I’d give this place zero stars if that were an option. It was extremely crowded, and the buffet had very limited choices. We were told to seat ourselves, but after waiting several minutes, no server came by to explain anything or take our order. We ended up getting our own food because no one gave us any direction, and only later did someone come to take our drink order. Overall, it didn’t live up to the hype..will not be back, weird vibes
We love this place. The food is awesome. We live in Indiana but everytime we come to Owensboro, at least twice a year, we eat here. Staff is great.
First time me my wife and our son went here and won’t be back the food was either over salted, bland, dry. Called ahead and was told it would be 13.63 per person for buffet but somehow paid over 40 for two. Honestly just stick to Moonlight BBQ better selection and better quality
BBQ chicken had no real taste sauce was bland cornbread fabulous cold slaw had to much vinegar sweet tea great food was from drive threw
My dad did not like any of it. Not even the sweet tea. He only took a couple bites of his food and was charged full price. Even when I called and spoke to someone about my dad not eating. That person responded bc he ate off the buffet he had to pay full price. Even though he only took one or two bites off his plate. He didn't even drink his tea. I still left a tip though.
I'm giving a one star because a friend of mine and I were got the buffet. He got mashed potatoes and green beans and 3 chicken legs. He was feeling bad and couldn't eat the last 2 legs. He had half of one and a whole of the other left. He wanted to take them home and try to eat them later. He didn't even finish his mashed potatoes. It wasn't like he got a bunch of food off of the buffet and was wanting to take it home for free. He wanted the one plate that he had with that little bit left and eat it later They were going to throw it in the garbage anyway. And they made a big stink to do about it like even got lectured by the waiter. Like he was a criminal. He eats there so much that you think that they would understand and realize he just wanted to take the chicken and a half legs home. That he's not stealing. He's a 77 year old Vietnam veteran...and sometimes can't finish a meal. He will never eat there again as he was so upset that they treated him like he was a thief. They told me they would get a manager for him to talk to and we waited there for 15 minutes and a manager never came out. I just think that they knew him well and no one wanted to get the manager Because the manager was probably going to make an exception and be understanding. I would like to have thought so. Because basically he just paid $16 plus taxes for a couple spoonfuls of mashed potatoes and some green beans. So I really don't blame him that he doesn't want to go back. We really thought highly of Ole South... But apparently greed has got a hold of them... And they have no compassion for veterans or the elderly.
A little added here I didn't get to finish my food either because I had to go find out about this chicken leg situation so we just basically paid for just a plate's worth of a meal.
Best bbq in Owensboro! Breakfast buffet is awesome. Quick service and always great food!
Breakfast buffet was extraordinary. Very diverse selection of breakfast meats and typical breakfast offerings. Including an extensive fruit and salad type bar. Service was attentive (my coffee never got cold), and everything was prepared as you would want your meal to start the day. Highly recommended if you like breakfast buffets.
