I was searching everywhere for an interpreter for my Irish dance performance that I was inviting a dear friend of mine who is deaf. I wasn't having any luck finding anybody available... Luckily, I found Language Connection PDX, and Tolu came through with her fast response time and clear communication and she was able to find an interpreter for my event with ASL interpreter Jarvis! He was right on time and very friendly and sat with my friend during the show interpreting and even afterwards when I sat at the table it felt like Jarvis was a friend at that table too 🤗 I'm so thankful for your help and your service. I will definitely go through you guys again for interpreting needs. Highly recommend.🤟

Tolu arranged for a Thai interpreter in less than 24 hours for a critical legal issue. The interpreter, Bo, was professional, accurate, timely, and used her skills to talk through complex legal issues with my clients, other parties, and professionals. Bo's ability to understand and convey what each party was saying was key to a successful meeting. The meeting lasted 3 hours and Bo was just as professional and competent at the end of the intense meeting as she was when we started. Plan to use Bo to continue communicating accurately as our matter progresses.

Language Connection President Contacted Me to ask me if I was interested in becoming part of Tolú’s Interpreter Team. I was immediately amazed because I was praying to get another contract because I was struggling to fill my agenda and as I’m ready to say amen the call came in. Happy Employee I’m a recent addition to the Spanish Interpreter Team. What lovely time and place to have received a call and job offer right when I got my hours reduced. Tolú asked if I was available to interpret in the Keizer, Eugene and any location. I said let me check what my schedule looks like and several of the days that needed coverage fit perfectly in my schedule. My full time is at an Apartment Complex that is part of Portland Housing, and our paperwork to qualify is complex. I was in need of translation services with a potential resident that needed Vietnamese/English translation. Unable to move forward, I quickly turned to Google and came across Language Connection PDX. I don't know if their response time is always this fast, but I filled out their online contact form and Tolu (Owner/Manager i think) was on the phone with us in 10 minutes. Within 15 I had Suong (Vietnamese Translator) on a call with us, and she was amazing. She was able to help us come to an understanding with the potential resident, and I definitely appreciated her efforts and the service they provide. Thank you so much, I will be using in the future

They pay their interpreters right away, by far the quickest of any agency I've heard of. We used their services today (9/16/25) and I can honestly say they exceeded all my expectations. The interpreter (Mesdu I believe thats how you spell his name) called us as soon as he arrived and waited patiently as we were 15 mins late due to being stuck behind a passing train. He was very easy going and helped us calm down our nerves at our immigration appointment. Very nice guy, he interpreted word by word, not just summarized! I know this because I am bilingual myself, but I was not allowed to interpret at this appointment due to the regulations. Amazing amazing service and due to the appointment being 2 hours when we initially had reserved for a 2.5 hr appointment (which then takes away from them being able to assign an interpreter anywhere else) they were super sweet and didn't charge us that extra half hour. Would recommend 10/10 and plan to use for any future needs.

We had such a wonderful experience working with Language Connection. Tolú responded immediately every time I reached out, and she was always so pleasant, professional, and kind. Our request was a bit unusual—we needed an interpreter for the filming of a nature documentary—but she went above and beyond to find the perfect fit and make sure every detail was taken care of. In the end, due to production changes, we didn’t end up needing the service, but the level of care, responsiveness, and dedication we experienced left a lasting impression. If we ever need an interpreter in the area again, Language Connection will be my very first choice.
