John's 4x4 & Rev Outfitters Reviews

Rev outfitters has been helping me keep my old jeep Cherokee sport in great shape the last year. More complex/niche stuff is starting to go wrong with it as it ages and rev outfitters manages to find a path forward every time. They’re super helpful and thorough; so happy I found them!

Explain things well and I don’t feel like they try to upsell you. They seem honest and fair. Repairs were done in a timely manner and they were great about communicating!

New update, I have completed the 500 mile rear dif oil change and had the oil changed tire rotation and alignment. So far everything seems to be working great, I’ve been to other 4x4 shops but I am very happy with John’s 4x4, they’re the shop I trust and will continue taking my truck to them. So far what was done, oil change BG products, tire rotation, and valve cover gasket are great. I'm just waiting for uca bushings to complete alignment.

I had an issue with my 2023 Ram 2500 with the 6.7L Cummins, and I’m very glad I brought it to REV Outfitters in Johnstown. They were able to squeeze me in within a few days, while the dealerships in the area were quoting a minimum two-week wait. From the beginning, they listened to my concerns, quickly diagnosed the problem, and presented multiple options based on my needs and how much work I wanted to have done. They took the time to clearly walk me through the entire process, what the job would entail, and what I could expect. There was no ambiguity or pressure. They also provided recommendations for maintaining the truck and keeping it in great working condition going forward. Everyone I dealt with was kind, professional, efficient, and clearly took pride in the quality of their work. I would definitely recommend REV Outfitters to anyone looking for a knowledgeable and trustworthy shop, especially for diesel trucks.

God is this place good. I've taken a beater truck here that I've owned for 25 years to get repaired many times, when other shops don't want to bother. And I've brought in a brand new 3/4 ton to get customized to the point that my wife almost left me. In both cases (one vehicle I just wanted budget-friendly, effective repairs, and one where I wanted to go big), the repair and customization solutions they recommended and performed were incredible. There shouldn't be a place that can do flawless bread and butter repairs reliably and affordably, but also do exotic builds where budget is less of an issue. But that's what this place is. I would probably leave my wife for John's, except it's a shop and not a lady. And I'm not sure the marriage would hold up on paper.

They rebuilt my 6 year old icon suspension system and did a great. The job did take a little longer than expected but that was due to technical difficulty with needles for pressurizing the shocks, and the shop did a great job keeping me in the loop. Would 100% recommend this shop for any off-roading needs.

So I wanted to lift my truck. I knew what I wanted but I had no idea what would work as far as fitment. Thank you Matt for your straightforward and honest advice. My truck turned out exactly the way I wanted it and the techs did an amazing job. Thanks again, 2012 Nissan Frontier SV

Top-notch expertise and service! The team at the Boulder location is incredible! Kevin and Terrell have been outstanding, from perfectly aligning my moderately lifted Jeep twice to educating me and installing some excellent Metal Cloak suspension parts that noticeably improved the ride. They even went the extra mile to resolve issues with parts from another vendor, handling the refund process with the original supplier thanks to their strong relationships. When it comes to expertise and customer service, these professionals are my go-to for any work beyond my skill level.

These guys did a great job with the alignment on my lifted 4runner. doing it exactly how I hoped for. The specialists here are passionate about their work and really know what they're doing and how to work on your specific vehicle. I recommend this place to anybody needing work on their lifted 4x4 where most shops can't do it quite right.

It was an absolutely phenomenal experience. Communication was great from start all the way to finish. Clear direction and expectations, no hidden prices. And most importantly, the work was flawless! I am already planning to bring my truck back for more upgrades. Would highly recommend!

I’ve been bringing my lifted Jeep to REV Outfitters in Boulder for the past four years, and they consistently deliver top-notch work. Izsak and the entire team are fantastic to work with. They are exceptionally knowledgeable, especially Izsak, who always takes the time to thoroughly answer any questions I have and they are completely upfront about costs every step of the way. I also love how easy it is to contact them directly, unlike a dealership where you have to jump through hoops and go through a ton of different people just to talk to a specialist. I just had some repairs done on my lifted Jeep, and thanks to their hard work, it's driving better than ever. If you're looking for a trustworthy local shop that knows what they're doing, especially when it comes to custom or lifted setups, I can't recommend them enough!
