My husband and I had the best time on the kayak/snorkel tour with Bryan and Alexa. We’ve done other snorkels in Key West but they really didn’t compare. I actually disliked both prior enough that I was hesitant to try again, but I was so enticed by the ecological emphasis that I decided to go for it with Honest Eco.
Bryan was SO knowledgeable and able to answer all our questions and share so much information while still keeping the tour very fun-friendly and approachable for non-biologists and inexperienced kayakers/snorklers. He made my husband regret not pursuing his marine biology degree, lol.
We were lucky enough to swim within arms reach of a huge sea turtle and get an amazing view of a big eel, angel fish, starfish, and so many others. The birds around the mangrove island were beautiful and so fun to watch.
Captain Alexa was a joy and also had a lot of information to share, while keeping us all safe on the water. She even took a little detour after getting word about a pod of dolphins nearby, and we were able to see 4! That makes 5 with the “convenient dolphin” we spotted only minutes after getting started.

Really just excellent from start to finish. Our group was 3 adults and 2 kids (ages 3 and 6). Captain Christine and First mate Heather were top notch. Good array of snacks provided (veggies, hummus, fruit) and water as well. Lots and lots of dolphin sightings and very cool snorkeling area. Everyone had a blast.

Peaceful and informative
This cruise was delightful and informative on a beautiful late afternoon—the captain and crew made sure all our needs were met and let us know what to expect. We enjoyed fresh fruit and veggies while Haddon (our resident scientist) explained what the dolphins were up to and what makes them unique to this area. Gorgeous sunset with a relaxed vibe.

We saw so many dolphins and learned a ton about them. The snorkeling was absolutely breathtaking, and Bryan even joined us in the water to point out different species. Hands down, I recommend Honest Eco over any other option!
The dolphins didn't really show up, so that was disappointing, but the rest was lots of fun. Our guide Brian and captain Kristin were knowledgeable, friendly, and professional. Snorkeling was enjoyable and we got a full hour on the reef. It was nice to be on a small boat, with less bother dealing with lots of us tourists.

A Day To Rember!
What an amazing experience. The mangroves that we travelled to were way offshore and as pristine as it gets. Our captain, Alexa got us there through a maze of sandbars and got us within kayaking distance. That is when our naturalist guide/biologist Jacki took over and describe the incredible wildlife we were sharing the mangroves with. Including the small sharks swimming around our kayaks. Afterwards we jumped in and had an amazing snorkel around the garden of sponges filled with all sorts of fish life. On our way back Captain Alexa set sail while we watched for dplphins all the way back home to Key West. Certainly a day on the water we will all remember for a long time to come.
