I saw online Mike’s had good ratings. I stopped in one day because my dashboard lights were on .. I was told they didn’t have time, to make an appointment. I was worried about what was happening with my car so I went elsewhere -
Joe’s Foreign Auto. I was serviced immediately, no issues. Great people, no upselling, fair prices.
I gave another shot - stopped in for oil change. Was told they were booked out for weeks. Could not help, even tho I was willing to wait. I drove just up the road to Modern & was immediately serviced, out in 20mins. They accepted a competitor’s coupon also .. Twice now I’ve gone to this shop without any service - Won’t be a third time
I guess the good reviews are from people who had appointments lol

The best in customer service . I can get free oil changes with the dealership that I bought my car from but I go to Mike’s. Communication is excellent and the guys are just so friendly. Concerned for your safety and looking out not to inconvenience you. Been there for over 20 years and will continue to do so for as long as I am in the area. Mike is now retired but did a great job of recruiting the best people in the business.

I revised my review from 5 stars to 3 stars. As a long time customer, I recently visited in February and was told an East Hartford firm had acquired Mike’s Auto and they no longer want to work on older, classic vehicles. I was surprised but went to another local shop where a former Mike’s Auto customer experienced service problems due to staff turnover, new inexperienced staff, and high prices. Very disappointing that a good firm was acquired and now is no longer a trusted option for vehicle service.

Mike's seems to be a popular place for emissions testing. When I went recently, the waiting room was full, with a line extending out the door. I've never witnessed anything like it and ended up going to another shop down the street with no wait.

I felt some slipping in the transmission on my 2021 GMC pickup and someone at work said call Mike’s they will do you right.
I want on there website and read the reviews and from there it seemed like a no brainer, I called and explained what was going on and they said dro the truck off and they would take a look and let me know what they find, I said I can’t just leave it because I don’t have another vehicle to drive and they said bring it in on Monday and they would have a vehicle for me to drive.
They told me that I needed a new transmission and some other parts that go with it, how much it would cost and approximately how long it would take to get the parts and complete the repairs, I went in and left a deposit and they said they would call when the truck was ready, when I asked about the car they said to drive the car until my truck was ready, I wasn’t expecting that.
The folks at Mike’s are top notch & their work is the same.
If you’re vehicle needs repairs take it to Mike’s they will treat you right.

Had major work done on my Honda including front and back breaks - The breaks were squeaking after replaced and they took my truck right back in and replaced the breaks at no cost - They warranty all their work and stand by that warranty . always friendly and knowledgeable and personable which you don’t find that common nowadays . Will be using Mikes for all my repairs and maintenance .
