From start to finish, our Heroes trip with Captain Gary was absolutely outstanding! The boat was spotless, comfortable, and clearly well-cared for, which made them feel safe and relaxed the moment they stepped aboard. Gary had the perfect mix of professionalism and personality—knowledgeable about the waters, patient with both seasoned anglers and beginners, and full of local stories and tips that made the day even more enjoyable.
Our team didn’t just catch fish—they had a true experience. From helping target the right spots to making sure every person on board felt included and successful. On top of that, the hospitality and conversations were top-notch; they never felt rushed, and the day was tailored to our Heroes rather than just a “cookie-cutter” trip.
If you’re looking for a fishing charter or island where you’ll not only come home with fish, but also memories you’ll talk about for years, I can’t recommend Sportsman’s Charters enough. We are greatful for such wonderful supporters and partners!!

Great day with Gary and Kaitlyn onboard our charter. Gary was very knowledgeable about fishing spots and helped me, a beginner, very much.. Kaitlyn was quick to bait our lines whenever we needed help. We had a fantastic time and will book again!

Man, these guys are awesome! Brother’s 16th birthday and couldn’t have asked for better hosts. They were very kind, and made our experience fun and wonderful. Boat was clean, they took our trash and had laughs with us, and answered any questions we had! 100/10 and I’d book them anytime and recommend YOU to take your chances with Sportsman Charters, because they won’t let you down.

We had a fun time fishing! It was a great experience for both beginners and experienced fishers. The boat and equipment were very quality and the captain was extremely helpful.

We had a great time on the water with Sportsman Charters! From the moment we stepped onto the boat, we felt very well taken care of. They provided cold waters, an amazing large floaty, a sand-free blanket for the beach, a Bluetooth speaker for music, and offered a tent for us to use for shade. We rode on the boat for a little over an hour to the spot where we anchored to swim and hangout on the sand. A couple of manatees swam very near us while we were in the water which was awesome. And on the way back we saw dolphins, so they pulled the boat around to make sure we could get a good viewing. I would not hesitate to book Sportsman Charters again. We all had a great time!

Gary and Kaitlyn were great! They helped us and our children catch some fish and then took us to an island to hang out for awhile. They are super personable and fun to hang out with!

Gary and Kaitlyn were so incredibly nice and accommodating on our relaxing boat day. They knew all the perfect spots to go. We saw several dolphins and soaked up the sun. Would definitely recommend Sportman Charters to our friends and family!

Glen and Kaitlyn took me and 12 wounded warriors out on their boat, and it was an excellent trip! I was the event coordinator for a trip of veterans from the Wounded Warrior Project, 6 in the morning and 6 in the afternoon. Coordination was smooth and seamless, from first contact until returning to the boat ramp. Everyone caught a fish, and we were pulling them in as fast as we could cast the bait. Everyone left happy, with many of the participants leaving great feedback on their event surveys with me:
“The event was well planned...very well coordinated and executed. Being around other vets with similar struggles has taught me to try new approaches for problem solving.”
“The WWP coordinator and the crew of the charter were all friendly, courteous and easy to work with.”
“David kept me well informed all the way to the day of the event. I had a great fishing experience with Sportsman Charters of Clearwater.”

Had the pleasure of meeting Gary and Kaitlin and go fishing with them during a Wounded Warrior Project event today. They made the trip very enjoyable, were professional, courteous, knowledgeable and worked hard from the moment we left the dock until returning. If you are visiting the area and looking for a charter, I highly recommend these folks, you will not be disappointed. Thank you for making it a great trip, will definitely be back in the future!!
