Highly recommend John ! He captured our girls ( 2 girls and lab) perfectly! He just knew how to get the girls personalities to shine amazingly in every photo including our Labrador! Not many out there that can capture the perfect photos of kids and dogs as a combination but John did it spot on ! He made us feel so relaxed as well with our chaos !

John is a lovely chap who put both of us and our dog at ease during the photography session. Pictures were excellent. Thanks John

Thank you so much, Mhairi! It was a real pleasure having you, David and Zak at the studio. He’s a stunning German Shepherd (one of the most beautiful I've ever photographed), and once he’d settled in he was an absolute star in front of the camera. Couple-and-dog sessions are some of my favourites because they show how much your dog is part of the family, and I think your photos really capture that. Sally and I loved seeing the finished images come together. Thank you for making the trip over from Kibworth Harcourt, and please give Zak a fuss from both of us.
Best wishes

We cannot praise John Jenkins Photography enough! We received a family photoshoot as a gift, and it absolutely did not disappoint! From the initial phone call to the actual day of the shoot, everything was completely stress-free and delightful. Sally made sure everyone was comfortable with the arrangements for the day and John put us all at ease through his humour and patience. The pictures are of outstanding quality and we couldn't be happier with them! The day was full of laughter, and our photographs definitely capture the special bond we have as a family. We would definitely recommend contacting John Jenkins Photography if you are looking for top quality photography in a relaxed, fun environment.

Thank you so much for this lovely review, Jamie!

I’m so pleased the family photoshoot was such a wonderful gift, and that the whole experience felt relaxed from start to finish. Sally will be delighted to hear that her planning helped everyone feel comfortable before the day. That part matters a lot to both of us, because a family shoot always goes better when nobody is worrying about the details.

It was a genuinely fun session, and I’m glad the laughter and patience paid off. Those natural, happy moments are what show the bond between you all, and I’m thrilled you love the final images as much as I enjoyed taking them.

It was a real pleasure welcoming your family to the studio in Lutterworth, and I hope we get to do it all again in the future.

John has a lovely studio in Lutterworth with plenty of parking nearby (and next door to the Real Ale Classroom in case you're early for your appointment!). There are stairs so maybe tricky for people with limited mobility. He immediately put us and the dogs at ease. He clearly is used to working with dogs as he had lots of tricks to get them to settle and focus on the camera. We are delighted with our photos as he has really captured the different personalities of our two boys and as fox red labradors, they look amazing against the black background. Definitely recommend John for a photo shoot.

Thank you so much, Graham — this one really made my day. Fox red labradors are a gift to photograph, and your two boys were great company. Getting a pair of dogs to settle and look at the lens at the same moment is honestly half the job, so I'm glad the tricks earned their keep. That black background was the right call too — it makes a red coat absolutely glow, and I think it's why their personalities come through so clearly.

You make a fair point about the stairs at the Lutterworth studio. Anyone who'd find them tricky is very welcome to give me a ring before booking — I can usually work something out.

And yes, the Real Ale Classroom next door has rescued more than one early arrival and a few post shoot celebrations. Thanks again for the recommendation.

Hi Chlo,

Thank you so much for taking the time to leave such a lovely review. It’s brilliant to hear you already have your photos up on the wall; that’s exactly where they belong, and it makes my day knowing they’re being enjoyed every day rather than sitting on a hard drive.

I really enjoyed your pet photography session, and I’m glad you felt it was good value too. It was lovely of you to travel over from Northampton to the studio in Lutterworth. Sally and I would love to see you again whenever you’re ready for more photos, whether that’s another shoot with your dog Pebbles or a family session with everyone together.

Thanks again, Chlo!

James, thank you for making the trip from Hinckley with Toga. He was a little unsure at first, so we gave him all the time he needed to find his feet at my Lutterworth studio. Patience is the most important part of any pet photography session with a nervous dog, and your Staffordshire Terrier was worth every minute. Your digital files are full resolution, so they're ready for large wall prints. Give Toga a fuss from me.

We booked John for a dog portrait/couples shoot. John provided an overview price list up front with a follow up one for the detailed choices available. John was welcoming and professional throughout and patient in setting up the shots with our border collie. We came back about a week later to look at the shots and loved them all. Loads of choice in sizes, finishes and styles. We opted for the digital package containing all the shots taken on the day (both colour and b&w) so that we could make calendars & mugs etc for family. These were high resolution so no detail lost. Great photos, friendly and professional service. Highly recommend. Session type: Couples plus pet portrait Hometown: Coalville, Leicestershire

Thank you for taking the time to write such a thorough review, and for making the trip over to the studio from Coalville.

Your border collie was a star. Collies tend to think hard about everything, so it's always worth going slowly and letting them settle before asking for the shot, and I'm glad that patience showed in the final images. Beau is such a beautiful dog — I was really pleased to show him at his best.

Being upfront about pricing matters to me, so it's good to know the price list was useful before you committed to anything. The full digital package is a sensible choice when you've got calendars and mugs in mind: everything from the day, colour and black and white, at full resolution so nothing is lost when it's printed. At that resolution you're not limited to small items either — wall art, albums and digital frames are all well within reach if you fancy them.

Thank you both for the recommendation, and for posting such a lovely shot of Beau.

Best wishes

My wife and I took the dogs to the studio after winning a Facebook competition. For a dog shoot , John was amazing and patient with the dogs and the results spoke for themselves selves , we ended up buy all of the digital files as there were too many picture we loved to choose from Helen &scott Byfeild Northampton

Scott — good to have you and Helen bring Bernard your Clumber spaniel and Bramble your labrador-spaniel cross over from Byfield to the Lutterworth studio. They certainly are a pair of characters. Two dogs in one dog photography session means twice as many frames to choose between, so taking the full set of digital files is often the sensible call and I don't blame you they're absolutely lovely. They come at a resolution that holds up at large wall-print sizes whenever you want one. Once again, thank you so much and I look forward to seeing you again best wishes John.

I booked a session with John Jenkins Photography for photos of me and my two Golden Retrievers, Kasper and Stanley. The whole experience felt relaxed and genuinely enjoyable. There was no pressure, no rushing, just a lovely atmosphere that made it easy to just be ourselves. What really stood out was how brilliant John was with the dogs. Kasper and Stanley aren't exactly known for doing as they're told, but John was patient, playful, and clearly knew how to get the best out of them. The photos captured both dogs' personalities beautifully, and some of the shots of the three of us together are exactly what I'd hoped for. If you're thinking about booking a pet photography session, I wouldn't hesitate to recommend John Jenkins Photography. Truly lovely work.

Amanda,
Kasper and Stanley were great fun — two Golden Retrievers with plenty of opinions between them. On a pet photography session I let the dogs set the pace, so they had time to sniff about and settle before we got going, which is usually why the personalities come through. Your digital files are full resolution, so if you fancy going big on the wall with one of the three of you, they'll take it. Thanks for making the trip over from Market Harborough.
Best wishes

My son gave me a voucher for my birthday. We travelled from Leighton Buzzard and met the rest of our family at the studio. We received a warm welcome when we arrived and John made everyone feel at ease. He was brilliant with our two granddaughters (6 & 3) and really captured who they are. We have some amazing photos of them, the whole family (including a 5 month old puppy) along with individual photos. The whole experience was great and a lot of fun, we would definitely recommend John.

Dear Sheila,
Thank you so much for such a lovely review, and happy birthday! What a wonderful way to celebrate, with the whole family together, including your granddaughters and that gorgeous 5-month-old puppy.
It's always a joy for me when a session brings generations together, and I loved being able to capture your two granddaughters just as they are, along with those special family and individual shots too. It clearly meant a lot to have everyone under one roof (and paw!) for the day, and I'm so pleased the whole experience was full of warmth and fun for you all.
I know it's a real journey from Leighton Buzzard, so thank you for making the trip to the studio, I'm so glad it was worth it! Your recommendation means the world to me.
Wishing you and your family many happy memories with these photos for years to come.
Warmest wishes,
John

Thank you, Amie! Your kind words about feeling welcome during the shoot really mean a lot — Sally and I always want couples (and their four-legged family members!) to relax and enjoy the experience. I'm so glad the photos turned out to be ones you'll treasure. Thank you so much for travelling from Kibworth Beauchamp. If you're ever back in the Leicestershire area for another shoot, we'd love to see you both (and your pup!) again.

Thank you so much, Paris! It means the world to hear you had such a lovely experience — that's exactly what I aim for every time. Sally and I are so glad you felt comfortable throughout your shoot, and it was an absolute joy having you, your mum, and your gorgeous Cocker Spaniel in the studio!
Those mother-daughter (and puppy!) portrait sessions are always so special to capture, and your little Cocker Spaniel was a superstar in front of the camera. We hope the photos bring you all smiles for years to come.
It was wonderful welcoming you all the way from Knighton in Leicester, and we truly hope to see you — and that adorable pup — back for another session soon!

Had a fantastic time at Johns studio, it was a very laid back session with a 12 week old puppy at the time. Photos that were taken were amazing, especially due to my dog being all black, John managed to capture all his features. Very pleased and would highly recommend. Thanks

I’m so glad you enjoyed our session! Capturing those fine details on a black coat can be a challenge, so I’m thrilled you love the results. It was a pleasure meeting you, Sam and your pup. Thank you for travelling from Solihull to our studio. I look forward to seeing you all again for another relaxed shoot in the future! 🐾

We travelled from Burbage for a family and dog photoshoot. The whole experience was fantastic. He managed the dog well which fora. large puppy is no mean feat. He provided clear direction for the poses. The studio was well equipped and comfortable. The end result was beautiful and the prices were excellent. Would highly recommend to anyone in the Leicestershire area.

We won a dog photoshoot competition at John Jenkins Photography which we thoroughly enjoyed. We visited as a family with our 2 labradors, age 5 and 3 months. John was extremely patient and worked wonders capturing lots of fantastic photos, despite the chaos with the labradors. We felt comfortable and at ease during the photoshoot, there was no rush and we had a variety of family photos, single photos, and portraits of the dogs. We would definitely recommend.
