Our Daughter has been here since just after her first birthday, currently nearly 3 and in the 3 Year Kindy room. Taking away nothing from the rest of the team there but I want to share my top 3 from here. Team Leader Wendy of the room is great, the kids love her and parents like me find her to be excellent with her attention to detail, communication, and passion for what she does. The Director Mel works exceptionally hard behind the scenes and in general obviously, I have found her to be exceptionally welcoming, reliable, great with communicating, and a cool yet very competent head in a very dynamic workplace. Bec has been there since the start for us, she fosters the same culture, and I rarely leave there after a drop off or pick up without having a laugh when we interact. Most importantly, our Daughter has always loved Miss Bec, which has been super helpful on occasions where our Daughter has not been too keen to say goodbye at drop off..! Recommend..!

The educators have been absolutely amazing with my additional needs child. Every member of staff has gone above and beyond to ensure he feels safe respected and supported. My daughter absolutely loves her daycare! The team is so caring and attentive, and I always feel confident leaving her there. The food is nutritious, the hygiene standards are excellent, and the environment is warm and welcoming. We’re so grateful for the wonderful care they provide every day. We absolutely love the whole team in the junior kindy room, couldn’t be any happier

We’ve absolutely loved the connections we’ve formed as a growing family attending Milestones The Lakes. Our eldest daughter attended from around 15 months to 4 years old, our second from nursery through to current 3-year-old kindy, and soon our third will begin in the nursery as well. Throughout our time here, we’ve built a genuine relationship with the educators and admin team, and we’ve always felt welcomed, supported, and valued. The care, attention, and early learning education provided have exceeded our expectations. We truly couldn’t have asked for a better start for our children.

This place is amazing! It's hard to just give feedback on one particular person or team, because I can only imagine that they are all as welcoming, comforting and supportive as the educators I have dealt with. However I would like to shout out to A few particular educators that Willow and I have been interacting with since attending Milestones the Lakes. Miss Bek - Miss Bek was the first person I left Willow with, I immediately liked her because she was outgoing, "real" , supportive and understanding, whilst I navigated my way through being a first time Mum and Daycare. ⁰ Now Willow is basically all grown up ( and in toddlers 1) with Miss Jordan, Miss Tony and Miss Keisha. Jordan, Markeisha And Toni After going through a lot of daycares for my son, I tried milestones the lakes and found it to be the the most caring centre for my kids my daughter started there from a very young age and had reflux and was always looked out for! Since joining Jordan, Markeisha And Toni in toddler room I have noticed the biggest change in my daughter, she loves going to daycare now. she is so loved and cared for and makes it easier for me to go to work everyday knowing she is in good hands they help with all her milestones and any concerns I have hands down the best educators I've come across in Townsville! They all deserve a raise!

Our children have attended Milestones the Lakes since the end of January 2024, just after the centre commenced a new management team. The management team has really put in the work when trying to connect with the families, ensuring we are settling into the centre and any and all concerns so far have been met and addressed swiftly from management. The staff have forged wonderful relationships with each of our children, they have listened to our concerns and have really worked along side us to help develop and foster confidence, independence and school readiness for our 4yo especially, but have been excellent in the communication with our 2 younger children also. We have settled in wonderfully, the staff are welcoming and receptive and we are glad to have chosen this centre for our family.

What started as a good experience turned bad. It was very clear that there was a major cultural issue amongst the staff which lead to huge staff turnover, a negative atmosphere and constant requests to keep kids at home as they were short staffed. The centre management near the end was awful, they were incredibly rude and didn’t even greet you as you entered to drop your child off, just kept their heads down. It was quite hard to believe in honesty. Unless they have changed centre management and fixed their staff issues, I would not recommend sending your kids to this centre. For context our son was there from 6 months until he was just under 2. By the end we felt we had no choice but to pull him out.

We sent our daughter to 2 different daycares in Townsville before finding Milestone The Lakes and we couldn't be happier, she is so much happier and loves going. An early educator is a tough position, and the staff always ensure they make you feel welcome even on their hardest days. Our daughter has blossomed being in the centre and it's a true testament to the staff. They do such a wonderful job, the kids are very lucky.

Highly recommended this centre. Melissa and the room educators have gone above and beyond to help settle my little one into the babies room. The room educators are genuinely amazing and have been so friendly. It has made the transition back to work/daycare feel alot less stressful! My bub loves her daycare days and is so comfortable already after only a short time!

My son has been attending Milestones The Lakes for over a year now. This year he is in Kindergarten and thriving. He has been coming home and will tell me things he has learnt or will surprise me by putting what he has learnt from daycare into action at home. His counting, colours and vocabulary have improved tremendously. I have also witnessed him use breathing and counting technique's to calm himself down in situations. I’m beyond impressed with how much he has improved and learned already this year.

The educators and team at Milestones the Lakes have been so warm and welcoming to our family. They have provided so much support to my children as they transitioned to the centre. The educators have all been so lovely, welcoming and have already forged wonderful relationships with my children. The centre is very clean, tidy and provide a wide variety of outdoor activities for the children with great shade from the harsh sun. My children have LOVED the fresh meals provided from their amazing chef and have settled into the centre amazingly due to the staffs involvement and support.

Milestones the Lakes is hands down the best childcare centre in Townsville. The educators go out of their way to make you feel comfortable. My daughter is in with Miss Karla and Miss Karla always greats us with a smile and makes us feel safe leaving our princess in her care. I would recommend this centre to anyone and everyone.
