Where do I even begin? We traveled from South Florida for my kids’ hockey tournament, and although they didn’t finish the way we had hoped, it left me with a free morning to train. I found Progresso BJJ and showed up unannounced for the 6:30 a.m. class—with no gear!
Professor Guilherme welcomed me with open arms and provided me with a gi and belt. That hospitality immediately made me feel at home.
The facility stood out for its cleanliness, modern look, and professional atmosphere. Professor Guilherme was extremely knowledgeable and patient, answering questions and helping students understand the concepts behind the drills.
The students were just as welcoming. As a visitor, I appreciated how willing everyone was to help me get comfortable and adapt to their training style.
If you live in or are visiting the Frisco area, I highly recommend stopping by Progresso BJJ for a trial class or drop-in. Thank you to Professor Guilherme and everyone at the gym for making a visitor from South Florida feel like part of the team!
Unfortunately, our son was not quite ready for Jiu-Jitsu. However, I've traveled all around the world and I've been to many different schools, and these guys are legit. Moreover, they are very friendly and kind. We will try again next year. However, my wife and I will also be attending this school as adults. Both adult and kid curricula are outstanding.
I came to this location at recommendation of one of my closest friends. I am visiting Dallas and he highly recommended this Gym as soon as I walked in I was greeted with an extreme welcome and they were already Aware that I was coming and made me feel at home. I’ve been to many gyms before, Being a Gym owner myself, I understand how important it is for people to feel welcomed as soon as they walk in that door. Both professor Davi’s were extremely professional and Made me feel welcomed and at home. the people at the gym as well were awesome rolling partners there was no egos and no one was trying to deliberately hurt anyone you can tell, It’s just a room where everybody just desires to get better and wants their teammates to be Better as well. The only bad thing I can say Is that I don’t live here and can’t train here every day I wish I had the ability to do so if I ever moved to Dallas This is going to be the Gym I commit to. Thank you progresso for upholding the true meaning and community aspect of Jiu Jitsu.
I had a great time. I came from California and wanted to keep training while I was away from home and had a lot fun. The instructor was kind and showed me the same respect as one of his every day students.

Teachers at Progresso are phenomenal. Involvement in martial arts has helped me grow as a human being. At Progresso you are surrounded with inspiring people who encourage that growth. Can’t say enough good things about this place. Ossss!

This is the best place to train BJJ. Not just because of the high level staff and coaching but because everyone here is so kind especially the coaches.
