Every aspect of our two decks rebuild project was handled by Paul and Springvan with exceptional professionalism, attention to detail, and wonderful communication. The crews worked efficiently and never left a mess. We are thrilled with the final project. It's better than we expected. This has been our best experience of any renovation we have done over the past 25 years!

Stairs, Deck and Pergola I highly recommend Springvan Carpentry & Construction. Paul and his crew are terrific. They recently rebuilt my back stairs and deck and added a new pergola. Paul responded very quickly to to my initial inquiry and provided a competitive quote. He checked underneath my existing deck to look at the state of the foundation, and determined the extent of the work needed. They started and finished on schedule and always cleaned up at the end of each day. They were pleasant, polite and did a wonderful job.

Stairs, Deck and Pergola I would definitely recommend Springvan Carpentry & Construction. Paul and his crew are terrific. They recently rebuilt my back stairs and deck and added a new pergola. Paul responded very quickly to my initial inquiry and provided a competitive quote, after checking underneath my existing deck to see the state of the old foundation, and factoring that in. They started and finished on schedule and always cleaned up at the end of each day. They were very pleasant and they did a great job.

My friends and neighbours all ask the perfect question;"where can you find people to do this sort of work?". Word of mouth. Our new stairs have transformed the house. They are beautiful. Carefully planned, perfectly executed and built from the finest natural and engineered materials, they will be there in 50 years time.

We had a great experience working with Spring Van, and especially with Paul. It was great seeing our composite deck & artificial turf project come together, and we're genuinely happy with the final result. Paul was professional throughout, communicated clearly and consistently, and always kept us updated on how things were progressing. He took the time to run decisions by us, explain our options, and make sure we were included throughout the process. It really felt like a collaborative approach from start to finish. You could tell he takes pride in his work, and that attention to detail showed in the final result. Thanks again for everything, Paul. Wishing you and the Spring Van team all the best!

We chose Springvan to create our new backyard deck, and we were pleasantly impressed with the quality and result. From the beginning of the project Paul explained and discussed our options clearly and patiently, scheduled the work conveniently, and the actual installation went beautifully. Paul and his team were professional, courteous, conscientious and everything went well. We have been so pleased with our new deck and would definitely give Springvan more jobs in future. Thanks Paul and your team!

Paul and his SpringVan Carpentry team repaired our deck in July 2026. Right from the get-go, Paul's communication was excellent, and he was easy to work with. His team was scheduled in punctually and followed through with all of the quoted tasks in our repair as outlined in the initial estimate. We are very happy with the final product in our deck repair. The work they completed was exactly what we asked for in precisely the right time-frame. I'd reccomend Paul's SpringVan team to anyone looking for a deck refurbish!

Paul and his team did a great job replacing my french doors and front stair railings, plus one or two smaller jobs, including an awning to help resolve rain damage. They were on site when they said they would be and got the jobs done within the deadline I requested. And they were always respectful and friendly. I highly recommend them to anyone looking for high quality carpentry tasks in the Vancouver area.

Deck & fascia replacement Excellent work by Springvan & their subcontractors. Provided a detailed price & diagram to replace fascia boards, cedar siding, plywood, Weatherdek vinyl and railing & glass. Answered my questions and provided advice. Commenced the work on the exact date! Excellent communication, project management, quality of work and attention to deal (especially tie-ins). You can tell Springvan has work with its vinyl and railing subcontractors for a long time. Well co-ordinated and seamless.

Paul helped us finish off a fireplace installation, preparing and installing a mantle and laying some floorboard trim. My experience with Paul was great, he was super responsive and able to accommodate delays in other trades with no issue. The work was completed to a high quality and I am was very pleased with Paul's attention to detail. Overall it was a great experience and would definitely recommend them to others.

Unfortunately our experience with Springvan Carpentry has been lukewarm at best, but I recognize the value in their work. Our projects endured repeated schedule slips, and at every step we had to follow-up to ensure quality work was delivered. Multiple trades had to be called back to fix deficiencies that would have only taken a little extra time to do nicely the first time. Paul was largely supportive about getting everything up to nicer finish quality but I was frequently disappointed that it wasn't done with care and consideration the first time.

Ivan.

Thanks for your feedback.

It was nice working with you.
We have learned a couple of key lessons during the project which will help us to improve on the areas you pointed out above.
We accept that there were some hick ups during the build and with better planning and higher expectations from sub trades we can avoid these re occurring.

We appreciate your business

I recently had Paul and his team build a new deck and fire escape staircase on a house I own. I found Paul and the team to be very responsive and solution oriented when organizing the final details. His team worked efficiently through the fall monsoon season. the project went very smoothly, was finished on time and was a high quality build. I highly recommend Paul and his team for any projects you may have!
