O começo do ano 2026 não poderia ser melhor... eu e minha namorada, decidimos por percorrer alguns dias pela Chapada Diamantina nos arredores de Lençois. E por uma feliz "garimpagem" (perdoe o trocadilho) encontramos a Mamut e Marcelo (guia de alto astral e figura ímpar). Super recomendamos, posso dizer que saí de Lençois com um carinho especial pela cidade e pelas pessoas que nos acolheram. Forte abraço equipe Mamut, sucesso, parabéns e muito obrigado pelo carinho.

Nice experience!
The trip was very nice and just as described. The communication and organization was very good, only thing: They told us that we don't need long pants, that it will be very hot. But the first day was rainy and windy so we got quite cold and felt uncomfortable & not very prepared. The difficulty of the hike can get also very hard as with full rain it gets very slippery. After this we had two splendid days and enjoyed it a lot. The views and the park is totally worth a visit.
Très peu d’explications et de consignes avant le trek, même sur l’équipement à avoir. Erreur dans le programme et sur l’heure de départ. Les distances indiquées sur leur site ne sont pas justes (20 km au lieu de 12). Les conditions météo ne nous ont pas permis d’atteindre notre objectif et nous avons dû prendre la décision par nous même de faire demi-tour car les conditions devenaient dangereuses et le trek se serait terminé à la nuit sans équipement prévu pour. Peu de professionnalisme et aucun geste commercial.

Rainy season is very nice because we see the waterfalls but bad because some custom profiles customer are not often on it. The guide agreed to come back because the weather and visit another attraction on your wayback. This is our protocol and it was not your part to decide about it. And saying like this is like if in our website it wasn’t on all itineraries is written “tours can be changed on rainy season or conditions the guides feels not safe”, so please pay more attention.

The experience with Mamut Tracking was nothing short of unforgettable — and I know that might sound like a cliché, but when you live it yourself, you’ll realize it truly enriches you as a person. Being immersed in such extraordinary nature is breathtaking, but it’s not just the scenery that leaves a mark: it’s the people too.
Gabriel, Marcelo and Hans accompanied and supported us throughout the entire experience with a level of attentiveness, expertise and warmth that is truly rare. After one of our hikes, they took us to Vale do Capão, recommending local products and walking us through the village, proudly showing us the wonderful land they call home.
The following day we ran into an unexpected issue: the bus back to Salvador was fully booked and we were at risk of missing our flight. We reached out to them and they immediately got to work finding an alternative solution, locating another bus departing from a town two hours away from Lençóis and even arranging a ride to get us there late in the evening.
A service we wholeheartedly recommend. You are amazing — we absolutely must come back. Sending you a big hug,

We had an amazing time on our 3 day Vale do Pati trek with Mamut Trekking. Our guide Atila was super fun, enthusiastic and really knowledgeable in respect of the area and really looked after the group. Communication and organisation was seamless throughout the trek. Atila made sure we hit the best areas for swimming and, more importantly, the viewpoints at the right time or in the right weather conditions. The trek was beautiful. We also stayed in good accommodation both nights and the food was excellent! If you’re looking to hike Vale do Pati I would definitely go with Mamut.
Great guys who helped us a lot and showed us magical beauty of Chapada Diamantina. We chose 3-day trekking in Pati Valley and it was just me and my girlfriend and our fantastic guide- Felipe. Organisationwise everything was top notch and the food we have been provided was delicious. During the hike we've had enough time to take pictures, swim in the rivers and waterfalls or just have some break and rest a bit. Our schedule was always weather and conditions-dependent and together with lot of interesting facts and observations. To sum up, I would recommend Mamut Trekking to anyone who visits Chapada Diamantina.
Marcelo was great to deal with and quick to answer all of our questions setting up for our 3 day Vale do Pati trek. Our guide Aurora was AMAZING - couldn’t imagine having a better guide. She truly loves this place and takes genuine pleasure in showing it off to newcomers from around the world. Language barrier was non-existent as they both spoke excellent English. Highly recommend Mamut if you’re looking for adventure in Chapada Diamantina!

Fantastic experience doing a 3 day Vale Do Pati trek with Aurora as our guide! Aurora spoke English extremely well and was very knowledgeable about the area including much of the flora, pointing out many things to us along our way. The sights were breathtaking, the waterfalls were epic, and adventure was awesome. Marcelo was very helpful in organizing everything for us and was extremely efficient and prompt in his responding to all of our questions. The landscape is stunning, and each day has new environments and scenery. It is challenging enough to feel fulfilling but not so hard that you aren’t having fun. This is truly one of my favorite treks I’ve ever done, and apart from the stunning nature, most of the credit for that goes to Daniel - from his evening campfire singing/rapping and guitar playing to his hilarious jokes and wealth of knowledge about the area, we couldn’t have asked for a better guide. I would go again with Mamut Trekking in a heartbeat!

Diamantina Mountains agency referred us to Mamut Agency, where Marcelo made the arrangements for trekking with guide Felipe. It was amazing! Felipe assessed our ability and interests and scheduled our hiking and leisure to maintain the intensity level we wanted and maximize solitude during a very busy season. He was on the lookout for wildlife and shared his extensive knowledge of flora, fauna, geology, and history. Felipe also prepared hearty, nutritious, and delicious lunches on the trail, in beautiful locations with stunning views or swimming opportunities. The guesthouse accommodations are basic, as you would expect, and the meals were excellent, with a surprising amount of variety. May you have the privilege of enjoying the pre-dinner gengibre drink and breakfast sourdough cakes at Dona Linda’s!

We did the 3 day trek with Felipe and couldn’t recommend it enough. Felipe was a very knowledgeable and friendly guide, we learnt about all the different wild life in the region and were shown plenty of spectacular view points and waterfalls during our trip. The prepared lunches were great and the accommodation was in a perfect setting with fantastic evening meals. Mamut trekking were brilliant and we would go back to Chapada Diamantina with them in a heartbeat!
