I hired Reachpoint for a website rebrand specifically to attract new clients after transitioning off insurance panels. I planned this change a full year in advance so I could begin building visibility and new clientele before the transition took effect. The contract stated that deliverables included “achieving quality rankings within Google”(and I have a photo of the contract to prove this is true). The project cost ~ $5000.00.
After the site launched, my website did not appear in Google searches related to my services. I raised this concern repeatedly over several months and continued emailing the developer for tangible reasons explaining why I was unfindable. And the issue was not resolved.
Because I was not getting answers, I eventually consulted other professionals in the industry. Both immediately asked whether Google Search Console had been set up—an essential, industry-standard tool for indexing and diagnosing visibility issues. I later learned that my site had never been registered with Google Search Console, nor was it suggested or implemented when I reported being unfindable. This omission meant there was no way to properly diagnose or address the problem during a critical year-long window in my business transition. I ultimately had to register the site myself nearly a year after launch. This took several hours. I am not tech savvy which is why I hired Reachpoint.
As a result, I lost valuable time and now must hire a new SEO professional to correct these foundational issues and make my business findable online—one full year after my website was launched.
When I requested accountability and a partial refund, my request was denied. Additionally, after I posted a detailed review describing my experience, the review was removed, leaving only the one-star rating visible.
Based on my experience, I strongly recommend that prospective clients clearly confirm, in writing, which foundational SEO steps are included before working with Reachpoint and if "Quality rankings within google," is actually something that can be achieved, as promised, otherwise, it is very misleading. I would also request that Reachpoint register your site to Google Search Console so that if there is visibility problems, as in my case, then Reachpoint can understand why. This could save a year of trying to figure it out by yourself. I am very disappointed. This has taken hours and hours of my time and energy. Reachpoint offered a $500 "good faith" refund, but that was not the amount that I think is fair.
For clarity for anyone reading: the project was a full website redesign and logo creation with basic, one-time SEO setup, as outlined in the signed agreement. The agreement did not include ongoing SEO management, Google Search Console setup, or guaranteed rankings, which cannot be guaranteed due to factors outside any developer's control.
The site was indexed by Google shortly after launch, and when concerns about visibility were raised later, I remained responsive, met to discuss the issue, and provided guidance and next-step recommendations, including marketing options and Google Business Profile support, all of which were outside the original scope of work.
Although all contracted deliverables were completed, I issued a $500 goodwill refund in an effort to resolve the matter professionally.
