Incredible experience. The best way to explore the Lofoten Islands and Midnight Campers was great! They had everything in the van you could want or need ready to go, it was clean and well maintained. We had all our questions answered and communication was easy. Highly recommend and would rent from them again if we get the chance to go back someday!
We had a seamless experience with Midnight Campers! Pickup and drop off were easy, Jessica was helpful and communicative, and the van was equipped with anything you need- some things we didn’t even get to use. Bed and bedding are super comfy cozy! I recommend to anyone looking to see the islands in this ideal way :)
This was our first time renting a camper van and we had a great experience. There is no better way to explore the Lofoten Islands in my opinion. The camper was an older vehicle, but still worked great. Jessica was very responsive to any questions that came up. The camper was equipped with all the necessities such as a kitchen and cooking equipment, a very comfy bed, a heater, etc., but we were even more grateful that it included 2 shower towels and a table and chairs. Those were just little luxuries that were to hard to pack when flying from the US, but we were so happy to have. Would definitely recommend.
An Unforgettable Road Trip in Paradise!
Exploring the Lofoten Islands in a campervan was hands down one of the best travel experiences of my life. Spending a week driving through this breathtaking archipelago with ultimate freedom was an absolute dream come true.The scenery is completely surreal—majestic mountains plunging straight into crystal-clear turquoise waters, dramatic fjords, and white-sand beaches around every corner. Having a campervan meant I could wake up to these world-class views every single morning and change my itinerary whenever I wanted. The midnight expedition van itself was fantastic: clean, incredibly well-equipped, cozy, and surprisingly easy to drive even on the narrower scenic roads.If you are planning to visit Lofoten, doing it in a campervan is the absolute best way to experience its raw, untouched beauty. I cannot non recommend this experience highly enough. I am already dreaming of coming back!

Great family owned company with personalized service. The van was very cozy and reliable. Everything was handy for cooking and for chilling out inside or outside the van. We had a great time travelling Vesterålen and Lofoten for 8 days in a Midnight camper van.

Jessica and the Midnight Campers team were fantastic! The van was spacious, comfortable, and equipped with everything we needed, including dishes, a bathroom, heater, power outlets, a sink, and a stovetop. We truly can’t imagine experiencing Lofoten any other way—having a camper van gave us the freedom to explore at our own pace. A fantastic camper! Not the newest. But a really good one. Good introduction to the car and all the practical tings.
A good heater, nice bed, smart with the bed, where you can adjust the size if you want a chair. The water system and gas system also work really well. So sweet to recommend mountains to hike in and places to stay. Can definitely recommend this company! This is not the last time I have traveled in a camper! The flexibility to go wherever you want and the view when you eat, go to bed and wake up is fantastic. An amazing way too explore Lofoten. Sweet and trustworthy owners!

We had the best experience we could dream for. Jessica is very welcoming and helpful. We have seen some magestic northern lights from the bed in Uttlakleiv beach, what a luxury seriously ! The van is well thought and cosy. I would advise to put on the heater 15min before waking up and taking the breakfast. The kitchen is perfect for eggs, simple pasta and tortillas (I recommand buying small tupperware to avoid bad smell from leftovers). The shower has surprinsingly good pressure. We didn't use the toilets, you ll find WC in most places. We also rented the paddle and had awesome sessions in Haukland and Laukvika (if you are not very familiar with the sea keep in mind that you have to be confortable to avoid waves crashing on rocks)
Extra tips that have nothing to do with the van but will make your trip memorable if you are new to Norway's adventures:
If you are up for the hikes, bring decent hiking shoes, hiking poles (very handy if you are goofy like me), warm clothes, gloves, a thermos, etc. Keep in mind that the weather can change quickly, we saw so many people ill equipped and getting cold. I recommand to prioritize difficult hikes according to the weather - most of them are very slippery when wet.
We woke up at 5am and started our hikes at 7am (last week of september) and therefore avoid the crowds on popular hikes (only 1 guy with us at Reine peak, so worth it). Last but not least, download tha app Park4night to find spots for the nights and alltrails to know all about the hikes.

My wife and I recently completed our 8 day trip to Lofoten and took a chance renting from Midnight Campers as when we booked they did not have any reviews as they are a new company this year. We could not be more pleased with how everything turned out. Not only are Jessica and Eirik both incredibly nice and thoughtful people, but they did an excellent job with the van.
It rained quite a bit while we were there and the only thing that made the trip enjoyable was being able to have a cozy van with a heater inside to cook food and relax after a long day. They have everything you could need for your trip and probably more!
In Lofoten there are a lot of vans given the right to roam, however, we would constantly see other van companies and think that we got the best one. It’s just the right size, large enough for a 6’1 guy to stand up comfortably and sleep well. Also, you don’t have to do much conversions each day for your bed and cooking arrangement it is the perfect size and layout. Additionally, driving the van on the tighter roads was easy as well.
10/10 service from Midnight campers! They are the best!

We had a fantastic week with the campervan! The weather was great, but the personal and relaxed contact with Jessica & Eirik (+Hedda 🐕 ) was fantastic, it made everything very easy. The van itself is spacious and cleverly designed. A big plus: cooking next to that huge sliding door, felt like we were practically cooking outside.
