Newhey Construction Reviews

Kate Beresford 2026.09.27

Just at the end of a 6 month renovation project with Matt, Dean and team. The quality of work is exceptional, they are honest, reassuring when we couldn’t see an end to it all and met up with us whenever we had any queries. All the lads that came round over the past 6 months have been hard working, polite and very easy to be around. They went the extra mile for us and we highly recommend them.

We couldn’t be happier with our loft conversion, From start to finish, the whole team were brilliant, They were always punctual , incredibly clean and tidy, and took great care of our home throughout the work. Everything was completed to a really high standard, and it was clear they took pride in what they were doing. The whole process was much easier and less stressful than we expected thanks to to their professionalism, reliability and friendly approach. We would have no hesitation in recommending them to anyone considering having any work done. A fantastic job from start to finish -thank you. Stewart and Nicola

Newhey have just completed a loft renovation at our property. They have been punctual and polite throughout. Newhey are great at finding solutions and ‘rolling with the punches’ which an old house like ours will always give! Newhey has been very adaptable throughout the project and we are happy with the end result which has given us a much improved living space. Thanks!

Unprofessional and unreliable local builder in Oswaldtwistle. The workmanship is substandard. I strongly advise avoiding them!

We recently used Newhey for our kitchen extension, and Matt, Dean, and the whole team did a fantastic job from start to finish. They bent over backwards to make sure we got exactly what we wanted and worked hard every single day to keep the project moving. As with any building work, especially when you're living without a kitchen for several weeks, there are always challenges along the way. However, the team made the process as smooth and stress-free as possible. They were always willing to come back and resolve any issues quickly and their pricing was really fair. We're delighted with the finished result and wouldn't hesitate to recommend Newhey to anyone considering an extension or building project. Thank you to Matt, Dean and the team for all your hard work!

It's my absolute pleasure to write a review for Newhey following completion of our loft conversion and dormer refurb. From our initial enquiry regarding options and prices through to completion, the customer care from Newhey has been amazing! Matt and his incredible team of friendly, enthusiastic, talented and hardworking lads have transformed our once useless space into a bathroom, bedroom, dressing room and store room. I was informed at each stage with what to expect and timescales. There were no empty promises or wasted days and our project ran like clockwork thanks to all involved. I would recommend Newhey in a heartbeat, and want to thank all the guys who helped transform our loft - you are all absolutely amazing!

We couldn't be happier with the work that Matt, James, the team at Newhey and all of the trades that have helped build and refurbish our home. We planned for a 2 story extension and a house wide upgrade including 3 new bathrooms/ w.c., new kitchen, electrical rewire and new heating system. The work has taken a little under 4 months to complete with only a few minor snags along the way, which Newhey promptly resolved. I would certainly use them again for any future projects and would thoroughly recommend them to anyone else looking to complete a project similar to ours. Thanks to everyone that helped us move into our dream home and the team at Newhey for making it into a reality!

A great experience with Newhey from quote to completion! The team of James, Dean, Levi and Jay were amazing. Always prompt, delivered in the rough time scale I was given, dealt with minor hold ups along the way always left the space they were working in tidy. Highly recommend. See you for phase two!

Couldn’t be happier with our double storey extension, Newhey have been great, along with all the trades they’ve involved along the way. We’ve been kept really well informed by Matt and James, which has really helped to navigate building work around usual family life. Our daughter now has a double bedroom to play in, and we love the space underneath with the addition of a cosy lounge and log burner. We wouldn’t hesitate to recommend Newhey to friends and family, thank you for all your hard work!

NewHey have recently completed a extension of our kitchen. We are delighted with the results. The new section is blended beautifully in with the existing walls - thanks to excellent work by the stone masons - and the roofline and internal beaming, which was far from straightforward, is also fantastic. James and Matt checked in regularly to make sure we were happy with the work. We would not hesitate to recommend. Thank you!

Matt and the team did an amazing job adding a whole new floor consisting of 2 bedrooms, bathroom and hallway to our house. The standard of workmanship was excellent - no issues with the building inspections . The project was professionally managed and we were kept informed at all stages what was happening. Thoroughly recommend

Really great lads. They came out quoted. Said when they could start the job. They have kept me updated throughout the whole job of our garage conversion. We are now 97% done and we couldn't be happier with the work that has been completed. 100% would use again in the future and 100% recommend to anyone needing a conversion doing.

Ours was a relatively small job - pointing work to walls and patio. Jimmy carried out the work in a professional manner and we were pleased with the results. Furthermore, he charged a fair price for the work. Overall - we're very happy customers. Roger & Elaine

We recently worked with Matt, James and the team on the complete renovation of our cottage, which included the loft, sunroom, bathroom and garden. We are really pleased with the results. Cottage Conversion The main living area of the cottage has been beautifully transformed Matt listened to our ideas and executed them well. The space now has a perfect blend of rustic charm and modern convenience, making it cozy and inviting in both the Summer and the Winter. Loft The loft conversion is stunning. We’ve made the most of the space, creating a bright and airy area with an en suite loo. The large Velux windows allow plenty of natural light, making the loft feel open and welcoming. The craftsmanship is evident in the attention to detail. Sunroom The sunroom is a lovely addition replacing a worn out UVPC conservatory. New Hey have created a serene and peaceful space that has become one of our favourite spots to read, have a coffee or a cocktail! The large tri-fold doors offer beautiful views of the garden and the river, and the quality of the work is solid and reliable. Garden The garden conversion is wonderful. Matt and James and their team did an excellent job designing and planting a beautiful, vibrant garden. The BBQ area they added is a nice touch, providing a perfect spot to enjoy the outdoors. Overall, we are very happy with the work done by New Hey. The project wasn’t without its problems due to several ‘unknowns’ but the team were professional, communicative, and attentive to our needs throughout. We would recommend New Hey for any building or renovation projects. They have made our home much more beautiful and functional.

Newhey Loft Conversations are very highly recommended, very professional keeps everything clean as they do the job. Some builders leave rubbish everywhere but this company does not! They built my front porch and didn't take long from start to finish. They always consulted me every step of the way when they was doing the job. Excellent company 100% recommend!
