I needed updated headshots urgently for an upcoming marketing campaign. From the moment I contacted Selby Studios I was pleased with the level of professionalism and customer service I received. From the almost immediate response to my online inquiry, to the virtual interview and preparation for the photoshoot, to the shoot itself, I always felt like the focus was on me and the goals I wanted to achieve from the photos. Showing up to the photoshoot, I was a bit apprehensive and anxious about the process. But the Selby team, from Desi, to Jill, and Stephanie made me relax almost immediately and the shoot flew by. Stephanie is the best, period. I have known for years that I would one day get my headshots done by her, and I'm so excited that day finally came! The entire Stephanie Selby experience is elevated -- an introductory call with her friendly team (where they answer everything you could need to know and explain the process in great detail), a followup Zoom to discuss best options for wardrobe and getting exactly what you want out of your photos, and plenty of email and text reminders so you don't forget your session (it's like she *gets* us busy professionals!! ;) ). Her studio is beautiful, serene, with ample parking and easy to find. Maggie was my H&MU artist, an absolute joy, and surprisingly super efficient at achieving "the look" you're going for. Stephanie herself is warm and bubbly, has a fantastic eye for putting together the TONS of outfit options you bring (and a nice closet full of extras, should the need arise for a tweak here or there!), and poses you in the most flattering contortions you had no idea would look so good. She gives you LOTS of options, listens to feedback (like "could we do my good side?"), and is the best photogra-coach. She has a ton of gorgeous backdrops (never cheesy) to complement every coloring. Jill was hilarious and my built-in cheerleader and hype girl in selecting the images I needed, and the PRECIOUS perfectly-behaved studio Aussie doodle was just icing on the cake. I would recommend Stephanie to anyone -- she can make you look good and her work is immediately identifiable "out in the wild." This is an investment into your career that will pay off in dividends -- there's much to be said for presenting your most polished image out into the professional world. She'll be continuing to win Best Portrait Photographer as long as she's in business, I'm certain. Thanks, Stephanie!!!
