Restore is a decent contractor... in 2022 they did a mostly good job on our house. Restore is far from perfect, but they did do the best possible job working with what they had.. there were permit issues with the City, and supply chain issues with some of the material needed for the job to be completed in a timely fashion. Our Project Manager, Robert, was very courteous and professional towards me and my mom even when we were frustrated by how slow the repairs were going.. however, we can't fault Restore because of the issues outside of their control.. the job was completed, and for that I will reluctantly recommend this company, but they only get 3 stars from us...

What we found over the 4 years after the repair on our house, Restore used the cheapest materials possible in order to save money and maximize profits received from our insurance company. Some of our electrical outlets installed by Restore were cheap and they have broken down over the past 4 years, and simply not working properly anymore. The sump pump discharge drain pipe was not covered by the insurance and we had to pay a Restore contractor an overcharge fee of $6100 out-of-pocket for a pipe & window well that shouldn't have cost more than $1000 at most. This is what happens when a customer doesn't know any better and gets overcharged. This pipe was also installed wrong, or the sump pump wasn't properly installed or properly adjusted, because the pump runs every 10 minutes or so regardless if its rainy or dry outside. Water from our sump pump ended up flooding a neighbors yard. The neighbor in question complained to the City, and we were promptly cited in 2025 by a City inspector, and we had to take measures to ensure water no longer leaked in our neighbors' yard. Restore contractor also installed a faulty window well that now allows water to sip in our basement when it rains heavily. Now we have to spend money to fix the sump pump and the sump pump drain pipe, as well as the window well.
Restore is a good company, but be sure they use quality materials, and be weary of hidden "side" jobs not covered by insurance.

Restore Construction handled everything from start to finish seamlessly. All paperwork was filed timely, to my insurance company. Very detailed claim was submitted by Andrew. Christian and Nancy provided excellent follow up from the office. Lukasz Jarzabek was my construction site manager. Lukasz provided me timely updates throughout the entire reconstruction project. He met all deadlines. Lukasz and his crew do stunning work. My 4 flat apartment building looks like it was just built, and it’s over 50 years old. High quality work.
If you need your property restored, call Restore. They charge fairly , do excellent work and take pride in their completed projects. I would highly recommend them for anyone’s restoration project.

Restore construction was there for my family from the beginning of my ordeal..y construction Mgr and his team were great to work with. Lukas was very caring and understood my trauma. He explain what I could reasonable accept and when my request were not in the scope he would explain to me how that was not possible but assured me that quality materials and work was being done on my house.

I had a very disappointing experience with Restore Construction out of Melrose Park, IL. After a fire, they took our house items for cleaning and restoration, but many of the items were returned in the same condition as before. My couches were even returned incomplete, which was extremely frustrating.
The entire process took months to resolve, and communication was terrible throughout. Customer service constantly gave me the runaround instead of providing clear answers or updates. Overall, the experience added more stress during an already difficult situation.

Just flooded first time ever. Chris came out fast and assessed everything. Had his crew there in 3 hours setting up and drying out my basement. They were beyond professional and explained everything. I can't thank Chris enough for everything. ALOT of homes flooded, but Restore Restoration is there when you need them. They removed some of the stress to a very stressful situation. I highly recommend Restore Restoration if you are ever in need.

I operate a Fine Dining restaurant in the area. We had a fire in a kitchen due to a gas leak. Long story short. Chris the GM took care of everything from the minute they walked in, until the final walkthrough. Not only did they do the work we hired them to do, they recommended people to help assist with dropping the hoods and much more. Chris was available at every text i sent out, no matter how early or late. He made the whole process less stressful and relaxing for me as the operator of the business. I cannot begin to tell you enough of great things about the company. The owners are wonderful people, and they did a superb job on the restoration. They even worked on getting bids for the roof and tried to make sure they didn't overcharge. I cannot post pictures due to company policy. But I can tell you that they had everything done in 2 weeks and we never missed a beat on operations. Great communication, and professionalism. I read some of the poor reviews and I'm shocked to say the least. This was not my experience at all. Thanks Chris, Michael and team!

Our sprinkler system burst in mid-December 2025 during an extreme cold weather, causing a major disaster—our showroom got flooded with collapsed ceiling. The fire department chief on site recommended Restore, and we’re so grateful he did.
Chris M., the senior project manager, contacted me immediately, and the crew arrived within an hour. They worked efficiently, cleaning and dehumidifying the space until 10 p.m. Everyone on the team was professional, polite, and accommodating throughout the entire process.
Chris was especially outstanding—patient, supportive, and always available to answer questions. He truly helped ease my stress and frustration from start to finish, guiding us through both the cleanup and the remodel.

We had a fantastic experience with Restore Construction. When we discovered water coming into our house during a brutal Chicago winter, we realized we were dealing with serious ice damming on both the front and back of our home but had no idea what to do.
Restore Construction responded immediately and came out right away. From the start, they made us feel calm and confident that the situation was under control. Their team opened up the affected walls to properly dry everything out and did a great job keeping the work areas as clean as possible throughout the process.
The communication was excellent. The Restore Construction team followed up regularly and was always easy to reach by text or phone. When it came time to complete the repairs, everything was finished beautifully and honestly looked even better than it did before.
What really stood out was how helpful they were beyond the repair itself. They even gave us recommendations on how to improve our mansard roof to help prevent ice damming in the future. They didn’t have to do that, but it showed they truly cared about solving the root problem.
Everyone we worked with at Restore Construction was professional, proactive, and knowledgeable. Special shout out to Chris for being incredibly responsive and helpful throughout the entire process.

From the moment the fire occurred, the situation was overwhelming. As a business owner, the uncertainty surrounding the damage, the insurance process, and the potential interruption to our operations was incredibly stressful. Fortunately, Restore stepped in and immediately demonstrated a level of professionalism, persistence, and care that exceeded my expectations.
One of the most impressive aspects of working with Restore was their ability to perform the fire restoration work while we remained partially open. They understood the importance of keeping our doors open for our customers and worked carefully around our operations. Their team was respectful, organized, and extremely sensitive to the nature of our business, which made a very difficult situation much more manageable.
In addition to the high-quality restoration work, Restore also played a critical role in advocating on our behalf with the insurance company. Our Business Personal Property claim was drawn out for well over a year, and at times it felt like we were getting nowhere. Restore never gave up. They remained persistent, continued pushing the insurance company, and fought to make sure our claim was handled properly. Thanks to their dedication and persistence, the insurance company ultimately paid the full policy limits on our business claim. That outcome made an enormous difference for us and helped our business fully recover after the fire.
The restoration work itself was excellent. The quality, attention to detail, and professionalism of the team were outstanding. Restore delivered exactly what they promised and helped us navigate one of the most challenging situations our business has ever faced.
