Me and my friend visited last Wednesday. We both had the porterhouse with Stilton crust. I had the Stilton gravy as well. My friend had the bone marrow gravy. Wow. Steak was cooked perfectly. Finished with Bakewell tart and Eton mess. Wow. Service was great. Food fantastic. We will be back thank you
Booked for a Birthday meal for x 8 everyone cleared their plates, food first class, staff service very good and in my opinion exceptional value for money!

Honestly its the best steak we have ever had, and we have been just about everywhere, the place is amazing. Priced perfect...it blows everything out of the water. The steak is to die for, service fabulous. How have we only just found this place. 10/10

Who needs a chain like M&C when you have Porterhouse by Barlows around the corner from you? Reasonable prices, high quality, perfectly cut and cooked steak, exactly you your preferred doneness, and generous portions. We recommend taking your appetites with you! The staff are attentive, knowledgeable, polite and friendly. Any issues are handled in a professional manner and even the house red wine has been well chosen to pair with Beef. We ate from the Al a Carte menu on a Saturday night. We were waited on consistently and in good time by the front of house team who were very attentive. We started with Bao Buns and the chicken strips, all the starters tasted fantastic, were well presented and generous portions. All of us went for the steak experience, 3 Jurassic steaks and a Porterhouse, all perfectly cooked tender and delicious, we shared a selection of sides between 4 of us and enjoyed them all immensely. We opted for creme brulees and and sticky toffee puddings for dessert. The creme brulee was a lovely way to end to the meal for me, unfortunately the sticky toffee pudding had been over baked, resulting in a burnt top and a loss of moisture in the cake part. The staff quickly made it right and removed them from the bill, without us even asking for them too. We had a great 1st impression from the team here and will definitely be back. This place is perfect for anything from solo dining and couples, and could probably handle groups of up to 10 to 15 with ease.
1st visit last night but re booked whilst we were there. Friendly, efficient staff. Food was excellent. Steaks cooked to perfection, which we rarely find! Compliments to the chef. Desserts were awesome. Thank you very much to all the staff at Porterhouse. Looking forward to our next visit. Already tasting it! 😃
100%top notch food fab atmosphere lovely service explained about the steaks and desserts we had all questions answered would recommend for everyone to go and have a meal there
We've been going here twice a month for three years and normally have a good experience, tonight was awful. I always book a downstairs table because I have Degenerative disc disease, hold a blue badge and find stairs extremely painful. Tonight I was told we had to sit upstairs, despite telling them in person about my condition, and I was seated next to the toilets... If I had known and not already paid a deposit, I would have gone elsewhere. Absolutely disgusted and now in more pain.
Best restaurants in Nottinghamshire by a country mile. On the high price range but you pay for quality. Yum
