My mother and 2 teenage sons went on the dolphin spotting and snorkeling tour while in KeyWest on vacation. Captain Patrick and first mate Heather were fantastic hosts. Heather’s deep knowledge and understanding of the local ecosystem and aquatic life were exceptional. Captain Patrick expertly navigated us to where the dolphin action was happening that afternoon and also managed to bring us to a huge sting ray as an extra bonus. Adding a level of complexity to our tour, we had a rude, intoxicated woman on the boat (she was not allowed in the water for obvious safety reasons) and Heather and Patrick somehow managed to handle her constant interruptions and general antics with firm but polite hands, minimizing her negative impact on the rest of us. Overall, we had a great experience, although the windy weather made snorkeling a bit of a challenge. We still managed to see some great fish and enjoyed a beautiful sunny day out on the water.

We did Honest Eco’s morning sail and snorkel tour and, unfortunately, it didn’t live up to expectations. The crew felt pretty disengaged and not very enthusiastic about taking us out—it kind of felt like they were just going through the motions, which set a weird tone from the start. We were taken to a sponge bed instead of a reef, and they said it was due to weather conditions. But we spoke to others at our hotel who went out with a different company around the same time and did get to snorkel on a reef, and saw much more than we did, so that part was pretty frustrating. The tour was also advertised as “guided,” but that felt like a big stretch. The guide gave a short rundown on how to use the gear, but didn’t share anything about what we might see or help point things out. It was uninformative at best. This is on top of not really being in a great area to see much marine life. He barely got in the water—most of the time he just stayed on the boat while we snorkeled on our own. Overall, it just felt like a missed opportunity for a more engaging and enjoyable experience.

These guys are great! We've been out with them two years in a row. The captains and crews are real pros. They know a lot about the local habitat, and the Squid is a comfortable and capable vessel. Thanks for a couple of great trips!

Our Captain and Crew were friendly, engaging and knowledgable. 3 teens and 2 parents had a great time in the water exploring and throughout the sail!

We had an amazing time with Captain Chase. We had two small children and the activities he recommended were “spot-on”! The mangrove sandbars were the favorite of the girls. If you have a young family I highly recommend Homestead Echo Tours.

Capt. Dale and 1st mate Ben were FABULOUS! Both are clearly comitted to the eco part of the company's mission and their attention to guests' safety is obvious and appreciated. We had a really wonderful time seeking out dolphins and watching sea turtles pop their heads above the water. And the absence of plastic (cups, wrappers etc...) was a welcome aspect that you don't find too many places in Key West. 5 stars!!

My mom and I did an Honest Eco tour 2 years ago, and we loved it so much we brought the whole family back this trip! It was a highly informative tour; we got to learn a lot about the marine life and the landscape we were seeing. Captain Rachel and our guides Bryan & Grace were all so lovely, highly knowledgeable, and made our trip very enjoyable. We didn’t get to see any dolphins but we saw a massive turtle and had a great experience regardless! Our group size was small which made it a more intimate experience than some other offerings we saw. Would absolutely recommend this experience for the whole family!

We had a fabulous dolphin/snorkel adventure with Honest Eco Tours! We had the most amazing show by the dolphins and saw beautiful fish while snorkeling. While our kids (8&9) struggled a bit with the snorkeling being their first time, they were happy to hang on the boat with Capitan Dale while we snorkeled for a bit. Capitan Dale and guide Bryan made it a very family friendly experience and the fresh fruit, veggies and hummus were a hit. We especially loved the emphasis on conservation education and guide Bryan was so knowledgeable! We would highly recommend Honest Eco Tours and look forward to returning next year.

This was a great experience! Knowledgeable and friendly staff. We had a great time hanging out with them and they obviously enjoy what they do.

Dale and Haden were knowledgeable, funny and friendly hosts. We would definitely do this tour again.

We did the Sunset/Dolphin cruise. It was an easy cruise for our 6 and 9 year old girls. Captain Dale and Hadden were wonderful and very informative. We will definitely return for the longer dolphin cruise.

Patrick and Bryan were fantastic guides! They explained everything, answered questions, gave updates along the way and provided delicious snacks. It was awesome having an expert dolphin and marine life guide (Bryan) who pointed out cool things along the way.we saw dolphins in the beginning and the end! It felt nice knowing Honest Eco was ethical and wildlife friendly which is very important to us. I felt safe and trusted them both, would definitely recommend.

This was a perfect trip. It was small, but still with plenty of room, and the crew was fabulous. They were particularly helpful with our tween who was a little hesitant at first. Their kindness and skill helped her become a snorkel lover! That would not have happened with a larger boat loaded with people. The fruit and veggies were nice, too.

We had an amazing time on the snorkel + kayak + sunset tour! Heather, Sam and Captain provided clear instructions and guidance, were knowledgeable, professional and courteous. 10/10 would recommend. Kudos to the music selection, all around relaxed vibes and encouragement to be curious ☮️🏝️⛵️
