Highly recommend.
☺ The property was secluded and beautiful. Our room was clean, comfy and had everything we needed. Our host was friendly and helpful.
☹ Everything was so wonderful, the only minor issue was we could hear other guests but it didn’t detract from our stay.
Es war wunderbar, in diesem B& B einfach anzukommen und sich wohl zu fühlen. Die Gastgeber Frauke und Mike lassen nichts unversucht, dich bei dem Aufenthalt wie zu Hause zu fühlen. Das Zimmer war auf unserer Reise das schönste, das wir gesehen haben. Frauke gibt unheimliche viele Tipps und es macht Spaß, sich mit ihr zu unterhalten. Es war einfach toll und wir können das Haus uneingeschränkt weiter empfehlen.

Everything at River Run Lodge was terrific. I would definitely stay there again. It was clean, convenient, and comfortable. The beds were amazing. It was amazing to sit outside in the evening in the fresh air and look at the stars. The owner was a wealth of information about things to do in the area.

Amazing Weekend Stay near Mahone Bay
I hesitated about doing a weekend trip to Mahone Bay but I'm sure glad I decided to go because it was amazing and one of the things that made it so amazing was staying at the River Ridge Lodge. Frauke, the owner, was waiting for us when we arrived and was super nice and accommodating while we settled in. There was an issue at first with payment as I had a gift certificate but it was all sorted out the first night. I slept great in the beautiful room and had everything needed including hot, fresh coffee first thing in the morning. Frauke have us some great suggestions on where to eat and what to see and we wouldn't have had a clue if we had of just went blind looking for the best places to eat. The surrounding yard and grounds are beautiful and it's so peaceful, especially the boathouse area across the street. Downtown Mahone Bay is only a five or ten minute drive away and we were within an hour of many other great places including Lunenburg, LeHave, Bridgewater, Rissers Beach and Crescent Beach. I will definitely stay here again the next time I travel to Mahone Bay!

Highly recommend! Great location, excellent accommodations and Frauke is the best! She provided all we needed to get our bearings for the area and the lodge is equipped with everything needed for a comfortable and most enjoyable stay! Remember to ask for the code for the Lunenburg Walking Tour! Love the close proximity to Mahone Bay and Encompassing Designs Studio. Easy drive to Hubbards and the Hooked Rug Museum of Nova Scotia! Eine wunderschöne Unterkunft. Frauke ist einfach wunderbar und sooo hilfsbereich. Wir haben uns einfach nur wohl gefühlt und wären gerne länger geblieben, wenn die Zeit dafür gewesen wäre.

Mahone Bay was the perfect place to stay to tour the area. Not as busy as Lunenburg.
