needed for the day, providing outlines for interview scripts etc. It was really easy to organise the filming, and Alex was extremely professional and made it easy for me and my Patient Research Partners to be on camera. The fact that Tale Production are specialists in HE video production, meant it was very easy for them to tailor the videos to the audience, to make sure we achieved our objectives with the video. He also made suggestions during the filming, to make sure we optimised the budget available (e.g. the suggestion of a short, 30 second video for social media was not something I had planned, but is a very valuable addition to help with recruitment!). Everyone I have shown the videos to have commented on their value, and how well they have been produced. They will be an enormous value to our research, and I would definitely use them again for future projects.

We worked with Tale Production on a complex project as one of three(!) distinct clients (University of Leicester, De Montfort University and Loughborough University) and Alex was hugely professional and helpful throughout the entire process. With regular meetings and through his care and diligence, Alex helped us to shape multiple creative ideas and suggestions into a clear storyboard that he then took away for production. The video came to us in a polished state with some additional flourishes that we hadn't even considered - but that made the final product even better. Would highly recommend.

I met Alex, Director of Tale Production at the amazing PowWow meet ups 5 years ago. They are easy to work with, produce great video and specialises in highly technical companies and universities, which is great for where I am working now. They have got some incredibly high value posts such as the 10 simple ways you can get ahead with your video marketing for free, which I have used. If you didn't know you could use a tea towel to get great DIY tracking shots then give them a call. They are also developing some exciting business models such as training students to film experts: this gives triple social impact -businesses get expert tips from the horses mouth, students get to meet amazing experts, and students get real world skills leading to jobs and enterprise. As one of their clients I can also highly recommend their clever ways of working and great end results.
