A 2025.12.15

     

I started Extension 1 maths tutoring with my tutor, Emma Feng, at KIS after falling behind in class and feeling pretty lost, especially when topics started building on each other. What helped most was that I never felt rushed or judged for not understanding something. I could stop and ask questions at any point, even if they were really basic, and everything was explained clearly until I fully understood. Instead of just being shown how to do questions, Emma taught me why we even picked those methods. Emma always focused on what I personally needed help with. We spent time fixing gaps from earlier topics, which helped everything click together. Over time, I felt like my confidence improved a lot and maths stopped feeling overwhelming. Even after my HSC this year, I have recommended Emma to all my friends because I would’ve been really screwed without her :)

Hannah has made such a difference for me in my studies this year. She explains everything slow and in depth to help me understand better, and uses resources such as screen sharing to visually work things out with me. I have greatly improved in many of my subjects such as chemistry and methods and I would highly recommend her!

if you're struggling with vce literature/english, or just need that extra boost in your sac scores, Pooja is your way to go! pooja is as engaged in your literature material as you are, and puts her best effort into teaching you the content, providing feedback, and provides the best advice as a mentor. forget chatgpt, pooja literally has the most in-depth, thoughtful analysis that reflectively enhances your writing skills. lastly, pooja always makes sure that the tutoring sessions are not just monotonous and reptitive: you can always tell she really cares about her students and their work, making sure the sessions are engaging, personalised, and most importantly, fun :)

Rashad has been tutoring my son for over 2 years without this tutoring my son would not have been accepted into highschool in a accelerated learning for gifted students, my son is not gifted naturally he is taught and it is money worth spent. I recommend Rashad tutoring ongoing .. my son has received certificates in maths the only way to a great start is to put in the effort.. if you cannt find a tutor like Rashad that connects to kids helps them exceed there own expectations

Gayatri Shingal is an amazing maths tutor. Gayatri tutored me for Year 12 Atar Math Methods. She has an in depth knowledge of the course, and explained concepts I didn’t understand in class in simpler terms and with examples. She was able to help me target areas I struggled in by finding me a variety of difficult questions on those topics. Gayatri helped me improve my grade massively and would 100% recommend her to anyone seeking a math tutor!

Adam has been fantastic . His explanations are thorough , he understands the curriculums extremely well, he’s very polite and articulate and , most importantly , communicates well with younger boys and has a great sense of humour . It was such a great experience, and my tutor, Alexis Chau, was absolutely amazing. I definitely wouldn’t have gotten through Year 12 without her. I was tutored by Maahee for 2 months in preparation for Stage 2 exams on topics Biology and Psychology. During this period I also had multiple tests in these subjects; the tutoring considerably contributed to my results in these tests along with the exams. Maahee is an amazing and highly accomodating tutor, who is incredible at teaching and explaining complex concepts in many different ways to maximise comprehension and information retention. I strongly recommend her as a high school tutor for topics Biology and/or Psychology. Note: She also has amazing study notes for every topic in both subjects she teaches! (I found these very useful).

Penny Zhang is an amazing tutor! She is hardworking and willing to put in extra work to help her students. She has an incredible passion for Literature and this flows onto her students. Penny is also extremely flexible. Nothing is ever too much trouble for her. Dhruvin has been very helpful with my year 11 methods and physics subjects. He has been very patient and has taught me many things that they just don't teach you at school. He is very helpful with helping me understand topics I struggle with. My grades have improved a lot and I am now well prepared for year 12. Definitely recommend.
