Green Planet Restoration of Seattle's inspector found mold creeping up into the studs, further than I expected from such a small crack. They contained the bathroom, tore out the tile and drywall, treated the framing, and rebuilt it with a proper vapor barrier this time. The retest came back clean, and honestly the new tile job looks better than the original.

Thank you, Bethany, for taking the time to share your experience! It’s surprising how far mold can spread from what initially appears to be a small crack, so we’re glad our Green Planet Restoration of Seattle inspector was able to identify the extent of the issue before it became a larger problem. We’re pleased our team could contain the bathroom, carefully remove the affected tile and drywall, treat the framing, and rebuild the area with improved moisture protection. Hearing that the retest came back clean is especially rewarding, and we love that you’re happier with the new tile than the original! Thank you for trusting our team with your home and restoration.

A windstorm off the Sound knocked half our chimney down through the roof and into the attic insulation. We heard the crash from the living room and thought a tree had come through. This company tarped the opening that same night so we wouldn't get a second round of rain damage before repairs could even start. Over the next few weeks they rebuilt the chimney, replaced the attic insulation. My wife keeps saying the house looks better than it did before the storm. Green Planet Restoration of Seattle did a great job.

Thank you, Mattie, for sharing your experience! We can only imagine how alarming it was to hear that the windstorm had brought part of your chimney through the roof, especially with more rain on the way. We’re glad our Green Planet Restoration of Seattle team could respond that same night and tarp the opening to help protect your home from additional water damage. We’re also happy to hear that the chimney was rebuilt, the damaged attic insulation was replaced, and the finished result looks even better than before. Thank you for highlighting our pricing and for trusting our team throughout the restoration process!

In May, 2025 we suffered catastrophic water damage when the fresh water line to a toilet broke during the night. Our main floor and finished basement suffered extensive water damage. We contacted Green Planet Restoration after turning off the water to the house and Olman arrived at our house within 4 hours to start the drying out process. Several more people arrived after that to assist. David Malka arrived that same day to discuss the restoration and rebuild process. We found David to be very professional yet compassionate at the same time. David was instrumental in helping us to deal with the insurance company and after a period of several months our claim was assigned to the Large Loss Team. Green Planet (David) handled everything from securing materials to hiring subcontractors to complete our rebuild. All of the wood flooring on the main floor was replaced. The Kitchen was gutted and rebuilt with new cabinets and counter tops. The basement required new sheet rock, flooring, cabinets and paint. We are very happy with the result. Suffering extensive damage like we did was pretty traumatic, but Green Planet made the whole process so much better. David is an honest, caring guy who was a pleasure to work with. We highly recommend them.

Hi Don,
Thanks so much for the wonderful recommendation! A fresh water line breaking during the night causing catastrophic damage to your main floor and finished basement is absolutely traumatic. We're really glad Olman could arrive within 4 hours to start the drying process and that David could be there the same day to discuss restoration.
David will really appreciate knowing his professionalism and compassion made such a difference during such a difficult time. Helping you deal with the insurance company, handling the Large Loss Team assignment, and managing everything from materials to subcontractors for that extensive rebuild – that's comprehensive service. Several months of rebuilding with new flooring, gutted kitchen, basement work – that's a massive project, and we're so happy you're pleased with the result!
David being an honest, caring guy who was a pleasure to work with – that means the world to us. Thanks for trusting Green Planet Restoration of Seattle!
If you need anything in the future, we're here for you.
Warm regards,
Green Planet Restoration of Seattle

Nothing prepares you for coming home to sewage backed up through the basement floor drain. It was our home office down there, and the smell alone made me want to burn the carpet. I called Green Planet Restoration of Seattle in a panic and they didn't flinch suited up, extracted the contaminated water, and disposed of everything. They sanitized the whole space with hospital-grade disinfectant and ran air scrubbers for three days straight. When they were done, my husband actually asked if he could sit down there and work again, which tells you everything...
Reply from Green Planet Restoration of Seattle2026.08.27
Thank you, Jasper, for sharing your experience! We know how overwhelming a sewage backup can be, especially in a home office. Our Seattle team was glad to respond quickly, safely remove the contaminated water and affected materials, thoroughly sanitize the space, and use air scrubbers to help restore a clean environment. We’re happy to hear your home office was comfortable enough to use again. Thank you for trusting Green Planet Restoration of Seattle!

We'd lived in our Ballard craftsman for six winters and never had an issue, until an ice dam formed along the north side of the roof and water started seeping into the guest bedroom ceiling. Green Planet Restoration of Seattle came out the next morning, cut into the ceiling to check for hidden moisture. They dried the space, replaced the damaged insulation and patched the roofline so it wouldn't happen again with the next freeze. My father-in-law, who used to do this kind of work himself, said they did it right.
Reply from Green Planet Restoration of Seattle2026.08.27
Thank you, Abbey, for sharing such a thoughtful review! We’re glad our Seattle team could respond quickly, identify the hidden moisture, properly dry the affected area, and address the damaged insulation and roofline. It means a lot to hear that your father-in-law was impressed with the quality of our work. We truly appreciate your trust in Green Planet Restoration of Seattle!

We had water damage in our basement that had been dried by another company. The night before floor contractors were scheduled to come to our home, David cold-called us about replacing the flooring. He was able to come out that evening to provide an estimate, which we appreciated and accepted. We later discovered that this visit resulted in an after-hours charge of nearly $500, something we were not aware of at the time.
While at our home, David discovered that some areas had not been completely dried by the first company. Because we had an active insurance claim, and with our permission, he immediately arranged for his crew to continue the drying process. At first, we felt he was knowledgeable, responsive, and genuinely focused on our needs.
Our insurance company requested that a third party inspect and confirm some of the issues David had identified. David insisted on being present during that inspection. The situation was uncomfortable, and we were later surprised to see an additional $119 charge for his involvement.
Five days later, we contacted the original company about their failure to completely dry the affected areas. They acknowledged the issue, wanted to make things right, and asked for the opportunity to earn our business back. We therefore notified Green Planet that we were ending their services.
Unfortunately, this is when our experience changed considerably. The tone and attitude toward us became harsh and uncomfortable. Although we had understood that the mitigation work would be handled through our insurance claim, we were suddenly told the bill needed to be paid by us immediately. We were also contacted by a collections company and told that if the bill wasn't paid by Friday, a lien would be placed on our home.
We were disappointed by the way the situation was handled. Our initial impression was that customer needs were the priority, but once we decided not to continue using the company, we felt the relationship changed dramatically.
Our experience is ultimately a reminder to carefully review all charges and understand the payment terms before allowing work to begin--especially when insurance is involved.

We initially left a 2-star review because of our experience with Green Planet during a water-damage situation. We had significant concerns about several charges on our invoice, the handling of our insurance claim, and the way our relationship changed after we decided not to continue with the company.
After seeing our reviews, Green Planet reached out to us and asked for the opportunity to make things right. We had a lengthy conversation, they listened to our concerns, and they offered to refund $500, which represents the charges we had disputed.
I appreciate that the company was willing to listen and take action. Because they made an effort to address our concerns, I have changed our rating from 2 stars to 3 stars.
That said, I do want to be honest that this resolution came only after we had posted our concerns publicly. We had previously tried to resolve the issues directly, including asking the company to work with us while our insurance claim was being processed, but we did not feel heard at that point.
I'm glad we were eventually able to have a productive conversation and reach a financial resolution. My hope is that Green Planet will take this experience to heart and improve communication with customers from the beginning—especially when dealing with stressful situations involving water damage and insurance.
Our original experience was disappointing, but I do appreciate their willingness to come back to the table and try to make it right.

We appreciate your honesty and the opportunity to have a productive conversation, listen to your concerns, and work toward a resolution. We’re glad we were able to address the disputed charges and reach a financial resolution. We take your feedback about communication and clarity around charges and insurance seriously, and we’ll use it to improve our process going forward. Thank you for giving us the opportunity to make things right.
Beware of unexpected fees
We initially appreciated the responsiveness and expertise during our water damage situation, especially with David arranging immediate assistance for areas missed by a previous company. However, unexpected after-hours charges and additional fees for his presence during an inspection left us feeling misled. When we decided to end their services and return to the original company, the tone shifted dramatically. We were pressured to pay the bill directly, despite believing our insurance would handle it, and even faced threats of a lien. This experience highlighted the importance of clarifying costs and payment terms upfront, as transitioning away from their services led to unnecessary stress.

How this place has any good reviews is mind blowing! Not sure if these other customers just didn’t pay attention to their work or if David and his crew just decided to do a horrific job at our house. We had been forced out of our house from June 23rd, 2025 to October 10th, 2025. What was supposed to be a 2 week job turned into over 4 months. We understand that things can come up and cause a delay but that wasn’t the issue. They had to redo everything they did twice because they did not do a proper job the first time. The tile they put into the shower was done and the tiles were not aligned. Therefore they had to redo it. When they laid concrete in the bathroom, they had to redo due to mistakes. They had to redo the flooring twice, and because of that we hired someone else to do the flooring, because we did not trust that they could do it properly. They were supposed to do carpet throughout the back of the house but since they did such a half hearted job with everything else, we hired a whole different company to do the carpet, we didn’t want to have to redo that more than once. On multiple occasions the workers were rude and not respectful. One example, my mother wanted two built in shelves in the shower, which they already planned on, but David freaked out on her and said and I quote “I am already giving you enough free stuff”. Disrespectful and unprofessional. Enough free stuff? After multiple checks and insurance checks were given to you. David was horrible at replying and getting his crew to work at the house. Save yourself the headache and hire someone else.

We hired Green Planet Restoration for a mold remediation project, and they exceeded our expectations from start to finish.
Their team quickly identified the source of the moisture using professional moisture meters and thermal imaging cameras, which gave us confidence that the root cause was being addressed instead of just treating the symptoms.
They carefully removed all affected materials while maintaining proper containment. After the demolition, they thoroughly cleaned the area using HEPA vacuums and commercial-grade air scrubbers. What really impressed us was that they went beyond the required scope by sanitizing and wiping down surrounding areas to make sure everything was clean and safe.
The project was completed professionally, on schedule, and with excellent communication throughout the process. Best of all, the property passed the mold clearance test on the first attempt, allowing our reconstruction to move forward without any delays.
If you're looking for a knowledgeable, honest, and detail-oriented restoration company, I highly recommend Green Planet Restoration. Their expertise, advanced equipment, and commitment to doing the job right truly set them apart.
